Following a run of sold out gigs in 2024, two very different artists from the worlds of Americana and folk pop return to play together as a single band to celebrate their new albums. My Girl The River Kris Wilkinson Hughes aka My Girl the River is a Louisiana native who is now based in the UK after a decade of songwriting in Nashville. She has recently released her third album, Songs About Space, to strong critical acclaim. As a performer, she is funny, warm and feisty with a sackful of hook laden songs and a voice of sweet sugared espresso. You might find yourself singing along or quietly listening as you go on a journey of truth, heartache and mystery. A lovely mélange of Americana Roots music brings to mind... We have a fabulous line up for our monthly Third Thursday Music Night at Other Space Arts, Windsor on 21st August with Tomorrow Bird, He Fired First and Veronica Drowzdowski. Drawing influences from bands such as The Civil Wars, their haunting melodies and heart-felt lyrics have transfixed audiences and marked Tomorrow Bird out as a band to watch! He Fired First are a straight talking anarchic folk/punk trio singing songs of activism with a social conscious. Veronica Drowzdowski is a 17 year British-Polish singer-songwriter. Starts 8pm admission £8.00 in advance, £10 on the door.

Little Lore is a London based, Indie-Americana singer-storyteller whose songs are both charmingly accessible and beguilingly challenging. You'll want to listen twice. When you combine British wit and wordplay with cherished Americana roots, musical magic starts to happen. London based singer-songwriter, Simon O'Grady plays acoustic songs using finger-picked guitar, open tunings, hypnotic rhythms and folk-influenced melodies accompanied by tom white on Banjo. Martin Wood is an acoustic performer steeped in the acoustic Blues tradition.
