Little Liverpool is a special gallery designed for the little ones with free events and activities. Museum of Liverpool can be reached easily by car and bus. The Pier Head is on the waterfront close to Liverpool city centre and the Liverpool One complex. Parking is available in the Liverpool ONE complex opposite the entrance to the Albert Dock. Beyond the label: fragments through time - the secret lives of archaeological ceramics
Pottery fragments are some of the most common finds in archaeology and the excavations from the Manchester docks are no exception. Piece together the history of these objects from their manufacture to their ill-fated journey to the docks, and how some of them have been reimagined into contemporary art in National Museums Liverpool's smallest venue, the Hartley Hut. Elsa Price, Lead Curator of Archaeology, uncovers the stories shards of pottery can tell us about life in the past. Please note, tickets will be released 60 days in advance of the session date.
