Claire Booth -'Cocteau's Music'album launch

Featuring music by Poulenc, Milhaud, Auric and Delage, Claire will perform selected works and discuss the writings, friendships and creative circle of one of 20th-century Frances most compelling cultural figures. A little more about Cocteaus music Jean Cocteau was not a composer in the conventional sense, but music ran through his artistic world. His writing, films and collaborations were closely bound up with figures such as Satie, Stravinsky and Les Six, creating an atmosphere that is elegant, theatrical, surreal and unmistakably French. Claire Booths new album Cocteaus Music invites listeners into that world a place where poetry, myth and sound meet, and where music becomes part of Cocteaus strange, luminous imagination.
