Soda Blonde

Soda Blonde

1 May 2025 - 7 May 2025

Dublin’s own Soda Blonde are set to bring their electrifying live show back to their hometown with a headline performance at Vicar St on December 7th. This highly anticipated concert will cap off a remarkable year for the band, following the success of their critically acclaimed second studio album, Dream Big. In addition to the Dublin date, Soda Blonde has just announced three UK shows leading up to Vicar St: London on December 3rd, Leeds on December 4th, and Glasgow on December 5th. These performances offer fans in the UK a chance to experience the band live before their grand finale in Dublin. Since their formation in 2019, Soda Blonde—comprised of Faye O’Rourke (vocals), Adam O’Regan (guitar), Dylan Lynch (drums), and Donagh Seaver-O’Leary (bass)—has carved out a distinct space in the music world with their self-produced sound, introspective lyrics, and arresting visuals. Their sophomore album Dream Big has not only solidified their reputation but also propelled them into new creative territories. The album, a bold statement of intent, has resonated deeply with fans and critics alike, earning nominations for Album of the Yearand Song of the Year (“Bad Machine”) at the Choice Music Prize. The band’s journey in 2024 has been nothing short of extraordinary. January saw them embark on their first sold-out EU tour, a milestone that showcased their growing international appeal. In March, Soda Blonde made headlines by withdrawing from their scheduled performance at SXSW, taking a principled stand against the festival’s association with the U.S. military. This decision was a catalyst for the creation of the visually striking and thought-provoking music video for “Why Die For Danzig,” which offers a biting commentary on society’s complicity in the war machine. However, the true highlight of the year came in July, when Soda Blonde performed a monumental sold-out show at Dublin’s National Concert Hall. Teaming up with the Irish National Symphony Orchestra, the band presented orchestral arrangements of Dream Big, blending the cinematic grandeur of a full orchestra with their signature sound. The evening was recorded and will soon be released as both a concert film and a live album, allowing fans to relive this unforgettable experience. Brudenell Presents... This is a 14+ event

Having played almost four thousand gigs in twenty four countries, releasing countless books and records along the way, Attila's Collected Works has just been published by Cherry Red Books, the book arm of the celebrated independent record label which released his early 80s albums and his 2015 autobiography Arguments Yard. 'Heart On My Sleeve' brings together Attila's collected poems and lyrics, celebrating the fortieth anniversary of his first appearance and a lifetime doing what he loves. Recent poems written during the first lockdown are included too. Hidden Mothers & Pleiades (matinee Show)
bUTTONpUSHER presents.... HIDDEN MOTHERS Following the release of their emotionally wrought debut single, 'The Longest Journey Yet' in mid-2019, Hidden Mothers have wasted no time establishing themselves on the UK scene, landing main support slots with international bands such as Planes Mistaken For Stars, Inter Arma, Coilguns and Yautja within a few months of that first release. Despite all that happened at the start of 2020, the band persevered and released their debut self-titled EP in September of that year to rave reviews that compared them to the likes of Oathbreaker, Envy, Converge, Thrice and Amenra. Since the lifting of restrictions for live music events in the UK, Hidden Mothers have had a string of successful shows (including support slots with big names such as Wiegedood, Yob, Portrayal Of Guilt and Employed To Serve) and have honed their live show considerably on the back of this work. The band have since gone on to share stages with Pagan, Blanket, Hawthorne Heights, As Everything Unfolds and more, affirming a status worthy of a place among the highest ranks of the global scene, with their 2023 return to performing after a brief hiatus marked by a sell-out show in their hometown of Manchester. While Albertine Sarges maintains a sense of comedy in her approach, her music is also a platform to explore the self and contribute to broader societal discourse.
Girls of the Internet

Girls of the Internet

8 May 2025 - 27 Sept 2025

Girls of the Internet’s manifesto is clear; to create dance music that calls back to how it was made at its inception, but with the knowledge and experience of the past 50 years of the genre. Joining the dots that have not been joined for a long time, the collective takes on people of all sexualities, gender expressions and body types. “We are very proud to bring this music back to its inclusive roots. Let’s forget the disjointed and cliquey scene we live in, and bring back what once united us.” Crafting songs with real musicians, the group’s name was inspired by Ladies of the 80’s by Eighties Ladies, the album from a girl group produced by Roy Ayers, “I just loved the whole concept, and I wanted to do the same thing with Girls of the Internet,” explains the group’s founding member Tom Kerridge. “I wanted a name that played with gender, and people’s subconscious misogyny. Girls of the Internet is abstract – it means nothing, and it means everything.”
