From the man who brought you his Liminal tour last year... (and Subliminal the year before - well, of course you don't remember!)... Here is the Post-liminal event! The usual mix of audience interaction, a couple of highlights from the Liminal tour, some random meanderings especially concocted for Portaferry and a little taste of what's to come in the 2023 Delamerium tour. This event is part of Portico's 2022 Comedy Arts Festival supported by Ards and North Down Borough Council and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

Karen Torley of Banyan Theatre developed together with Derry-based dancer Zoe Ramsay a new childrens theatre work, The Fisherman and the Mermaid, combining puppetry, dance, music and storytelling for audiences aged 411. The Story When a lonely Fisherman encounters a Mermaid, he is whisked away on a magical journey beneath the waves. However, this is more than just an underwater adventure; the Fisherman must discover the truth behind the ocean's tears and find out why the sea has become so sad. This environmental tale is brought to life through a rich blend of: Puppetry: Handcrafted characters that breathe life into the story. A Fisherman, a Mermaid and a sassy seagull lead the story along with Shadow puppets and object Theatre Dance & Movement: Capturing the fluid beauty of the sea. Original Music: An immersive soundscape that guides the journey. Live Storytelling: Engaging the imagination with our original tale. This year The Illegals celebrate 25 years as one of the best live bands around with their classic-rock tribute show to the music of Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. This entertaining three-hours of vocal harmony, superb musicianship, unforgettable songs and great fun is served up by a band at the top of its game.
