DJ, broadcaster and global dance music legend Pete Tong has today announced that his critically acclaimed Ibiza Classics will return for a brand-new show in winter 2024. He will once again be joined by long time collaborator Jules Buckley and The Essential Orchestra. Special guest vocalists will be announced in the new year. Ibiza Classics has firmly cemented itself as part of the live music calendar becoming the world's most iconic orchestral electronic music event. Celebrating the legacy of dance music, the new live show will include a host of special guest DJs and singers showcasing stunning reimagines of timeless classic house tracks. Combining unique orchestration with unparalleled electronic production, ravers rejoice as it is set to be the party of the year reminiscent of the White Isle and its musical history!

The show at Powderham Castle is one of two UK shows for Duran Duran this summer. They will be joined by Nile Rodgers & CHIC.

Formally launched in 2015, the group has performed at numerous festivals throughout the UK and abroad and produced three albums, two of which reached No.6 in the Classical charts and received stunning reviews in all major journals including Gramophone. They have performed numerous times live on BBC; on In Tune (Radio 3) and Womans Hour (Radio 4), and their programme will include music sacred and profane, tender, witty and urbane.

He is currently Organist at Exeter University; Wellington School and Blundells School and was appointed Musical Director of Sidmouth Choral Society in 2024. His appearances with us are always masterful and entertaining and always popular with everyone. This time he is collaborating with Lucille Burns, who has previously performed at the Stratford International Festival and has worked in educational outreach for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and is now based in Devon.

Joel Munday & Julian Trevelyan - Violin & Piano
These two British musicians are beginning to make their mark on the international musical scene. Joel,from Devon, makes his professional debut in24/25 season as soloist with the London Mozart Players, having performed with RCM junior department in 2017. He was one of 11 musicians worldwide to receive the London Symphony Orchestras Conservatoire Scholarship for the 23/24 season. For us, he collaborates with Julian, a finalist in the 2024 Leeds Piano Competition, who has also been soloist with City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and made recordings with Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, amongst others.

Dive into the ultimate family adventure at Gone Wild Festival with Bear Grylls in Devon Gone Wild was set up by former Royal Marines and Holkham employee Oli Mason, alongside British adventurer, former member of 21 SAS Regiment, Honorary Colonel to the Royal Marines Commandos, and the youngest ever UK Chief Scout, Bear Grylls OBE. The festival was set up to create a family adventure where parents and their children could escape from their home comforts and digital devices to discover the benefits of rewilding. Launched in 2021, the festival is now in its fourth year. In addition to over 100 free activities, a range of paid-for experiences are also available. These range from coasteering, and forging your own fire poker, to quad biking, yoga workshops and firewalking.

This annual foodie event is set to be bigger and better than ever, showcasing a selection of the finest food and drink producers in and around Devon. Whether you're a familiar face at the festival, are a keen foodie fanatic or are simply looking for a fun way to spend your weekend, this is not to be missed. Throughout the weekend, there'll be an exciting line-up of events, cooking demonstrations and, the annual chilli-eating contest will be making an eagerly anticipated return. There'll be entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy, plus furry friends are more than welcome. The castle will be open for visitors throughout the weekend as part of the ticket price. Additionally, a quintessentially British cream tea dining experience within the castle will be available for pre-booking before the event. Onsite parking is also free on a first-come, first-served basis.

This is probably the biggest classic vehicle event in the South West with some 1500-2000 exhibits including steam, cars, motorcycles, commercials, military, tractors and buses. There are around one hundred trade stands, including many autojumblers. Organised by the Crash Box and Classic Car Club, this year celebrates fifty years since the first show here in 1975. We have lots of family entertainment too, with a fun dog show, Ferris wheel, VE Day display, live music, miniature children’s train, face painting and more. Over the years and with the with the help of visitors, exhibitors, suppliers, sponsors and Powderham Castle, we have raised around £300,000 for mostly local charities.
