The Vaselines

The Vaselines

20 Dec 2025 - 21 Dec 2025

The Vaselines were formed in Edinburgh in 1987 by singers/guitarists Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee, soon signing to Pastels frontman Stephen Pastel's newly formed 53rd 3rd label. Nirvana's Kurt Cobain regularly cited the Vaselines influence in interviews with the music press and Nirvana would go on to cover the Vaselines' Molly's Lips and Son of a Gun (both later compiled on their Incesticide collection) as well as perform Jesus Doesn't Want Me for a Sunbeam on their legendary MTV Unplugged appearance. Cobain's gospel-spreading no doubt accelerated their rise to cult sainthood, but the Vaselines would have gotten there sooner or later on their own accord. Lewd but nave and abrasive yet tender, the band's shambling, primitivist squall remains a perfect distillation of pop at its most guileless and euphoric.Eugene Kelly later went on to front Captain America / Eugenius, while McKee spent the better part of the decade out of sight, resurfaced in Suckle, and released a solo album in 2006. The Vaselines reunited proper in 2010 to record their second full album Sex With An X which was released on the Seattle label Sub Pop.This was followed by V for Vaselines in 2014. The Ramones inspired album featured many of the same players who helped make 'Sex.....', including Belle and Sebastian's Stevie Jackson, the 1990's Michael McGaughrin and Teenage Fanclub's Francis Macdonald.
Welly

Welly

2 Oct 2025 - 15 Oct 2025

Welly is an extraordinary character with a remarkable literary way of describing himself, his band and society. Whip-smart, playful, funny and terrifyingly smart pop songs to be precise. He then set about finding the perfect vehicle to pedal his wares and so formed a band and delivered a debut album bursting with democratised pop music for people that feel fun in the charts stopped at Love Machine by Girls Aloud.

Deptford Northern Soul Club (DNSC) are childhood friends Will Foot and Lewis Henderson, whose early love of soul developed after discovering Lewis’ Dad’s record collection. DNSC have emerged as the new face of Northern Soul, bringing the movement back into the conversation of modern dance music. With a welcoming and inclusive community and a unique youth culture feel, their nights are not what you’d expect from a typical Northern Soul night and allow people to forge their own experience with the genre. Alongside their popular club nights, Will and Lewis run a modern reissue label, DNSC Records in association with PIAS, enabling soul lovers to experience Northern Soul tracks as they were meant to be heard. “We have never been interested in nostalgia - we love soul music because it’s brilliant. We think it resonates with young people today as it has a timeless universal message - what really matters resides in relationships, not material things.” DNSC Presented by Deptford Northern Soul Club. @

@

14 Aug 2025 - 16 Aug 2025

@ (pronounced “At”) is the folk-pop project of vocalist/guitarist Victoria Rose and multi-instrumentalist Stone Filipczak, who owe their musical bond to the power of text messages. Although the pair initially met years ago, it wasn’t until spring 2020 when they began sending each other music between their respective cities - Rose based in Philadelphia and Filipczak in Baltimore. A few exchanges down the line, Rose sent Filipczak an early recording of a song she’d written called “Star Game” asking him to contribute drums. She didn’t anticipate what he returned to her: “I didn’t like it at first. It felt jarring to hear my music so arranged,” she says. “I almost plotted to end the collaboration.” But it wasn’t long before she came around to the potential of what she and Filipczak could create together. Filipczak’s version of “Star Game” wound up being the second track on @’s debut album Mind Palace Music, initially released in April 2021. Rose admits that she didn’t even think her bandmate would ever want to work with her in a formal capacity, given Filipczak’s niche background sharing bills with artists like Black Pus (Lightning Bolt drummer Brian Chippendale) and Guerrilla Toss. But with his keen, inventive ear for musicianship and Rose’s penchant for confessional lyrics and vibrant melodies, @ grew as an amalgam of their unique musical backgrounds and complementary strengths. In their review of the album, Pitchfork would go on to say “Mind Palace Music is an example of what happens when you take a poignant songwriter who’s careful about her chord progressions and introduce a fellow songwriter who knows the magic of no-frills arrangements.” After the album’s release, @ received well-deserved recognition from Pitchfork, Stereogum, The Fader and many more and became an in-demand live act. Fortunately for fans, @ didn’t wait too long before working on new music. On January 12th, 2024, they will release their new EP Are You There God? It’s Me, @. Diverting from their usual acoustic instrumentation, @ go soul-searching on a sonic side quest into more electronic music. Presented by LNZRT. This is an 18+ event
Led Bib + Marcus Hamblett & Thomas Heather
Baba Yaga's Hut Presents: Led Bib + Marcus Hamblett & Tom Heather Drummer and composer Mark Holub formed Led Bib in 2003 for a university masters project. Made up of his Middlesex university friends, the five piece played its first gig at London’s Klinker Club on February 24th 2004 to ten people in the backroom of a North London pub. Five years later they were performing on primetime TV to millions, having been nominated as a Mercury Prize album of the year. Theirs was a full gas acceleration to that point. Having had their first album met with widespread critical praise in May 2005, they also won the Peter Whittingham Jazz Award in the same year. A second album, Sizewell Tea released in 2007 through iconic London label Babel brought more interest, bigger features, better reviews. There was a notable shift in numbers too, audiences grew as fans cottoned on to a new jazz movement, of which Led Bib was a frontrunner, ditching the noodling and pulling more into rock territory. As they drew references from across the musical spectrum Beefheart and Zorn, Pink Floyd and Miles Davis so too did they draw in a larger swathe of interest, drum and bass heads, jazz aficionados, death metalists and folk, world music and pop fans were, in equal number, their audience. A limited edition live release appeared in 2008, but it was the release of their 4th album Sensible Shoes that saw them experience widespread acclaim following the announcement that they were chosen as an Album of the Year in the 2009 Barclaycard Mercury Prize. The ensuing media storm saw them reach in excess of 20 million people as they performed on TV & Radio sessions including Channel 4 TV News with Jon Snow, playing live on BBC 2 and found a befuddled and unlikely pundit in Holub being asked to explain the likes of “what is jazz?” to the masses of early morning BBC breakfast radio listeners . In 2011 the group released Bring Your Own, their second album for US based Cuneiform Records. Quickly hailed as a stand out success it gained 4 and 5 star reviews across the board. 2014 saw the release of two new albums to celebrate their 10th anniversary, the studio album 'The People in Your Neighbourhood' and the limited edition live vinyl 'The Good Egg', both hailed as modern classics and there best yet. 2017 sees the band release their eagerly anticipated 6th studio album and first with genre defying London label Rare Noise Records, a tour of Europe and the UK will be done in support. Will the next 10 years take them on a similarly unpredictable journey? Whatever happens, it’ll be interesting to watch. Presented by Baba Yaga's Hut. This is an 18+ event.

Tom Rosenthal's show, 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am', tours the UK and Ireland. 3 Sept 2025 - 9 Sept 2025

Food house is a 2-person frenetic internet supergroup composed of Fraxiom and Gupi. The pair bonded while both living in (and despising) Fraxiom's home state of Massachusetts, one the many topics of 'Thos Moser', their first collaboration and smash hit first release on Dylan Brady's Dog Show Records. Their self-titled album is crammed full of pop culture references and obscure inside jokes but resonates much deeper than its surface-level silliness through Gupi's expansive, addictive instrumentals and Fraxiom's earnest and unapologetic lyrical perspective.

La Sécurité

La Sécurité

21 Aug 2025 - 27 Aug 2025

Psych presents: La Sécurité + Guests La Sécurité (Montréal/Tiohtià:ke) is a collective whose art punk is equal parts: jumpy beats, off-kilter arrangements and minimalistic melodic hooks. The music is all about living dangerously, perfectly agreeable to being blasted onto dancefloors; while the lyrics share the ethos of the Riot Grrrl movement, and celebrate the autonomization of women, friends (mean and nice) as well as benevolence. These five scattered, yet creatively concerted entities also propose a wide arsenal of D.I.Y. music videos, visuals, screenprints, patented dance moves, etcetera! Debut album Stay Safe! (June 16th, 2023 via Mothland) showcases songs that are empowering, flush with urgency, but also denote a dash of melancholia. Bill Pearis from BrooklynVegan describes the long-player as “an enticing batch of party-friendly jams shouted in sneering Franglais that recall everything from Le Tigre to Neu! to Kleenex/Liliput (also Montreal’s Duchess Says)”. As they gear up for their forthcoming US tour supporting The Go! Team, La Sécurité tease us with a first single via British imprint Bella Union, dancy-topsy-curvy “Detour” (October 22nd, 2024), also available on the other side of the pond via boutique label Mothland (CA/US). Dan Mangan

Dan Mangan

2 Dec 2025 - 3 Dec 2025

Over the course of 10 years, Dan Mangan has gone from a bearded 20-something troubadour playing coffee shop open mics to earning top ten radio hits, scoring Hollywood films, and winning multiple JUNO Awards. Today, the acclaimed songwriter returns to the rich, earnest, sentimental songwriting that he started with as a bright-eyed singer/songwriter in Vancouver. 'More or Less is about witnessing birth, and in some ways rebirth. 'It's about feeling disconnected from a popular identity and becoming acclimated to a new one. It's about raising kids in a turbulent world. It's about unanswerable questions and kindness and friendship and fear. 'This is my fifth album. I worked with some incredible people who have made many of my favourite albums. It was an important lesson in minimalism, and while their consolidated stamp on the album is vast, it's a credit to their creative generosity that the result feels more like 'me' than ever. 'More sparse. Less meticulous. More kids. Less time. More direct. Less metaphor. More discovery. Less youth. More warmth. Less chaos. 'In between recording sessions, I'd listen to Van Morrison's Astral Weeks and Nick Drake's Pink Moon. I'd think about how sometimes, what seems unfinished at genesis can feel more final when given a moment to settle. 'In my twenties, I boxed my way from the corners of every noisy bar that would let me bring in my guitar. I was stubbornly optimistic. 'When things began to click, it felt like I had the benefit of the doubt from every direction. 'I signed with my dream label. I even won some JUNO Awards and was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize a couple of times. I performed for Will and Kate. 'My girlfriend Kirsten somehow tolerated these years of relentless touring and we got married in 2012. I remember having a lengthy and heated long distance call about our wedding guest-list while laying on an airport floor in Croatia. 'I'd been touring non-stop for six consecutive years and the phone just kept ringing, but I felt my mind and body start to fail. When we learned that we were going to have a baby, I told my manager that I wanted to take a year away from touring. I felt I'd earned it. That one year away from the grind sort of slowly became six. 'We had another kid. We nested. I swept the floor ten thousand times. I scored a film, and then some television shows. 'As the fog of domestic obligations shifted, I began to regain a sense of myself as an artist. But things were different. I wasn't a part of the new generation anymore. I knew how to keep racoons from tearing up my lawn, but not so much about youth culture (and the music industry is, uhhhh all tied up in youth culture). 'Moreover, politics were different. Dystopic forebodings I'd previously written about seemed to be coming true. Had I manifested them? I was re-entering the world but the rules had changed, and I was a different person. 'So I wrote about warmth. I wrote about the feeling of building something when I was young, and the fear of losing it as an adult. I wrote about feeling overwhelmed. I wrote about being in love with someone with whom I spend a lot of time figuring out who is more deserving of a nap. 'I wrote about the power of what goes unsaid. More or less, I wrote about myself. 'The recording process was piecemeal over several years and full of eye-opening experiences. Paul McCartney even wandered into the studio as we were listening back to a take of Lay Low. 'We ended up scrapping what he heard, but well he heard something I wrote. Let that be an omen. 'Drew Brown was a collaborator and mentor, forever changing my understanding of studio recording. His impact on this work is vital. He brought Joey Waronker, Jason Falkner and Darrell Thorp into the fold, whose collective creativity and instincts helped discover nuances in the songs I could never have dreamed of. 'Two songs were recorded with Simone Felice who introduced me to Ryan Hewitt and Matt Johnson. Along with my longtime pals Gordon Grdina and John Walsh, this team found a vibrant subtlety that helped me rethink my identity as a singer. I cannot thank them enough. 'Everyone who touched this album did so with wholehearted dedication and love. 'I am grateful that they would trust this work and approach it with such care and ownership. 'I am ready to share these songs. 'I don't know where the gig is. I don't know if it's cool. But I still get lost in it, and I've got more to lose.' Dan Mangan, August 2018
Bonnie Dobson & The Hanging Stars

Bonnie Dobson & The Hanging Stars

10 Jul 2025 - 14 Sept 2025

The Canadian folk singer renowned for her purity of voice and composer of the ever-fresh ’Morning Dew’; once at the heart of Greenwich Village heyday when she sang at Gerdes Folk City with the likes of Paul Simon, and Bob Dylan. The UK’s premier purveyors of Cosmic Americana riding a wave of creativity and acclaim, with two successive classic albums Hollow Heart and On A Golden Shore. The spry octogenarian and the psychedelic cowboys proved a match ripe to be made. Since Bonnie’s reemergence, at Jarvis Cocker’s Meltdown, she’d been interacting with a host of London musicians, but when the Stars came onto her horizon she sensed she’d found the perfect accompanists for her new compositions. With no concrete plan they worked up a few songs, then went into Sean Read’s Famous Times to see what might happen. What might happen is now a forthcoming album with some new titles, notably the autobiographical ‘Dreams’ giving the lie to ‘Morning Dew’s finality, and opening up the future that former song closed down, an older favourite ‘Stay With Me Tonight’, and a revisit to Dino Valenti’s 60s anthem ‘Get Together’. Their album “Dreams” will be released on 11th July 2025 on Loose Music. This is an 14+ event

Stella Rose

Stella Rose

17 Jul 2025 - 17 Jul 2025

"Stella Rose Fuels Superstitions with New Single Hollybaby” - FLOOD MAGAZINE “Ms. 45,” an operatic bit of synthpop that takes its title from Abel Ferrara’s 1981 cult classic horror-thriller." - BROOKLYN VEGAN "Stella Rose unveils one of her most enthralling songs to date-a powerful, smoldering track that oozes swagger." - POST PUNK Stella Rose is excited to reveal her new EP, Hollybaby, out now via KRO Records. The New York dark pop artist’s latest body of work also comes alongside an official music video for ‘Beautiful Twentysomethings’, which was self-directed by Stella Rose. Speaking of the new EP, Stella Rose says: “The best kept secret between after hour bars. People that you’ve been before, fueling superstitions. The sedation in seduction, the day the music died.” Stella Rose recently arrived in London for a sold-out solo live performance at The Shacklewell Arms as part of her UK/European tour, which also included a sold-out night in Paris. Her new EP Hollybaby follows the release of her acclaimed 2023 debut album, Eyes of Glass. The Hollybaby EP was recorded alongside producer Yves Rothman. It invites listeners into deeper realms of Stella Rose’s dark and otherworldly lyrical poetry, emboldened with gritty soundscapes and introspective ruminations. The title track sets the ominous tone from the offset, with brooding guitars and hauntingly delivered vocals. ‘MS.45’ continues in a similar vein with its fiery metaphorical imagery, while ‘Beautiful Twentysomethings’, as Stella Rose describes, offers “a portrait of youth and the nativities of beauty in chaotic places”. ‘Drugstore Romeo’ concludes the EP with a contrast in sound, showcasing Stella Rose’s expansive vocal range with soaring vocal melodies which pair pensively with lyrics surrounding drug addiction on the streets of NYC. The writing process saw Stella Rose intentionally drift from familiarity. Not only did she shift from her native New York to Los Angeles whilst recording, she also adopted a more urgent style of writing. Each day reached 100+ degrees as Hollybaby came together during the hottest week of the summer in LA. Both Stella Rose and her producer Yves fed off that uncomfortable heat in the studio, which contributed heavily towards the EP’s visceral identity. The finishing touches were later added back in New York, culminating in Stella Rose’s loudest, rawest and arguably most entrancing material to date.” Stella Rose now finds herself firmly among the buzzy circles of New York’s underground scene, having recently performed at the already notorious party The Hancock in Brooklyn, frequented by the likes of The Dare and Pretty Sick. She is also making a serious footprint in the fashion world, gracing the covers of publications such as POP, W Mag and Lampoon Magazine. In addition to earning praise for her work from outlets including Rolling Stone UK, Brooklyn Vegan, Paper, Clash, CREEM, and NME, she’s been embraced by like-minded artists, appearing in Hedi Slimane’s Dairies, the Buffalo Hotel Chelsea Issue 16 photographed by Richard Kern, and walking in the Enfants Riches Deprims show during Paris Fashion Week. Green Note Presents... The Little Unsaid
The Little Unsaid’s live shows are renowned for audience connection, catharsis and celebration in the face of things - which have drawn audiences to the band’s last three sold out UK tours. Lyrics that chart our deepest experiences and matters of the heart which we all share, and music with the art of songwriting at its core that elevates and unites us. After 10 years of touring and making records that take in alt.folk, post-rock and electronica, The London/Aarhus-based four-piece have spent a year and a half away from recording / touring in order to re-invent and re-invigorate their process. Now - backed by loyal fan support - The Little Unsaid have made their most expansive yet deeply personal record to date, finding their own connection again via almost wholly improvised sessions; music fuelled by a commitment to the moment in an ephemeral and chaotic world, trusting in the honesty and excitement of that raw first take, and collective feeling as artists with the world coming at them. The Little Unsaid plan to renew and celebrate that feeling of connection with live audiences with energised shows throughout the UK in 2025. Presented by Green Note. This is an 18+ event

The Bug Club

The Bug Club

25 Jul 2025 - 19 Dec 2025

The Bug Club's name does a good job of introducing the band and their music: a tight-knit, collaborative effort focussed on telling tales of the everyday that we often take for granted, shot through with humour and riffs-a-plenty. Comprising the creative trio of Sam Willmett (guitar/vocals), Tilly Harris (bass/vocals) & Dan Matthew (drums), The Bug Club formed in 2016 in the little-known rock n' roll hotbed that is Caldicot, Monmouthshire. The band were signed by Bingo Records in Autumn 2020, and released their first single 'We Don't Need Room For Lovin'' in Feb 2021. EPs Launching Moondream One and Pure Particles followed, along with standalone releases Intelectuals and Two Beauties. Initially championed by BBC 6 Music's Marc Riley, along with Adam Walton and Huw Stephens on Radio Cymru, The Bug Club have since earned the support of DJs, fellow artists and press worldwide. Sold-out tours across the UK and in Europe paved the way for a 2023 which will see the band play further afield to an ever-growing loyal fanbase, who can look forward to a number of new releases from the trio this year. Three groovy peas in a far out pod!

Scott Lavene

Scott Lavene

25 Sept 2025 - 27 Jan 2026

In support of his upcoming single, My Kinda Girl, Scott Lavene has announced an 11 date UK tour throughout September. My Kinda Girl is the third in a series of singles put out this year that will pave the way for his forthcoming debut album in 2019. Born in Essex, Scott Lavene was raised on power ballads, punk and swearing. In bands since his teens, Scott travelled about, scratching out a living with deadbeat jobs trying to find something to cling to. After couple of years in France and a brief stint in New York, including a playing at the infamous CBGB's Scott returned to London and came close to a major label deal with his sordid songs. Instead Scott disappeared on a rusty old boat, a floating shed, for five years. Hiding from the world. Broke and bemused. Solitude and lonely debauchery. After five years of this Scott went kaput, so spent some time in a house for the bewildered where he emerged full of life and songs. A self released album in a band called Big Top Heartbreak led to being signed to Funnel Music as a solo artist. The first single, 'It's All Gonna Blow' has been played by Steve Lamacq on his BBC 6Music show and Scott had a residency at the Brighton Fringe as well as a sell out show at Crofters Rights in Bristol for the 7inch vinyl release show.

Powerplant

Powerplant

15 Jul 2025 - 15 Jul 2025

Powerplant (UA/UK) occurs somewhere in the shadows of synth and post-punk that produces material both ‘sad & happy’, but always dark in both the music and looks. The kind of dark you get at about 9:30pm on a Summer day. Once a solitary bedroom project of Ukrainian Theo Zhykharyev, that found its footing on the Internet and grew meat around the bone, becoming a full animated live band of London’s best, when joined by members of UK hardcore scene and experimental sound artists. Powerplant’s sound is ever evolving, stretching from early lo-fi garage-punk recordings, straight synth-punk ‘People in the Sun’ LP to post-punk ‘A Spine / Evidence’ EP and this year’s unexpected hour long dungeon synth release ‘Stump Soup’. So, come smell the synthesisers sizzle, hear fast precise drums - 100% live, jumpy giddy bass and a little guitar to go with unintelligible, yet mesmerising oral performance! This could be just your kind of thing! And all, all this to walk with our heads high and hearts light. Or at least try. To better days! Presented by LNZRT. This is an 18+ event
