Nottingham Racecourse

Although horseracing has been going on in Nottingham since the 17th century, Nottingham Racecourse was constructed in Colwick Park in 1892. It hosted National Hunt races until the mid-1990s, since which time it has held flat races only. Its two most notable races are the Kilvington Stakes and the Further Flight Stakes. Like most racecourses, Nottingham offers a wide variety of corporate and private hospitality packages. The Sherwoods Restaurant offers fine dining with a view of the course. The nearest major transport hub is Nottingham station, two miles away. Road access is via the A60, A612, A453 and A52. East Midlands Airport is 18 miles to the south-west, on the A453.
