Former Spandau Ballet frontman and successful solo artist. Born in Islington, Tony Hadley was greatly inspired by the music of Frank Sinatra. When he was 17 years old, Hadley not only saw Ol’ Blue Eyes perform at London’s Royal Albert Hall, but also managed to get backstage and shake his hand. Not long after, Hadley co-founded and became the lead vocalist of Spandau Ballet. The members of the New Romantic band had all gone to school together. Spandau Ballet rose to prominence throughout the ’80s, having released eight top 10 UK albums and numerous top 10 singles including To Cut A Long Story Short, True, Gold, Only When You Leave and Through The Barricade.

One of music’s true originals, Van Morrison’s unique and inspirational musical legacy is rooted in post-war Belfast. Born in 1945 Van heard his Shipyard worker father’s collection of blues, country and gospel early in life. Feeding off musical greats such as Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, Muddy Waters, Mahalia Jackson and Leadbelly he was a travelling musician at 13 and singing, playing guitar and sax, in several bands, before forming Them in 1964. Van Morrison continued to advance on his status as a game- changing artist through the 90s and into the 21st century. Awards and accolades - a knighthood, a Brit, an OBE, an Ivor Novello, 6 Grammys, honourary doctorates from Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Ulster, entry into The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and the French Ordres Des Artes Et Des Lettres - attested to the international reach of Van’s musical art. With one of the most revered catalogues in music history and his unparalleled talents as composer, singer and performer Morrison’s past achievements loom large. But, as throughout his extraordinary career, how that past informs his future achievements and still stirs excitement and keen anticipation.

London-based street dance crew Diversity got their start in 2007. Founded by choreographer Ashley Banjo and his younger brother Jordan, they were initially known as Swift Moves Juniors. Specialising in everything from popping and breakdance to acrobatics, the troupe quickly grew in number and even added another set of brothers – Sam and Mitchell Craske. The troupe rose to fame in 2009 when they won the third series of Britain’s Got Talent. By that time they were a very diverse group of people who not only ranged in age between 12 and 25 years old, but also in everything from educational pursuits to race and height, so the name Diversity was a natural fit.
