O2 Academy Glasgow

The Art Deco majesty of the O2 Academy Glasgow building is a legacy of its former life as the New Bedford Cinema, built in 1932 after the original Bedford Cinema burned down. After spending decades as a Mecca bingo hall, a £3m refurbishment in 2002 converted it into a music venue, the Carling Academy, before it assumed its current name as part of O2's sponsorship deal. It now hosts major touring acts -- The Killers sold it out in a record three minutes, and James Brown played his last UK show here -- and becomes a comedy club during the Glasgow Comedy Festival. Glasgow Central Station is a short step across the river, and the nearest Subway is Bridge Street. Eglinton Street bus stops are serviced by routes 3, 4, 4A, 4B, 7B, 29, 38, 38A, 38B, 38C, 38E, 57 and 57A.

Earl Sweatshirt

Earl Sweatshirt

25 Aug 2026 - 3 Sept 2026

Known for a creatively languid style that has swung lyrically from highly personal alt-rap to morbid horrorcore, Earl Sweatshirt helped launch Odd Future into hip-hop prominence around the turn of the 2010s and has since remained among the most unique rapper/producers around. Since making his solo debut with the acclaimed mixtape Earl (2010), his first two albums, Doris (2013) and the seriously (and descriptively) titled I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside (2015), have placed in the upper reaches of the Billboard 200 chart. By the time he released his third album, Some Rap Songs (2018), Earl had either produced or appeared on tracks by most of the Odd Future affiliates, including Tyler, The Creator and Frank Ocean, as well as similarly left-field artists such as Danny Brown and Denmark Vessey. His fourth album, the tightly focused Sick!, arrived in January 2022, and the drill-influenced single "Making the Band (Danity Kane)" surfaced in 2023.
Slayyyter

Slayyyter

Hollywood has told countless stories, but it’s never told a story quite like this. It opens back in Missouri where a college dropout obsessed with 90s and 00s pop divided her time between sweeping hair off the floor of a local salon and crafting music in a closet at her mom’s house. Buoyed by social media savvy, a clever sense of humour and fire hooks, Slayyyter made her way to Los Angeles. In a short spell, the mild-mannered Midwest-born pixie managed to transform into an erotic electronic pop femme fatale. Now, it sounds like she’s stalking the Hollywood Hills with a combination of razor-sharp song-craft, inventive underground production and cheeky lyrics, all while dripping in eighties-inspired afterparty-ready fashion wild enough to make Sharon Stone blush. In 2019, Slayyyter strutted to the forefront of popular culture without apology. Powered up by ‘Daddy AF’ and ‘Mine’, her self-titled debut mixtape generated over 100 million streams. Prior to most recently supporting Tove Lo on her Dirt Femme tour, Slayyyter sold out her first headline tour and maintained her momentum with the critically acclaimed full-length debut, Troubled Paradise.

Metric

Metric

11 Sept 2026 - 13 Sept 2026

Metric were founded in 1998, when vocalist/keyboardist Emily Haines met British-born guitarist James Shaw in Toronto. Discovering they shared similar tastes in music, the duo set out to work together and began writing music which quickly became Metric’s debut EP Mainstream. Following the project’s release, the duo moved to Brooklyn, New York before being sent by their label to work with London-based producer Stephen Hague. Within months, the band had completed what they believed would be their debut album. Label troubles, however, meant that the album was pushed to the backburner and by the time the label was ready to give the album the attention it deserved, the band (who had since added drummer Joules Scott-Key and bassist Joshua Winstead to their ranks) decided it was no longer representative of their sound. In 2003, Metric finally released their first feature length project in Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?. The album was a huge critical and commercial success, projecting the band to the fore of early 2000’s rock. Since their debut, Metric have released 7 more albums, most recently this year’s Formentera, their most far-reaching and grand album yet. Written through the pandemic, the album’s warring emotions and crushing instrumentation perfectly capture the unrest and uncertainty of the era; and show once more why Metric continue to dominate hearts and minds across the world.

‘One Day At A Time’ is Kodaline's fourth album, and adds a new chapter to a career that has already encompassed three #1 albums in Ireland, two Top 5 albums in the UK, and more than a billion streams at Spotify. Kodaline approached the album with a streamlined process that took them back to their roots. The majority of the sessions revolved around the four band members alone in their modest recording space in Dublin, with bassist Jason Boland leading the production side of things. The band’s primary objective was to focus on the emotion that has informed many Kodaline fan favourites. As we’ve seen from the two recent singles, they’re playing to their strengths: insistent melodies and captivating hooks exploring stories that are revealing, unguarded and immediately relatable. “The main thing this time was to capture those emotions through everything,” says frontman Steve Garrigan. “We also wanted to use a lot of harmonies and play to our strengths.” In 2019, Kodaline played some of the biggest shows of their career. At home in Dublin they sold-out two huge outdoor shows at St. Anne’s Park, while a ten-date UK tour culminated with a packed show in London. Further afield, they hit festivals including Lollapalooza, Benicàssim and Open’er before becoming the first Irish band to headline the massive NH7 Weekender in Pune, India. Their extensive touring throughout Asia also included a headline set at Monsoon Music Festival in Vietnam plus dates in China, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and Singapore.

May I divulge a secret? I have purchased a large metal ring. I will use it to keep all of the keys to the city that are given to me by the mayors I impress with my showmanship. Live comedy is straight up amazing because people gather to watch it in a spectacular setting rather than ogling an evil phone screen in some horrid grey dank little corner. Edinburgh Comedy Award winner, Taskmaster champion & surrealist genius Sam Campbell is an Australian comedian who shot to international acclaim after winning the Barry Award for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (2018) and the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show (2022). He conquered Channel 4’s Taskmaster Series 16 in 2023 and has appeared on Would I Lie to You?, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Guessable, The Russell Howard Hour, Live at the Moth Club, Friday Night Live, Bloods, Fisk, QI and various other comedy panel and sketch shows. He’s also a writer-performer on his Channel 4’s blap "Get Real Dude" and the cult series "Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared". His debut Channel 4 series "Make That Movie!" will be released in 2026. He is also the co-host of the podcast "Lucy & Sam’s Perfect Brains" with Lucy Beaumont.
