Over the past fifty years, Steeleye Span have come to define the concept of English folk rock - taking it from the world of small clubs into the charts, concert halls and festivals around the globe. As they celebrate their milestone anniversary, Steeleye Span show no signs of slowing down. Releasing seven studio and four live albums since the turn of the century, their current seven piece line-up ranks as one of the strongest of their long history and features John Kirkpatrick's son Benji from Bellowhead amongst others. Starting the year with a return to Ireland for three shows, including St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, they will tour the UK in March and April - once more revisiting famous moments and hidden gems from their career. This will lead to the release of their 24th studio album Est 1969, later in the year and another chapter in one of the most famous stories in modern music.

The Beat formed in 1979 and released their debut single, an infectious cover of the Smokey Robinson classic Tears of A Clown on 2-Tone Records which went straight into the UK national charts at #6. Along with their contemporaries The Specials, Madness and The Selecter, The Beat became an overnight sensation. Bow Wow Wow were created by Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren in 1980 from members of the Adam and the Ants group along with vocalist Annabella Lwin. Between 1980-1983 Bow Wow Wow had acclaimed singles such as I Want Candy, C-30 C60 C-90 Go, Go Wild In The Country, Fools Rush In, Afrodisiac, Do You Wanna Hold Me, Sexy Eiffel Towers, Louis Quatorze and more.

Darkside, The Pink Floyd Show, a tribute to the music of Britain’s greatest progressive rock band, make their first visit to Mansfield with the 'With Friends Surrounded Tour'. After 15 years of touring, playing at theatres across the UK, seven musicians will deliver a show with empathy and passion playing tracks from Pink Floyds massive back-catalogue, from the early magical days of founder Syd Barrett through to later iconic albums, renowned for their complex structures, such as Dark Side of The Moon. The emphasis will be on replicating the experience of Pink Floyd live on stage in the 70’s which many believe was Floyd at their very best. The superb Cariss Auburn takes on the role of Clare Torry, who performed Great Gig in the Sky on the original 1973 Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon, recreating this unique enigmatic vocal with its extra-terrestrial soundscape which has been leaving audiences enthralled. As would be expected, the show incorporates a spectacular and dramatic laser light show and evocative images and animated sequences projected on a circular screen, which were key features of Pink Floyds live performances.

Adam Hussain, Billy Webb, Mystkal, the Maggot, 2hats and Mike Balls convinced Rhys to record the rap. Fuelled by Lambrini, fags, Chicken Tikka Massala and weed they all took to the mic and The GLC’s first album “Don’t Blame the Chain” was born. And so it began, the journey which has so far seen The GLC rise to the top of the charts, perform around the world and at every major festival in the Western Hemisphere and make millions of people laugh along the way. Now many years since that first rap about Eggsy’s tracksuit, the boys are still keeping it real in the rap game and hold the title of the most successful UK rap act ever.
