The List

Odeon Lothian Road

A four screen Odeon on Edinburgh's Lothian Road. The Croma pizzeria now occupies the ground-floor lobby but the cinema is there, tucked away underground, although you may have to thread your way through crowded tables to get to it. The cinema contains wheelchair spaces and there's a lift to the basement. The popcorn is fresher than usual and beers as well as soft drinks are available. Lothian buses 1, 10, 11, 15, 16, 24 and 34 run past the cinema from Princes Street on a regular basis. If you don't fancy Italian food, the Odeon is also handily close to some of Lothian Road's best food & drink joints: Illegal Jack's restaurant and The Hanging Bat pub are virtually opposite. For family groups there are branches of chain restaurants a little further down the hill. Haymarket station is the closest rail access.
