O2 Academy Glasgow

The Art Deco majesty of the O2 Academy Glasgow building is a legacy of its former life as the New Bedford Cinema, built in 1932 after the original Bedford Cinema burned down. After spending decades as a Mecca bingo hall, a £3m refurbishment in 2002 converted it into a music venue, the Carling Academy, before it assumed its current name as part of O2's sponsorship deal. It now hosts major touring acts -- The Killers sold it out in a record three minutes, and James Brown played his last UK show here -- and becomes a comedy club during the Glasgow Comedy Festival. Glasgow Central Station is a short step across the river, and the nearest Subway is Bridge Street. Eglinton Street bus stops are serviced by routes 3, 4, 4A, 4B, 7B, 29, 38, 38A, 38B, 38C, 38E, 57 and 57A.

Earl Sweatshirt

Earl Sweatshirt

25 Aug 2026 - 3 Sept 2026

Known for a creatively languid style that has swung lyrically from highly personal alt-rap to morbid horrorcore, Earl Sweatshirt helped launch Odd Future into hip-hop prominence around the turn of the 2010s and has since remained among the most unique rapper/producers around. Since making his solo debut with the acclaimed mixtape Earl (2010), his first two albums, Doris (2013) and the seriously (and descriptively) titled I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside (2015), have placed in the upper reaches of the Billboard 200 chart. By the time he released his third album, Some Rap Songs (2018), Earl had either produced or appeared on tracks by most of the Odd Future affiliates, including Tyler, The Creator and Frank Ocean, as well as similarly left-field artists such as Danny Brown and Denmark Vessey. His fourth album, the tightly focused Sick!, arrived in January 2022, and the drill-influenced single "Making the Band (Danity Kane)" surfaced in 2023.
Slayyyter

Slayyyter

30 Oct 2026 - 5 Nov 2026

Hollywood has told countless stories, but it’s never told a story quite like this. It opens back in Missouri where a college dropout obsessed with 90s and 00s pop divided her time between sweeping hair off the floor of a local salon and crafting music in a closet at her mom’s house. Buoyed by social media savvy, a clever sense of humour and fire hooks, Slayyyter made her way to Los Angeles. In a short spell, the mild-mannered Midwest-born pixie managed to transform into an erotic electronic pop femme fatale. Now, it sounds like she’s stalking the Hollywood Hills with a combination of razor-sharp song-craft, inventive underground production and cheeky lyrics, all while dripping in eighties-inspired afterparty-ready fashion wild enough to make Sharon Stone blush. In 2019, Slayyyter strutted to the forefront of popular culture without apology. Powered up by ‘Daddy AF’ and ‘Mine’, her self-titled debut mixtape generated over 100 million streams. Prior to most recently supporting Tove Lo on her Dirt Femme tour, Slayyyter sold out her first headline tour and maintained her momentum with the critically acclaimed full-length debut, Troubled Paradise.

Metric

Metric

11 Sept 2026 - 13 Sept 2026

Metric were founded in 1998, when vocalist/keyboardist Emily Haines met British-born guitarist James Shaw in Toronto. Discovering they shared similar tastes in music, the duo set out to work together and began writing music which quickly became Metric’s debut EP Mainstream. Following the project’s release, the duo moved to Brooklyn, New York before being sent by their label to work with London-based producer Stephen Hague. Within months, the band had completed what they believed would be their debut album. Label troubles, however, meant that the album was pushed to the backburner and by the time the label was ready to give the album the attention it deserved, the band (who had since added drummer Joules Scott-Key and bassist Joshua Winstead to their ranks) decided it was no longer representative of their sound. In 2003, Metric finally released their first feature length project in Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?. The album was a huge critical and commercial success, projecting the band to the fore of early 2000’s rock. Since their debut, Metric have released 7 more albums, most recently this year’s Formentera, their most far-reaching and grand album yet. Written through the pandemic, the album’s warring emotions and crushing instrumentation perfectly capture the unrest and uncertainty of the era; and show once more why Metric continue to dominate hearts and minds across the world.

Glasvegas are a band who on their own terms are forging an undeniable legacy in terms of how many up-and-coming Scottish bands and even some established ones (who shall remain nameless) have been influenced by Glasvegas…especially Allan’s emotive Glaswegian vocal delivery. Recording has already taken place in their native Glasgow, the Swedish capital Stockholm and Los Angeles and the new album release will ensure that the Glasvegas legacy continues…

Kodaline

Kodaline

12 Dec 2026 - 16 Dec 2026

‘One Day At A Time’ is Kodaline's fourth album, and adds a new chapter to a career that has already encompassed three #1 albums in Ireland, two Top 5 albums in the UK, and more than a billion streams at Spotify. Kodaline approached the album with a streamlined process that took them back to their roots. The majority of the sessions revolved around the four band members alone in their modest recording space in Dublin, with bassist Jason Boland leading the production side of things. The band’s primary objective was to focus on the emotion that has informed many Kodaline fan favourites. As we’ve seen from the two recent singles, they’re playing to their strengths: insistent melodies and captivating hooks exploring stories that are revealing, unguarded and immediately relatable. “The main thing this time was to capture those emotions through everything,” says frontman Steve Garrigan. “We also wanted to use a lot of harmonies and play to our strengths.” In 2019, Kodaline played some of the biggest shows of their career. At home in Dublin they sold-out two huge outdoor shows at St. Anne’s Park, while a ten-date UK tour culminated with a packed show in London. Further afield, they hit festivals including Lollapalooza, Benicàssim and Open’er before becoming the first Irish band to headline the massive NH7 Weekender in Pune, India. Their extensive touring throughout Asia also included a headline set at Monsoon Music Festival in Vietnam plus dates in China, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and Singapore.

Their latest single ‘Heart Attack’ marked their first new music since 2019, and the debut release in their latest incarnation with Ivor Novello winning composer and producer Benjamin John Power, aka Blanck Mass, who joins the band as a full time member. With its pulsating electronic intensity, sweeping 80’s inspired synths and epic, driving drum pads, ‘Heart Attack’ is the perfect introduction to Editors’ new era, whilst also fitting seamlessly into the band’s songbook; its gothic sonics and Tom Smith’s brooding vocals making it instantly recognisable. “Heart Attack is a song of obsession, about losing yourself in someone, a love song, a morbid love song,” says Smith. Having previously collaborated with Editors, bringing additional production to their sixth album, Violence, Benjamin John Power joins Smith, Justin Lockey, Elliott Williams, Russell Leetch and Ed Lay and ushers in another bold chapter for a band who have never stood still creatively. A band that has refused to stay still over the course of their 17 year career, ‘Heart Attack’ kicks off the next era of one of the UK’s most intriguing and enduring musical success stories. With 'grayout' being the first step on making a new impression on the scene including the works of producer Buster Odeholm (who is also the drummer of the band) and music video director Lucas Englund (Parkway Drive, Architects) thrown brings their A to the game from day one and we're all here for it. Vocalist Marcus Lundqvist is joined by Johan Liljeblad and Andreas Malm on guitars, and drummer Buster Odeholm (Vildhjarta/Humanity's Last Breath) as thrown aim to spread their message of self-loathing through their mix of gut-punching Metalcore and anger-inciting Hardcore. With ambition already pushing the band to seek out touring opportunities throughout 2022, it'll be no time before thrown have you singing a long and bursting all your energy in the pit at a live show.

Ezra Collective

Ezra Collective

26 Feb 2027 - 21 Mar 2027

Before the pandemic struck, Ezra Collective were on fire. A world tour awaited them following years of hard graft, the critically acclaimed release of their 2019 debut album You Can’t Steal My Joy, and an explosive Glastonbury performance that brought UK jazz to unseen heights. “Then a big pause button was pressed,” says Femi Koleoso, the drummer and band leader. Ezra had been touring relentlessly for more than half-a-decade, stopping only occasionally to record. “The pandemic was how we entered this transition phase,” he continues. Ezra Collective’s new era, a venture in discovered maturity and raised stakes, will be defined by the anticipated second album. Where I’m Meant To Be is a thumping celebration of life, an affirming elevation in the Ezra Collective’s winding hybrid sound and refined collective character. The songs marry cool confidence with bright energy. Full of call-and-response conversations between their ensemble parts, a natural product of years improvising together on-stage, the album-which also features Sampa The Great, Kojey Radical, Emile Sande and Nao - will light up sweaty dance floors and soundtrack summer dinners in equal measure.
