Jazz Sabbath

Jazz Sabbath

5 Nov 2025 - 7 Nov 2025

Jazz Sabbath are a jazz trio from the UK that plays instrumental jazz interpretations of Black Sabbath songs. Helmed by pianist Adam Wakeman (Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s solo band since 2004), the group explores the boundaries between jazz and the songs that defined heavy metal, echoing already present jazz riffs and discovering new ones. Presenting themselves as a jazz trio formed in 1968 and the original writers of the tracks later made famous by Black Sabbath, they released their self-titled debut album in 2020. In 2022, their second album was released, entering the Billboard jazz album chart at number six. A European tour followed, which saw the group play sold-out shows at the EFG London Jazz Festival and other venues across the continent.

Maurizio will perform ‘Inner Reflections’, a concert that has already been performed in many European and non-European cities such as Hamburg, Amsterdam, Kiev, Odessa, Lviv, Palermo, Rome, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Astana, Almaty, etc., and that has garnered many sold out and critical acclaim. Say So, Jim, George Wilding

Say So, Jim, George Wilding

27 Aug 2025 - 27 Aug 2025

Whilst Unspun Sessions takes a little break for August (back September!!) .. we are so delighted to have in-house resident band SAY SO live, joined by special guests Portuguese singer-songwriter JIM and the wonderful GEORGE WILDING. SAY SO is a collection of musicians who first crossed paths on London’s Blues Jams scene. Their repertoire travels through blues classics, originals and a touch of improvisation. Line up: Apple Mary (vox), Will Coultney-Jones (guitar), Ryota Saito (Bass) and Karen Shibata (drums). Notably, Say So runs their own Blues Jam Session every Thursday evening at Piano Smithfield. With a huge love for blues, they deliver performances that are raw, expressive and unforgettable. Portuguese born and London based singer/songwriter JIM takes influences from classic rock and psychedelic sounds of the 60s & 70s and fuses them with the intimacies of bossanova and folk into a dazzling array of indie pop and garage rock songs. For over a decade GEORGE WILDING has stood out from the crowd, hopping genres and creating new sounds. His troubadoric-natured songs have been described as ‘Kinks-esque psychedelic folk, ’shambient Britrock’ and ‘beat-poet penned pop anthems’. Ten years may be a long time in the fickle world of music making, but I suggest that, if anything, he’s just getting going. Success Express Music This is an 18+ event.
