Live experimental electronic music events, curated with a focus on exploratory sound and media art. Format: ARTIST FILM SCREENING + 2 LIVE ACTS Line up: HELLOCATFOOD { live } Antonio Roberts (aka hellocatfood) is a Birmingham-based musician and visual artist creating rhythmic, glitch-driven algorithmic music with TidalCycles, VCV Rack and Pure Data, often accompanied by live-coded visuals. Since 2019 he has performed across the UK and Europe at venues and festivals including Barbican, Tate Modern, Supernormal, Corsica Studios and Café OTO. RHIZOCORP { live } Rhizocorp makes sci-fi dance punk blending mutant disco, no wave and krautrock. Using hardware samplers, looping bass riffs and dub-style mixing, their performances layer dusty rhythms with warped analogue textures, alien vocals and live cassette and radio manipulation. Recent shows include ICA London, LUFF Festival (Switzerland) and Braille Satellite (Lithuania). EVA PAPAMARGARITI { video screening } Eva Papamargariti is a Greek artist working across time-based media and installation, exploring the relationship between digital space and material reality through rendered environments. Her work has been shown internationally at institutions including the New Museum, Whitney Museum, Tate Britain, MoMA PS1 and Transmediale. Presented by Margate Electronics. This is an 18+ event.

Celebrating 50 years behind the decks, legendary DJ and dance music pioneer Greg Wilson lands at Margate Arts Club for a very special extended set. Widely recognised as one of the UK’s most influential DJs, Greg played a pivotal role in shaping the early British electro, funk and dance scene. From his groundbreaking residencies in Manchester during the early ’80s to introducing UK club audiences to the cutting-edge sounds coming out of New York, he helped define the language of modern DJ culture. Known for his deep musical knowledge, impeccable record selection and audiophile-level appreciation of sound, Greg’s sets move effortlessly through electro, boogie, funk, disco, dub and cosmic grooves - always rooted in the dancefloor. Half a century into his journey, he remains one of the most respected selectors in the world. Expect an extended vinyl-driven session, packed with rare records, heavyweight low-end and the kind of musical storytelling that only comes from decades of digging, listening and living the culture. Whether you’re a dedicated dance music head, vinyl lover, or simply someone who wants to lose themselves on the dancefloor, this is a rare chance to experience a true pioneer doing what he does best. 50 years.
