The Vaselines

The Vaselines

20 Dec 2025 - 21 Dec 2025

The Vaselines were formed in Edinburgh in 1987 by singers/guitarists Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee, soon signing to Pastels frontman Stephen Pastel's newly formed 53rd 3rd label. Nirvana's Kurt Cobain regularly cited the Vaselines influence in interviews with the music press and Nirvana would go on to cover the Vaselines' Molly's Lips and Son of a Gun (both later compiled on their Incesticide collection) as well as perform Jesus Doesn't Want Me for a Sunbeam on their legendary MTV Unplugged appearance. Cobain's gospel-spreading no doubt accelerated their rise to cult sainthood, but the Vaselines would have gotten there sooner or later on their own accord. Lewd but nave and abrasive yet tender, the band's shambling, primitivist squall remains a perfect distillation of pop at its most guileless and euphoric.Eugene Kelly later went on to front Captain America / Eugenius, while McKee spent the better part of the decade out of sight, resurfaced in Suckle, and released a solo album in 2006. The Vaselines reunited proper in 2010 to record their second full album Sex With An X which was released on the Seattle label Sub Pop.This was followed by V for Vaselines in 2014. The Ramones inspired album featured many of the same players who helped make 'Sex.....', including Belle and Sebastian's Stevie Jackson, the 1990's Michael McGaughrin and Teenage Fanclub's Francis Macdonald.
The Lovely Eggs

The Lovely Eggs

22 Oct 2025 - 1 Nov 2025

The Lovely Eggs are an underground surreal-psych punk rock duo from northern England. They have a fierce ethos that music should have no rules. For Holly and David, being in a band is a way of life. True to this , they live the way they play -- fiercely, constantly, in search of the good times. With 8/10 thumbs up from the NME and much support from BBC6 Music and Radio 1, the band continues to sell out gigs across the UK without the help of management, booking agent or record label support. With six BBC 6 Music sessions under their belt, as well as sessions for Radio 1 and XFM, The Lovely Eggs have enjoyed huge support from BBC 6 Music with airplay from DJs Marc Riley, Steve Lamacq, Lauren Laverne, Chris Hawkins, Gideon Coe, Shaun Keavney and Radcliffe and Maconie. Their songs have been produced by Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals), remixed by Tinder Singh (Cornershop) and sampled by Zane Lowe for Scrubius Pip. With releases in the UK, Europe, USA and Japan, The Lovely Eggs have played around the UK, USA and Europe. With observational and often surreal lyrics about life, The Lovely Eggs have a powerful, stripped-down sound: one vintage guitar amp, One Big Muff distortion pedal, a guitar and drum kit.

Since Asheran’s release, Dvne has toured all over the UK, Europe and North America and appeared at prestigious festivals such as Psycho Las Vegas, Desertfest London and Inferno Festival Norway to name a few. Ski Aggu is known for his deep connection with the people.Through his lyrics, music videos, and social media presence, he perfectly encapsulates the Berlin lifestyle and the zeitgeist of Gen Z. While he makes no secret of his hedonistic side, he also reflects on the ups and downs of life. Beyond his ability to enjoy life to the fullest, one thing is undeniable – the Wilmersdorf native can rap. Punchlines, technique, laid-back flow, and entertaining, authentic West Berlin rap. And not just in the studio, but especially on stage. Since his viral breakthrough with the gold-certified hit “Party Sahne” in 2022, Ski Aggu has been unstoppable. His meteoric rise continued in 2023 with the gabber-pop sensation “Friesenjung” alongside Dutch star Joost Klein and the legendary Otto Waalkes. The track stormed the charts, reaching #1 in Germany and racking up millions of streams worldwide. Following the success of his second tape, denk mal drüber nach..., which dominated the album charts, Ski Aggu continued his winning streak in 2024 with the release of his latest album 'Wilmersdorfs Kind'. The album, featuring the hit single “\[Z0RNIG 2O24\],” further cemented his place as one of Germany’s top rappers. Presented by SJM Concerts. Their music is bursting with dynamism, exploring push-pull dynamics that results in something ceaselessly unpredictable. It results in a sound that is rare for a new band: as experimental as it is confident and assured, as tender as it is visceral, as quiet as it is loud, as bloody as it is teary.

Lilly Hiatt

Lilly Hiatt

20 Oct 2025 - 26 Oct 2025

Lilly Hiatt's love of the '90s alt-rock she was raised on shines through on Trinity Lane in the distressed guitars and urgent backbeats. She cites the Pixies, Breeders, Dinosaur Jr., and her favourites, Pearl Jam as influences, but there is also something distinctly Americana lurking in the songs. After moving out of an ex's house, Hiatt settled into a new apartment off of Trinity Lane in her East Nashville neighbourhood and went on tour with friend John Moreland to the West Coast and back. The intensely personal, autobiographical album was written largely upon her return, in isolation, facing the issues she escaped while on the road. Every time she wanted a man, she picked up her guitar. Every time she wanted a drink, she picked up her guitar. Hiatt says, 'Love will take you to the darkest places but also the most honest places if you let it. Learning how to love myself is something I've always been lousy with, and I spent some time on that. I thought about my sobriety, what that means to me, the struggles I'd had throughout the years, since I was a 27-year-old and hung up my toxic drinking habit. I thought about my mother, who took her own life when I was a baby, not far from my age at 30 years old, and I related to her more than ever. As you can see, there was plenty of time spent on my own. I didn't talk to that many folks, albeit a few close friends, and leaned into my family. I stayed away from men, and danced alone in the evenings, looking out my window observing my humble and lively neighbourhood. I found power in being by myself. I found peace in the people I was surrounded with we didn't really know one another, but we smiled when passed on the street. One time I almost rear-ended an older woman in her car backing out of my driveway and I said, Oh man, I'm just not used to any cars coming around this bend. She replied, This is our little hideout, baby, And it really was.' She continues, 'After a while, I had all these songs to play, and wanted to share them. I wanted to get out of town to get some distance from everything, so after an ongoing conversation with Michael Trent, I took my band to Johns Island, SC and we holed up for a few weeks. I poured my heart out, and trusted them with it, and these guys gave it right back. I think we all understood what it's like to question home, intention, demons, love I think most people understand that.' Lilly Hiatt returned with Trinity Lane in August 2017. The 12-song set was produced by Michael Trent of Shovels & Rope and engineered by Andy Dixon at Trent's Studio Bees in Johns Island, SC. In addition to her backing band, Trent is featured as a musician throughout, and is joined by his wife and Shovels & Rope partner Cary Ann Hearst for backing vocals on Everything I Had. 'Lilly is as real and honest of a songwriter as they come,' says Trent. 'Fearless and thoughtful and a total joy to be around.' NPR Music is premiering the full album as a First Listen, stating, 'On Trinity Lane, the third album by this fixture of Nashville's indie scene and first for New West she's devoted to excruciatingly revealing expression, deftly manipulating the tone and perspective of her songwriting from track to track. Her treatment of pain can, remarkably, feel both considered and diaristic.' They continue, 'Her willingness to portray herself in moments of anger or neediness that others might deem unseemly, particularly coming from a woman, and to examine gender divisions in emotional labor at close range, is courageous and affecting.' Paste Magazine previously premiered the video for the album's single The Night David Bowie Died, exclaiming that Trinity Lane is 'going to be one for the books'. Of the song, Hiatt offered, 'The night David Bowie died, I was in disbelief. I wanted to talk to someone, but it was too late to make a phone call. I cried quietly and went to bed. The next day, I picked up my guitar and hit record on Garage Band. I started to sing and those were the first words that came out. I felt like Bowie was giving me a little gift.'

Cat Clyde

Cat Clyde

28 Jul 2025 - 28 Jul 2025

Cat Clyde is a singer/songwriter based out of rural Ontario, Canada. A combination of driven, soulful blues and sweet, folk- tinged, dulcet tones that carry a particular sense of familiarity provide the structure on which she creates her unique sound. With influences ranging from Patsy Cline and Lead Belly to Karen Dalton and Bobbie Gentry, this patchwork of musical significance, when stitched to her modern approach, fits like a well-tailored, corduroy-road cloth. Cat's latest album Down Rounder is a wonder of deeply felt songwriting, a record that finds her marvelling at what's around her while considering her own place within it all. Cat joined producer Tony Berg in Los Angeles famed Sound City studios to lay down the entirety of Down Rounder in six days flat. The record sounds both lively and lived-in, with Clyde's malleable singing voice spanning an appealing twang to a lovely, plaintive croon and anywhere in between espousing an essential connection between our spiritual centre and the natural world that surrounds us. The album is an exploration and expression of self, patterns in the natural and unnatural world, connecting to nature, the turning wheel of life, shedding old selves, embracing new selves, and the ever changing, expanding and contracting nature of love and life, Cat explains. After racking up millions of streams across multiple platforms with previous releases, Down Rounder sounds like the work of someone who's found themselves artistically and holistically, while extending a hand to any listener who wants to follow Clyde on her singular and thrilling path.
Ruthven

Ruthven

3 Dec 2025 - 3 Dec 2025

Ruthven aka Sean Nelson has always had a certain fervour associated with him. The South London musician first broke onto the scene in 2017 as one of the first signees to Paul Institute, the label created by enigmatic brothers A.K and Jai Paul. With a distinct mode of expression underpinned by infectious playful hooks, he quickly caught the attention of critics - Pitchfork called him “an antidote to lazy, laid-back pop music” adding that “Hypothalamus” packs “as much punch as they do dulcet melody”, while The Fader said he “creates Prince-like jams with the contours and sleekness of sports cars.”

Caoilfhionn Rose

Caoilfhionn Rose

12 Nov 2025 - 12 Nov 2025

Caoilfhionn Rose digs deep to find experimental new ways of expressing her wonder at nature's beauty, her love of music in all its diversity, and her belief in the restorative powers that both afford in the troubled post-covid world. Vigorous, searching and ever-curious, Caoilfhionn has found a voice at once ancient and modern, intrepidly exploring contemporary technology to transform traditional songcraft for the mid-2020s. Caoilfhionn's music is rooted in a knowledge of folk, jazz and all the twentieth century's classic tunesmiths, and seems to create a magical, otherworldly space of her own imagining, blending Caoilfhionn's core piano with synths, and pitting a live rhythm section and saxophone embellishments against ambient samples and future-facing production techniques.

In recent releases, the group actively uses native Georgian lyrics and motifs, which made listening to the band more intense and interesting. The band's latest full album titled "...of Mourning" was released on 25th October 2024 via Immortal Frost Productions. The new release instantly had a very good reaction from the fans of the band and genre. The album is a fine mixture of DSBM, acoustic parts and even traditional folk elements, painful screams and clean vocals as well. "...of Mourning" is truly an exceptional work of art.

Ducks Ltd

Ducks Ltd

24 Aug 2025 - 2 Sept 2025

Toronto’s Ducks Ltd. (formerly Ducks Unlimited), the bright jangle-pop duo of Tom McGreevy (lead vocal, guitar, bass, keyboards) and Evan Lewis (guitar, bass, drum programming), accomplish the impossible. The pair craft songs that play to very specific inspirations without drowning underneath them—immediately evidenced on their critically acclaimed EP, Get Bleak, and sharpened on Modern Fiction, their debut LP. “The Servants, The Clean, The Chills, The Bats, Television Personalities, Felt,” Evan rattles off. “Look Blue Go Purple is one I reference a lot with our production.” Echoes of ‘80s indiepop abound, but they never overwhelm. This is not a nostalgic record, after all, nor is it a derivative one. Instead, across 10 cheery-sounding songs, Ducks Ltd. explore contemporary society in decline, examining large scale human disaster through personal turmoil (hence the title, taken from a university course called Gnosticism and Nihilism in Modern Fiction, influenced by Graham Greene novels. Bookish indie fans, look no further). This is an 18+ event (Photo ID Required).

Wombo

Wombo

2 Nov 2025 - 7 Nov 2025

The weird world of Wombo is a kaleidoscopic journey of sharp turns and surprising visions, a melting pot of influences with a cheeky cheshire-cat grin that coalesce into a trippy but infinite universe, a portal into their unique vantage point without limitation. Already committed to living outside the traditionally-heralded country sound of the music scene in their hometown of Louisville Kentucky, Sydney Chadwick (vocals) and Cameron Lowe (guitar) had previously played in punk pop band the Debauchees, and with the addition of Joel Taylor (drums) in 2016 they found a winning combination of more straightforward indie rock combined with Chadwick’s pitched up, oscillating vocals and unpredictable shifts in melody that see the band moving forward at an impressive pace. Their 2018 album Blossomlooksdownuponus is a snapshot of Wombo’s wide-ranging aspirations that careen across avant pop, psych and wonky post punk interludes with a sky’s-the-limit approach to translating the mundanity of regular life into their own high-frequency language.
Portals Presents: Slow Crush & Som

Portals Presents: Slow Crush & Som

18 Oct 2025 - 18 Oct 2025

Portals Presents: Belgian shoegaze sensations Slow Crush. Slow Crush are a band that thrives on evolution. After their acclaimed debut Aurora-dubbed by Stereogum as “phenomenal” and “one of the best shoegaze albums of all time”-they toured relentlessly, building a global fanbase drawn to their immersive, swirling soundscapes. Their new record is heavier and more layered, contrasting dreamy vocals with gritty guitars, capturing a new emotional intensity. Isa dug deeper than ever before in her lyrics and vocal performance, exploring themes of emotional burnout, reconnection, and the push-pull of life on and off the road. At its core, the album reflects a desire for clarity and emotional truth-balancing heaviness with intimacy. It’s a record about being tethered yet weightless, lost yet searching, and above all, embracing music as a space for stillness, reflection, and transcendence. “We want people to feel embraced by the music,” Isa says. “To let go and be taken somewhere else-into another dimension, even. A place where they can just be present.” Support comes from American shoegaze/post-rock supergroup SOM (featuring members from Caspian, Junius, and Constants). Presented by Portals. This is a 16+ event (under 18’s accompanied).

Svalbard

Svalbard

19 Nov 2025 - 23 Nov 2025

Hard-hitting! That’s the only way to describe this fearless group. There’s no poetry, no ambiguity - just direct, raw honesty as the Bristolian quartet tackle some very uncomfortable subjects head on. This is heavy in the most evocative sense of the word. The blunt lyrics are equally as important as the music. Whilst refining their distinctive blend of euphoric black metal, post-rock and d-beat, Svalbard have incorporated a few more surprising influences along the way. From soft, mournful singing to progressive guitar leads, it showcases a sensitive dynamic that lends impact to their most crushing moments - of which there are undoubtedly many.

Agriculture

3 Sept 2025 - 13 Sept 2025

For something to be “ecstatic,” the feelings and emotions it evokes must transcend what we tend to experience most regularly in our lives. Ecstatic joy isn’t just happiness; it’s a feeling of jubilation which impacts us emotionally and in a metaphysical, arguably spiritual sense too. Although it has long been associated with connotations of the dark and macabre, extreme music has the ability to be a powerful mode of expression for these feelings of absolute bliss, overwhelming love, and awe-inspiring sublimity. Extreme emotions no less and those which black metal quartet Agriculture evokes with its ecstatic subversion of the subgenre’s tropes. On Agriculture’s self-titled record and first full-length LP, it’s abundantly clear that the band’s use of heavy music to showcase the most resplendent emotions and moments of the human experience has a far deeper meaning. Woven between the flurries of soaring tremolo picking, crescendoing guitar harmonies, celebratory screamed vocals, thoughtful improvisation, and meditative atmospheric passages is the record’s mission statement to experience the wonders and joys of both the esoteric and physical world. These facets are showcased within Agriculture's first single and album opener, "Look Pt. 1," which premieres today as a lyric video. What was initially a meeting and subsequent series of jam sessions between Kern Haug and Daniel Meyer, two musicians in the Los Angeles underground noise scene, would eventually manifest as a shared vision to portray the sublimity of the human experience through the vehicle of heavy music. Following the additions of veteran guitarist Richard Chowenhill and bassist/vocalist Leah Levinson to the band’s lineup, this idea would crystalize into the “ecstatic black metal” backbone of Agriculture’s music, first heard on the band’s 2022 debut EP, The Circle Chant. The concepts and thematic questions previously planted by the band have blossomed into powerful, fully-realized artistic and philosophical statements on Agriculture. To put it in the band’s words, “...where 'The Circle Chant' is like a finger pointing at the moon, the self-titled LP is like a whole body screaming at it with reverence.” Through the extreme splendor of ecstatic black metal and the improvisational, experimental, and cathartic elements it embodies, Agriculture illustrates these otherwise incomprehensible questions with a poignant beauty that makes its music as much of an artistic statement as it is a transcendental experience. Micah P Hinson

Micah P Hinson

4 Nov 2025 - 7 Nov 2025

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult Micah P. Hinson's new album Presents The Holy Strangers is described by the artist as being a modern folk opera. Telling the story of a war time family, going from birth to love, to marriage and children, to war and betrayal, murder to suicide spanning all of the strange and glorious places life can lead. We follow their story, we see their decisions, we see their faults and their beauty. We live with them, we die with them. Two years in the making, Micah wrote and recorded The Holy Strangers in Denison, Texas, incorporating ancient reel to reels, analogue keyboards, old Tascam and Yamaha desks. The recording only entered the digital realm once pre-mastering took place. Split across two pieces of the vinyl, the 14 tracks which make up The Holy Strangers are at times sparse and haunting; at other times luscious, maybe even euphoric. From the Johnny Cash-style country single Lover's Lane, to the album's broad, spoken-word centrepiece Micah Book One, The Holy Strangers covers a lot of ground over the course of its hour long running time, appealing to both long-time fans and new ones alike.

At the end of the year, the pair released a second track, "Don't Talk About You." In 2017, Geowulf issued the singles "Won't Look Back" and "Get You" before collecting them for their debut EP, Relapse, in June. Over the next eight months, the duo focused on touring and recording their debut album, issuing singles like "Hideaway" and "Drink Too Much," both of which appeared on the full-length Great Big Blue in 2018.
