The Non-Psychic 'Psychic' Show

The Non-Psychic 'Psychic' Show

20 Jun 2025 - 28 Jun 2025

'Psychic’ performances are everywhere these days – with people who claim the ability to communicate with the dead performing everywhere from theatres, to home visits, and on television. What, however, for those who are interested in the idea of these ‘psychic’ shows, but are skeptics? Or would like to see how much ‘psychic’ phenomena can easily be faked? That is why magician, escapologist and comedy performer Greg Chapman created his ‘The Non-Psychic ‘Psychic’ Show’. Using the full range of magic, escapology, mentalism and other performance skills, he takes the audience through a ninety-minute exploration of fraudulent mediums, from the Victorian Seances to modern psychic readings, but all clearly presented as trickery – and without any attempt or illusion of talking to people’s “dead relatives’”. This show is fun and thought-provoking. Although the show takes no stand on whether it is actually possible to communicate with the dead, it shows how the appearance of such communications can be made through trickery, in a way that is entertaining, interesting, and at times downright funny! £1 from every ticket sold for this performance will be donated to Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center, Costa Rica.
The Legend of Houdini - The Old Theatre Royal, Bath
Magician Greg Chapman returns to The Old Theatre Royal, Bath, with his new show, The Legend of Houdini! Even though Harry Houdini passed away nearly 100 years ago, he remains one of the most famous magicians the world had known. This is mostly because Houdini, as well as being a respected magician and escape artist, was above all a wonderful self publicist. Never one to let the truth get in the way of a good story, especially one about himself, Houdini created his own legend. Now, modern magician and escape artist Greg Chapman (creator and performer of The Non-Psychic Psychic Show and writer of Greg and Felicitys History of Magic) is taking to the stage with a new show, in which he performs effects and escapes inspired by Houdini, and shares some of the stories, both true and exaggerated that make up The Legend of Houdini! 1 from every ticket sold for this show will be donated toRescate Wildlife Rescue Center, Costa Rica.

The Non-Psychic Seance

The Non-Psychic Seance

26 Sept 2025 - 21 Nov 2025

Get ready for an evening that combines the spooky with the funny, as 'The Non-Psychic 'Psychic'', magician Greg Chapman, takes his new performance on tour in Autumn 2025. Inspired by the response to his 'The Non-Psychic 'Psychic' Show, and his book 'A Study in Psychic', The Non-Psychic Seance, invites attendees to step back in time to the Victorian era. This unique performance captures the intrigue of a (Fraudulent) seance utilizing magical techniques, all while sharing riveting tales of psychic hoaxes from the early twentieth century. Its an engaging mix of history, comedy and illusion that sparks curiosity and thought-provoking conversation. As with 'The Non-Psychic 'Psychic' Show' the show makes no statement about the truth of 'Psychic' powers, and only discusses those who are knowingly committing fraud. The performance stems from my stage show, 'The Non-Psychic 'Psychic' Show', but brings it into a more intimate setting with a maximum of 40 people in the audience for each performance. As with my other shows, the inspiration of the great Harry Houdini is always lurking in the air as well.
