Comedy Dining are pleased to bring you a new Fawlty Towers Show. Basil is not happy when the Hotel is booked by Simon Cowell for several Tribute acts, due to the Hotel they originally booked having to close due to a boiler failure. Hear Abba sing like you never had before, be amazed by Tommy Cooper, Ken Dodd will have you tickled pink, Austin Powers is feeling Groovy, Elvis is in the room and Eric Morecombe will Bring you Sunshine. All the above together with Basil, Sybil and Manuel at their very best, this will exercise chuckle muscles you never knew you had!

After a number of successful top-twenty singles in the UK, the band went on to score unprecedented international success with the release of the classic ‘Nightbirds” recording and the title track has now become a standard in the popular music repertoire. This success was repeated with the top-ten hit “Down on the Street and the award-winning video established the band’s personnel of Jill Saward(lead vocs), Bill Sharpe(keys),Keith Winter(gtr), George Anderson(bass) and Roger Odell(drums). With the magic Al Jarreau/Shakatak combination,the group went on to record the track ‘Day by Day’ to further international acclaim. Along with this successful recording career, Shakatak had firmly established themselves as a vibrant live act, combining astute musicianship with a sense of fun that communicated strongly with world-wide audiences. Their performance in Japan’s Budoken Hall won them a Silver Award at the Tokyo International Song Festival-other awards include the “Best Instrumental Album’ for 6 consecutive years-and other live concerts of note have been the East meets the West Border Concert at the time of German re-unificationin 1989 and the open air concert in Cape Town for the Millennium Celebrations 2000 where they played in front of 250,000 people.Shakatak have enjoyed a level of success and career longevity rarely paralleled in contemporary music – but then Shakatak is a particularly unusual group. Because of the nature of their music, their fan base is one that is far reaching while always retaining an ‘underground element’. This paradox sees the band, who are known primarily as serious jazz/funk musicians, enjoying both high ‘cult’ status and instant recognition as a household name.

You will arrive Saturday lunch time where you will be greeted by Basil, Sybil and Manuel who will check you into your rooms. Afternoon Tea will be served at 4.00pm with the help of the Fawlty Towers Team. The Fawlty Towers Show will commence, and you will enjoy a fabulous 3 course meal, followed by a disco. Sunday morning a full English breakfast as Basil, Sybil and Manuel say their goodbyes Fawlty style.

Listen very carefully, I shall say this only once... Allo Allo Dining Invitation is an interactive comedy dinner show where the audience dine in Rene and Ediths umble cafe. It begins in the bar over pre-dinner drinks, where the audience are greeted by the characters. Then, when the time comes, the audience are invited through into the restaurant where they are served a three course meal. The show is half-scripted and half-improvised by the actors, taking place around the audience whilst they eat. It references all the most famous bits from the original show whilst having a narrative all of its own. Poor old Rene, as if things weren't bad enough. The Germans already have him hiding the painting of the fallen Madonna with the big boobies by Van Clump. Michelle of the Resistance still needs his help to get the British airman back to England. And, worst of all, Edith, his wife, still thinks she can sing! So, when Herr Flick of the Gestapo turns up demanding the whereabouts of the painting its testing times for Rene. Even his secret affair with the waitress, Yvette, struggles to raise his spirits! Classic comedy chaos ensues as Rene attempts to keep everyone happy and himself alive. Oh, and keeping a watchful eye over events is a British agent disguised as a policeman who hasn't quite grasped the French language.
