There is no better feeling than seeing someone get their spark back. I specialise in working with children, teenagers and adults who are struggling with their mental wellness. I run Yoga and Flow circles, I teach fitness and wellness courses that I design and deliver – these have been hugely successful, so much so that I was blown away with the transformations that took place! Stepping Forward: Moving Into Flow

17 May 2025 - 17 May 2025

Following on from Part One of their successful Stepping Forward Workshop, Emma, Lynne and Jane bring together their collective creative and therapeutic practices to bring Part Two: ‘Moving into Flow’ In this event we will explore meeting our edges of confidence, taking a leap to find the state of flow and playing with the possibility of allowing something new and fresh into our experience. By bringing mindful awareness to the habits and patterns that stop us from finding ease and confidence in our daily lives, we can discover new ways to be in a state of flow, freeing ourselves from the restrictions of thoughts and feelings that block us from inhabiting this place. Using playful practices drawn from drama, dance and voice, we bring kindly awareness and a sense of curiosity to what it feels like to move in and out of these states and find ease and alignment with our core confidence. Fascia Reset Techniques, Integrated Songwork and Energetic Release
Join Anders to learn bodywork techniques that reset and release the fascial tissues of the body, while integrating the power of the voice through song and melodies. This workshop will be a two-hour class in which the participants will learn bodywork techniques to reset and release fascia in themselves and others. It will delve into the use of songwork in healing practices and the ways that this can be used for energetic release. This workshop is open to all levels. A message from your host, Anders of AER Bodywork: The body is a complex system that works on physical and energetic planes. It is made up from layers of tissue, from bone to muscle to fascia. Fascia is an incredibly intelligent tissue that runs throughout the entirety of our body. It is responsible for so many functions, from structural integrity to chemical and electrical signalling. When our fascia is restricted it can lead to many issues or resistances building up in the body on a physical and energetic level. Using simple techniques we can learn to assist the release of this kind of tension from ourselves and the bodies of others. On another level our body exists on a vibrational level. We listen to and respond to sound through our ears, but we can all feel the vibration of a bus passing, cat purring or waves crashing on the shore. In every case our body knows how to respond, often before our minds have caught up. By using our voice to sing melodies or hum, we are able to connect to these vibrations and assist in shifting stuck energy, and in some cases tapping into memories and lost emotions. When we combine these techniques, the levels of healing we can achieve are deep, restorative and powerful. If this resonates with you, come and fall back into your body, in a session of movement, music and massage. I look forward to seeing you there. About your host: Anders is a bodywork practitioner and musician that specialises in Wuo Tai (fascia osteo), Thai Yoga Massage and integrated song work. After half a decade of discovery, practice and research he combines the flow of these modalities into a fluid and graceful practice that finds the receiver going on a journey before arriving back home. This practice is highly restorative, allowing the body to fall back into itself, listen to what it has been missing and heal from within. McKillop Room Three.

Wild Food Identification and Foraging Walk

Information will be shared on the importance of foraging safely and sustainably. Tasting experience included. £20 per person. Pre-booking is necessary for this event. To book a space please email Sharon using the link. Meet outside the McKillop Centre. Sharon Kerrigan from Wander and Wonder says: Wander & Wonder was born out of a lifelong passion for wild food and a desire to share the wonders of nature's pantry with others. Growing up, I found joy in traditional foraging activities like berry and nut picking, sparking a curiosity that would eventually lead me on a journey of discovery. As an adult, I realised the vast array of wild foods spanning across our coastal, woodland, and hedgerow areas. It became clear to me that many people were unaware of the nutrient-filled, delicious goods waiting to be harvested right in their own backyards. In 2022, I founded Wander & Wonder with a mission to educate, inspire, and promote a deeper connection with nature's bounty. With a strict emphasis on safety and sustainability, our platform aims to empower individuals to explore the diverse landscapes of Scotland and the UK while learning about the different types of wild foods they can forage.
