Lyric Theatre

The oldest theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue was opened in December 1888, built with the proceeds of Cellier & Stephenson's proto-musical-comedy Dorothy. The Lyric has been a West End mainstay ever since, hosting transfers of hit shows such as Blood Brothers, Five Guys Named Moe, Burn This and Festen. The nearest tube is Piccadilly Circus (Bakerloo/Piccadilly) and the theatre is served by the 14, 19, 22B, 38, 53, 88, 94 and 159 bus routes.
