O2 Academy Glasgow

The Art Deco majesty of the O2 Academy Glasgow building is a legacy of its former life as the New Bedford Cinema, built in 1932 after the original Bedford Cinema burned down. After spending decades as a Mecca bingo hall, a £3m refurbishment in 2002 converted it into a music venue, the Carling Academy, before it assumed its current name as part of O2's sponsorship deal. It now hosts major touring acts -- The Killers sold it out in a record three minutes, and James Brown played his last UK show here -- and becomes a comedy club during the Glasgow Comedy Festival. Glasgow Central Station is a short step across the river, and the nearest Subway is Bridge Street. Eglinton Street bus stops are serviced by routes 3, 4, 4A, 4B, 7B, 29, 38, 38A, 38B, 38C, 38E, 57 and 57A.

The Complete Stone Roses are now one of the UK’s most well-known, most seen and most successful tribute bands. Selling out venues across the UK and Ireland regularly, they have helped to carry on the music of one of the UK’s most influential bands - The Stone Roses. The Stone Roses played a pivotal role in the history of the UK’s indie music scene. Famous hits like Fools Gold, I Am The Resurrection and I Wanna Be Adored are as recognisable now as were the heyday of Madchester and the Hacienda, the cultural icons from which the original band were born. The Completes, as they are affectionately referenced to by their fans, play to acclaim both from fans themselves, the press, and even original Stone Roses band members. Former Stone Roses bass player Mani, has not only just appeared as a warm up DJ for the band on the odd occasion but has also played onstage with them as their guest bassist playing She Bangs The Drums on more than a few times when he was touring about with the band. Mani says “they do our songs real justice. At times, they play even better than we did.”

Indeed, a few years after The Smiths's breakup in 1987, Morrissey's American cult had grown to the point where he became more popular in the US than in his homeland, where he nevertheless was never far from the music press headlines. After a quiet period around the turn of the millennium, Morrissey launched a comeback in 2004 with You Are the Quarry, an album whose success proved that he remained one of the most beloved figures in alternative rock.

Self Help, the rock festival curated by A Day To Remember, will return to San Bernardino, California on March 19, 2016 with a lineup headlined by ADTR and also featuring a reunited Underoath. The first Self Help, also headlined by A Day To Remember, was held there in March 2014 with more than 12,000 fans attending. A Day To Remember followed this up with a sold out east coast version in Philadelphia attended by 10,000+ in October 2014 and a second west coast version in March 2015 co-headlined by Pierce the Veil and Sleeping With Sirens. In the summer of 2015, A Day To Remember played numerous festivals across Europe including Download Festival’s main stage, Rock am Ring/Rock im Park and Graspop. They ended the summer at Milwaukee’s Summerfest with a main stage performance alongside Linkin Park before being named the Best Live Band at the Alternative Press Music Awards.
