The Undertones emerged from Derry in 1976, the result of five friends learning how to play basic rock and roll. Practicing in their bedrooms eventually led to the band recording ‘Teenage Kicks’ in 1978 on Terri Hooley's Good Vibrations label in Belfast. The legendary DJ John Peel received a copy and liked it so much he played it twice in a row on his radio show.

In October 1980 three musicians took to the stage in their hometown of Bradford to play a gig under the name New Model Army. Led by frontman and songwriter Justin Sullivan, this was the start of a remarkable journey which, 40 years on, has seen New Model Army develop a fervent worldwide fanbase and reach multiple milestones of both creative and commercial success. Members have changed over the years and musical styles have evolved but at the heart of the band Justin has remained, along with a distinct and sincere belief in the power of music to inspire and effect change on a personal and political scale, both locally and globally.

The Tumbling Paddies are a young, six-piece Irish band from County Fermanagh, known for their energetic live shows and unique blend of country, folk, traditional Irish (trad), and modern pop music.

Texan princes of pop-punk Hailing from Wichita Falls, Texas, Bowling For Soup came together in the early ’90s. Buddies from school and local bands, they went through several iterations and names – including Folkadots, Slaw and Terminal Seasons – before landing on the original line-up of Jaret Reddick, Chris Burney, Erik Chandler and Gary Wiseman. Inspired by a bit on Steve Martin’s A Wild And Crazy Guy comedy album, they also decided to be called Bowling For Soup.

Peter Hook first revisited the seminal Joy Division album Unknown Pleasures back in May 2010 for a commemorative charity concert and has followed it each year by performing subsequent albums from the repertoire of his bands, Joy Division and New Order. Peter Hook & The Light have since moved through each of those albums, culminating in the Factory Records Substance compilations, and recently celebrated over four decades of the continuing influence of Joy Division and Ian Curtis with the Joy Division: A Celebration concerts where both of the band’s albums were played in full.

British rapper and spoken word artist Kae Tempest has announced that they will be performing in Norwich this December following shows across the globe. Tempest is known for their narrative poem ‘Brand New Ancients’, which saw them perform a sell-out run in New York and the UK as well as their most recent poetry collection ‘Hold Your Own’. Their debut solo album, ‘Everybody Down’ was released in 2014, with their debut novel ‘The Bricks that Built the House’ coming out earlier this year. Perky Scousers known for indie rock hits 'Let's Dance to Joy Division' and 'Moving To New York'.

Originally formed in 1992 from the ashes of The La’s and Shack, Cast released four albums and had ten top 10 singles before disbanding in 2001. As one of the most traditional guitar bands to emerge during the Brit-pop era of the mid-'90s, Cast have carved out a sound that was heavily indebted to the British Invasion of the early '60s, yet it was infused with a mystical, pseudo-hippie lyrical sensibility, which lead singer John Power expanded upon in all of his interviews. What really made Cast into a success was Power's gift for simple, classic pop hooks, as demonstrated on the hit singles "Fine Time," "Alright," and "Walkaway." Cast became a very, very popular band within Britain following the success of Oasis and Blur. Labelled ‘The Who of the 90’s’, Noel Gallagher once described watching Cast play live as “a religious experience.”
