And who wants to stop when everybody’s having a good time? Lead singer Ian bears an uncanny resemblance to Liam and has worked as a look-a-like in the UK appearing on BBC1, Channel 4, Sky TV and ITV. Publicity campaigns and advertising for HMV, Virgin, Q Magazine, Loaded, Royal Bank Of Scotland, Lloyds Bank and the National Press. Ian was also asked to star in a video for heavy metal legends MOTORHEAD as Liam and also providing a voice over for a recent documentary accompanying the new Oasis-”Time Flies” DVD. To add to this, Ian has the knack of sounding like Liam too and was asked to provide the vocals on a dance remix of Wonderwall set for release in summer 2010. Holy Holy are Bowie’s drummer and Spider Man from Mars – Woody Woodmansey and producer Tony Visconti, who worked on many of Bowie’s albums and played Bass on the Man Who Sold The World. Accompanied by an all star band that includes glorious Bowie-esque vocals from Heaven 17’s Glenn Gregory, a Bowie fan and friend who also performed alongside Bowie on the original Band Aid single in 1984. The group perform Bowie’s material from the early years of ’69 – 73, upon which both Woody and Tony contributed at that time, making these exceptionally accomplished musicians and writers a long way from a Tribute band. They’re the real deal, original Bowie band members, bringing the magic back to life with one of the greatest synth pop front men of the 80’s joining the parade!

2007 saw the hoosiers explode upon an unsuspecting public with their debut album “The Trick To Life”, which reached the top of the album charts and spawned the indie-pop classics ‘Worried About Ray’ and ‘Goodbye Mr A’, which still pack out indie dance floors a decade later.

Transvision Vamp was formed by Wendy James and co-writer and guitarist Nick Christian Sayer. In West London they teamed up with Dave Parsons and Tex Axile. The band was signed to MCA records by Dave Ambrose, the notorious A&R man from EMI records who had also signed the Sex Pistols. They recorded their first LP album ‘Pop Art’ and released a first single ‘Revolution Baby’ and then charted with their second single, a cover version of Holly & The Italians ‘Tell That Girl To Shut Up’, followed by a third single ‘I Want Your Love’ which went to No.5 on the UK singles chart. The album ‘Pop Art’ was released later in 1988 and went to No.3 in the UK album chart. Extensive touring of the UK and Europe continued throughout this year as their success grew, starting on the University circuit and ending with playing two sold out gigs at the London Town And Country Club, taking in the Marquee Club along the way with queues two-fold around the block of Wardour Street, London Presented by CHALK. Swervedriver are an English alternative rock band formed in Oxford in 1989 around core members Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge. Between 1989 and 1998, the band released four studio albums and numerous EPs and singles despite a considerable flux of members, managers, and record labels.

Hayseed Dixie began in the summer of 2000 in the fertile valley of Deer Lick Holler, deep in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee USA. In this area which was completely isolated from outside cultural and musical influence, the boys grew up playing the traditional music of their forefathers on banjo, fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar and acoustic bass. All of this changed abruptly one afternoon when a stranger crashed his car into a stately old oak tree on a particularly dangerous curve, which the locals refer to as the Devil's Elbow. Sadly, the stranger expired, but his legacy lives on! As the boys searched through the wreckage looking for identification, they discovered several vinyl AC/DC albums. After playing these back on an old Edison 78rpm Victrola, everyone agreed that the songs were right fine country music . . . and that the Lost Highway of Brother Hank Williams and this Highway To Hell of AC/DC were indeed the exact same damn road! And the rest is now enshrined in musical history. Most recently, Hayseed Dixie are exploring the inspired catalogue of the stadium rock of the 1970's and 1980's. This interest began during a 2014 Spring tour of Germany, in which the band heard the song Eye of the Tiger 6 different times on 6 different German radio stations in a single day while driving between Dortmund and Frankfurt. As the seed is planted, so the tree shall grow - this very quote appears on the inner sleeve of the 1980 album Escape by Journey. How very true indeed.

From the Jam features Bruce Foxton from the original Jam line up. He also spent 15 years playing bass with Stiff Little Fingers. Bruce is joined by Russell Hastings on lead vocal and guitar. From The Jam have gained a reputation for the kind of incendiary ‘live’ performances that sealed the reputation of The Jam all those years ago. Yard Act formed in Leeds in September 2019 when Ryan Needham found himself temporarily living in James Smith's spare bedroom. They released their first material in March 2020, coinciding with you-know-what, and with just three singles (The Trapper's Pelts, Fixer Upper and Peanuts) and three gigs to date, Yard Act have staked out a territory all their own. Setting up their own imprint Zen F.C. they released their debut 7 which can now only be found for exorbitant sums on Discogs, they've scored two 6music playlists, and they've won a growing fanbase with their coruscating, narrative driven, spoken word dance-punk. Now girding their loins for a 2021 filled with new music, new recordings, debut novels, and (fingers crossed) plenty of live shows, Yard Act have most definitely marked our cards as one of UK's most exciting prospects.

Sometimes you hear a track that makes you pause. It’s the lyricism, the atmosphere or the presence. In Antony Szmierek’s case, it’s all three: the fly-on-the-wall, street-lamp-lit aesthetic of his incredibly hopeful breakthrough “Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Fallacy” is smooth and clear. The club-ready roller coasted into view with absurdist everyday-isms, flashing-light feelings and late-night philosophies, all told atop a looping piano that seemed to be coasting off day-after euphoria. 
 What Szmierek does is document incredibly specific details from his life, and others. It’s about making music that tells stories and makes him feel good. Having spent time working as a teacher throughout his twenties, he’s learned the value of “communities, people and empathy. All of these things I value as part of my personality now, I learned while teaching.” Szmierek says the ultimate mission of his music is to let others know that this is all possible.

The Feeling are five twentysomethings from Sussex and London who love pop music. Great big no-nonsense, hook-filled, giant-chorused pop music music for the masses, only intelligent, with sunshine hooks and killer choruses that everyone can hum, from plumbers to professors. The Feeling, who are all between 25 and 27, are overnight sensations with a bit of a past, cutting their teeth as session musicians on a variety of mainstream and marginal recordings. They're all from Sussex, except Dan, who's from London. Paul, Kevin and Ciaran even went to the same school: Paul and Ciaran were in the same year. The Sussex axis of the band have been friends for 13 years. They met Dan and Richard at music college in Croydon 10 years ago, and they've been working together in various forms ever since. Five years ago they went through their "Hamburg era" when they appeared for several seasons in the Alps as a covers band who specialised in versions of Rolling Stones, Kinks, Stevie Wonder and Beatles songs as well as rocked-up versions of '80s hits like "Take On Me" by A-ha, "Walk Like An Egyptian" by The Bangles and "Jump" by Van Halen: "Whatever got the crowd going."
