This 19th century listed building hosts weddings, conferences, meetings, dinners and more. The main Victorian hall is ideal for large dinners and wedding receptions, seating up to 300. For conferences it can accommodate up to 384 guests. The Loggia is ideal for a small civil or religious ceremony, with it's impressive balcony overlooking Paisley Abbey. There is no car parking available at the Town Hall but there is a range of parking nearby.

Karen has trod the boards in everything from Glasgow Panto to West End Classics, performed Burns, Shakespeare, done stand up and DJ-ed in New York and Ibiza, and in 2014 she opened the Commonwealth Games in front of one billion viewers. From Oran Mor to the National Theatre, Karen has captivated audiences with mix of comedy, music and acting talents and last year she toured Scotland playing 80 dates around the whole country and filmed this for BBC. Carole King’s Tapestry: An Evening In Laurel Canyon
Overlookingthe hustle and bustle of Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip, Laurel Canyon hosted a community of musicians through the 1960’s and 70’s fostering an unparallelled hive of creativity. Among Laurel Canyon’s residents were the likes ofNeil Young, James Taylor, The Byrds, The Mamas & The Papas, Eagles, The Doors and Joni Mitchell. Performed by a live 6-piece band with vocals, in the first half of this concert you will hear music from the artists listed above as well as many other Laurel Canyon residents during this time. He’s temporarily suspended his membership of Slimming World for one month. But for Tam the tour – which is long overdue – can’t come quick enough. He said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to going out on the first tour of my career. What a great opportunity to have a laugh, joke and a real carry-on with all the people who’ve been listening to my guff for the past three decades. I cannae wait.” Most notably as co-presenter of BBC Radio Scotland’s award winning Off The Ball that celebrates its 32nd anniversary in 2026. Tam is also a popular columnist in The Sunday Post with a light-hearted weekly spread which takes an irreverent look at the world at large. When it comes to playing it for laughs, he’s honoured to be rubbing shoulders with Post legends, Oor Wullie and The Broons. Breathing Life into Scotland’s Forgotten Women: A Historical Fiction Workshop
Join authors Lucy Ribchester and Mairi Kidd for a workshop exploring the role of historical fiction in bringing Scotland’s forgotten women into the light. Official historical narratives frequently focus on the deeds of men, from the battle of Stirling Bridge to the Enlightenment, ignoring the less visible acts of rebellion, strength and wisdom with which women have always contributed to the growth of Scotland. Using a range of historical sources, from burgh records to ledgers, diaries, paintings, folk tales and ballads, participants will gain practical tools and methods to help them tell their own stories. Celebrate Scots poetry in an event hosted by the National Library of Scotland Scots Scriever and award-winning performer, Taylor Dyson. Len Pennie astounded readers with her debut collection, Poyums, having established herself as a popular Scots voice online. Her second collection, Poyums Annaw, is another blistering collection that confronts difficult themes with characteristic wit and defiance. Michael Mullen’s debut collection, Goonie, has been shortlisted for several awards including the Forward Prize for Best First Collection in 2025.In these poems, an oral Scots tradition combines with whip-sharp Glaswegian humour to paint a vivid picture of working-class community from the perspective of its queer son.

From creating some of the most iconic poetry of the modern era, including the world’s most popular wedding poem “I Wanna Be Yours” (which has over a billion streams in its incarnation as a hit record by the Arctic Monkeys) to sharing his life story through his best selling memoir of the same name which is full of John’s much-loved sardonic wit and hilarious ponderings on modern life. John is referenced as a major influence not just by the Arctic Monkeys but also by artists across the globe… As well as musicians like Alex Turner, The Sleaford Mods and Plan B, his legendary number “Evidently Chickentown” plays out the penultimate episode of The Sopranos. Watching John Cooper Clarke perform is an opportunity to see a living legend at the top of his game. Doctor John Cooper Clarke shot to prominence in the 1970s.
