Welly

Welly

2 Oct 2025 - 15 Oct 2025

Welly is an extraordinary character with a remarkable literary way of describing himself, his band and society. A square peg in the round hole of suburban life, Welly embraced his difference from an early age and went onto channel his observations on suburbia into songs. Whip-smart, playful, funny and terrifyingly smart pop songs to be precise. He then set about finding the perfect vehicle to pedal his wares and so formed a band and delivered a debut album bursting with democratised pop music for people that feel fun in the charts stopped at Love Machine by Girls Aloud.

Noel Burke (ex-Echo & The Bunnymen) Performs Reverberation
Noel Burke ex-Echo & The Bunnymen performs the album Reverberation. Noel Burke was offered one of the most difficult gigs in rock when he was offered the job of fronting Liverpool legends, Echo & The Bunnymen, following the departure of enigmatic frontman, Ian McCulloch, in 1989. The former St Vitus Dance frontman from Belfast joined up with remaining EATB members Will Sergeant and Les Pattinson and released the album Reverberation the following year in 1990. Burke toured the UK and USA with Echo & The Bunnymen and released 2 further singles before the band dissolved in 1992. Although not received well at the time, Reverberation has gone on to become a cult classic and has gained more favourable reviews as the years have passed since its release. Now, 35 years after the release of Reverberation, Noel Burke and band will be playing a few select dates in the UK performing the album in full.
The Dolly Parton Story: A Tribute To Dolly Parton
The Dolly Parton Story is exactly that. A chronological tribute to not just one of the greatest women in the history of country music, but one of the greatest human beings as well. Starting from Dollys childhood in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, the story takes us through her move to Nashville at the age of 18, her breakthrough on the Porter Wagoner Show and on through her rise to the global icon that she is today. The show covers the full 60 years of her incredible career, taking you on a musical journey through the life of a true legend, featuring hits like Jolene, Coat of Many Colours, 9 to 5 and of course, I Will Always Love You, all accompanied by stunning visual productions and narration. Theres plenty of Dolly tributes out there, but none of them tell a story while absolutely nailing everything about the great lady quite like this one. Trust us, this is something truly special. Domenic Cappello is playing McChuills. Yes, this coming July, one of the finest and most influential DJs Scotland has ever produced will be taking over the Acid Arch for what is going to be a strong contender for party of the year. Alongside DJ partner Harri, Domenic has been running Subculture, their legendary Saturday at the Sub Club for over 30 years now, which is still every bit as cutting-edge and essential as it ever was, a testament to the pairs knowledge and love for music, paired with an unparalleled instinct for moving a dancefloor. Domenics ability to read a crowd and build a groove means that he never has to resort to a succession of big tunes to move a crowd. His sets are always fresh and musically interesting, with the possibility of going anywhere. Unafraid to take it deep and dark, Domenics sound represents a marriage between the underground house and techno sounds of Chicago and Detroit, an imagined future that is both hauntingly beautiful and yet uncompromisingly intoxicating. Whether its a 1986 acid house record, an Underground Resistance tune from five years ago or the current cutting-edge gem, his sets construct a futuristic narrative in constant flux. Technically breathtaking, Domenic has the ability to set any dance-floor alight, giving crowds the kind of clubbing experience that were told doesnt happen any more. Support on the night comes from up and coming Glasgow DJs who are no stranger to sharing the decks with Domenic at Subculture themselves. Babyccinos progressive, acidic and electro-y sound has been making a hefty impact in the last few years, much like emerging duo McCart, whos style is more influenced by 80s soul, funk and early Electronica, but all tied together with a love for techno, house and everything in between.

Arny Margret and Support

Arny Margret and Support

15 Nov 2025 - 18 Nov 2025

Arny Margret is a 20 year old singer-songwriter from the Westfjords of Iceland. Born and raised in a small town called Ísafjörður, she attended a music school from the age of six learning to play the piano. When she was 14 she got her first guitar and spent hours and days in her bedroom teaching herself to play it, slowly reaching the confidence to write her own music. Her music and lyrics paint beautiful and yet painful images inspired by her personal experiences and surroundings. Through her music one can almost experience how it is to live in an isolated place, surrounded by tall mountains that block the sun for a few months every year. Her music can best be described as indie folk and although Arny Margret clearly has a sound of her own, she draws influence from the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Aldous Harding and fellow Icelander Ásgeir.

PAWS

PAWS

4 Sept 2025 - 4 Sept 2025

After several long years marked by devastating losses, broken relationships, lineup changes and numerous tours across the globe playing shows alongside bands like Frightened Rabbit, The Cribs, Death Cab For Cutie and Japanese Breakfast, Scottish rock trio PAWS – comprised of vocalist and guitarist Phillip Taylor, drummer Josh Swinney and bassist John Bonnar – returned home to Glasgow to get to work on the songs that would become Your Church On My Bonfire, the band’s fourth album and first full-length since 2016’s Mark Hoppus-produced No Grace. Rather than let the massively life-altering changes they endured overwhelm them or drive them into silence, PAWS chose to embrace those changes, allowing what came after to inspire a new version of the band reflective of the people they became in the process. Your Church on My Bonfire Your Church On My Bonfire was recorded in Scotland in October 2018. Producer and mixing engineer Andy Monaghan (Frightened Rabbit) brought out a gentler side of PAWS previously maskedby noisy guitars and raucous drums. Whereas No Grace showcased the trio at their most personally withdrawn, letting the instrumentation bear the emotional load, Your Church finds a band unafraid to lay themselves bare, with songwriter Phillip Taylor at his most tender yet, intimately addressing difficult issues like death, loss, forgiveness, regret, and mental health with touching candidness. “This record documents the last three years of my life,” says Taylor. “It focuses lyrically on themes like hindsight with regards to personal relationships and people that are no longer a part of your life, especially those that may have made a large impact on you and your development as a person, as well as change and developing to your surroundings as they shift around you.” Taylor’s introspection shines on songs like “What We Want,” a ballad about coming to understand his father – and coming to terms with their tumultuous relationship – in the aftermath of his passing, and “The Slow Sprint,” which features vocals from Gregory and the Hawk vocalist Meredith Godreau and offers an outstretched hand of hope to a lost soul struggling to find their place. Though PAWS have never shied away from using their music to forge emotional connections, Your Church On My Bonfire is a direct invitation for listeners to take an honest look at themselves, their relationships and the world around them and find beauty, compassion and kinship in the smallest things.
