Malvern Town Heritage Guided Walk
17 May 2025 - 27 Oct 2025
Discover the rich heritage of one of Englands most charming spa towns, famed for its invigorating Water Cure.
Join one of Malvern Civic Societys volunteer guides to trace the towns evolution, from a 19th century spa destination, to its role in World War II as an important centre for secret radar development. Along the way, explore Victorian architecture, Great Malvern Priory, connections to composer Edward Elgar, and sites celebrated through Malverns many Blue Plaques, commemorating notable residents and visitors.
Whether you're a first-time visitor or a lifelong resident, youll leave with a deeper appreciation for Malverns cultural and historical legacy.
The 90 minute tours operate every Saturday and Monday from April to October, starting at 10.30 from the Tourist Information Centre,
Church Street, Malvern (01684-892289).
The cost is 7 for adults; children under 14 are free.
Sadly, due to the hilly nature of Great Malvern, these walks are unsuitable for the less mobile. Suitable footwear is required.
