They found great support from Forth Radio DJ Legend Tom Wilson supporting the band's music on his Stepping Out Show. The Band's following grew very fast and they were soon performing 3 to 4 events a week as the UK Dance scene exploded. The media called it Rave, but this was not accurate since QFX music was so much more. Natasha Tee: Natasha is Fifes answer to dynamite. Having released her 1st dance single on the QFX Label Epidemic in 2025 a cover of 4 Non Blondes What's Up which entered the iTunes UK top 40 at 23 mid week and has given her a nomination for Scotland's best new dance artist of 2025 and gained huge credibility all over the world :-) 2026 will see Natasha releasing three new tracks in 2026 on the Epidemic Records Label. Her 1st track of 2026 is a co-written track with Dj David Moralee and Kirk Turnbull and is an absolute stormer of a track based on the sound of faithless insomnia but with lyrics by Natasha and music by David & Kirk this one is going to be a massive track in 2026. DJ Paul Raynor: Hawick DJ Paul Raynor is back for his second support slot at the QFX MacArts event. Paul who is a Hawick DJ and played an absolute banging set that had the crowd at MacArts going mental last June is back for an extended set this June and promises to pull out all the stops :)

In 2023, Simon travelled with legendary British mountaineer Mick Fowler to attempt the unclimbed north face of Patkhor in Tajikistan. Their trip ran smoothly until the first evening on the mountain when they both contracted food poisoning from their freeze-dried food. After some debate, they continued, but this was just the beginning of a series of events that would see them run out of food, retreat below the summit in a storm, and Simon taking a bone-breaking 100m fall during the descent. After two days of lying on the glacier waiting for a helicopter, rescuers finally arrived but were unable to carry Simon down. Somehow, he would need to summon the energy for the painful three-day walk to safety.

Withered Hand

Withered Hand

12 May 2026 - 28 Jun 2026

Withered Hand is the nom de plume of Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter Dan Willson, who started writing songs almost ten years ago during a period of reflection following the birth of his first child and the death of a close friend. With a wayward tenor and unaffected charm onstage he has come to be celebrated in his adopted country and further afield as a songwriter and lyricist of rare wit and remarkable honesty. Alongside activity with his band, Dan is also a well-travelled solo musician with a cult following. 2014 saw the release of his strident second album New Gods, which propelled Withered Hand into the charts, featuring appearances by friends, luminaries and supporters from the Scottish music scene, from Belle & Sebastian to Frightened Rabbit to The Vaselines and beyond.

The lead single fathers daughter marked a creative turning point the first song in six months that fully captured the bands new direction. With a heavy, hook-driven chorus and driving verses, it balances cinematic scale with intimate vulnerability, showcasing the bands most mature songwriting to date. Across four tracks, the EP explores identity, expectation, intimacy, and the tension between who you were and who youre becoming. Produced by Jamie Holmes and mastered by Robin Sutherland, it represents a confident step forward. A second single follows in April, building momentum toward the full EP release in May Cenobus: Cenobus are an up-and-coming alternative rock band from the Scottish Borders that play an original set of songs, with heavy influences from grunge and hard rock, as well as almost every genre out there. Attila The Stockbroker - Fiery Words for Hellish Times
As the news goes from awful to worse, Attila the Stockbroker chronicles his times in poem and song as he has done for more than four decades. Laugh, cry, get angry, above all, think! He exploded into public consciousness in 1982-3 via two John Peel sessions and a Melody Maker front cover and is now celebrating 43 years earning his living doing what he loves. Attila's words about his new book: My 10th book of poems and my most incendiary collection ever, much of it written in the past year. 88 pages and the title says it all. Dedicated to anyone who feels completely beaten down by the seemingly never-ending streams of bad news, in the hope that my words will bring you strength and make you smile too. For there isn't just rage here: there's lots of love as well. Love for the planet, for humanity, for my friends and above all for my wife Robina. And then, of course, there are the silly bits and the rude bits. I've always said that my favourite quote comes not from Marx, or Sartre, or Eisler, but Mary Poppins. 'A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!' Concession tickets are available for those in receipt of universal credit. Holders of Young Scot Card. NHS Employees. Over 65's.
