Day 2 of this year's Brighton Rhythm & Soul Weekend starts with a '60's Soul Afternoon Boogaloo session which proved to be pure dynamite last year. We've engaged some proper crusty DJs for this one who will be digging deep into their vinyl treasure to unearth some of the very best examples of the dancefloor classics that emerged from this golden decade for Soul Music. Just 5 for the ultimate chillout session - but capacity is limited so be warned!!

The Sunday Bank Holiday Northern Soul Alldayer is invariably the hottest ticket during the Brighton Rhythm & Soul Weekend and this year they are likely to be snapped up sooner than ever because of the amount of people who already have a Weekend Pass and the fact that capacity is necessarily limited. Once again we have assembled a top, top line up and notable debutants are Sally Shardlow from Derbyshire and young Jamie Fry who sparkles behind the decks as well as he does on the dancefloor.

We're delighted to be announcing our 5th Brighton Rhythm & Soul Weekend which this year takes place in our new Home of Soul - THE KOKO CLUB! This year the Weekend will be stretching into a FOURTH DAY with a special afternoon session on Bank Holiday Monday featuring Soul Gems of the 1970s and 80s! Once again we'll be featuring our traditional Northern Soul Bank Holiday Blockbuster on the Sunday with an eclectic mix of DJs and this year's programme will start with the ever popular 'NORTHERN SOUL HEAVEN - an evening of those great classics and anthems. In between you'll find the ModSoul Boogaloo Party and a special evening when the Soul Clubs of Sussex unite for the very first time. Priority is given to those with a weekend ticket to cover all events although - subject to availability - tickets for individual events will be sold nearer the time.. Full details including DJs will be dripped in the coming weeks and months. Please note that capacity in this venue is limited, so we are likely to be SOLD OUT before the start of the weekend.

The Weekender ends with a lovely wind-down session of 70s/80s Soul Music and Dance Classics from a really cherished era. It's all on authentic 100% vinyl curated by an eclectic assembly of DJs who know how to aim the beat to your feet! Just 5 for the ultimate therapy session. Can't beat that!

1970-1985 was a golden period for Soul Music and the great days of disco. So much great music was pouring out of New York, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles etc , even Miami and elsewhere. Only a small fraction made a big impression on the Hit Parade - but we intend to showcase the whole spectrum. We've hired 3 top jocks who really champion the era, so join us and dance yourself dizzy!

We're delighted to announce that we will be returning to The Leonardo Royal Waterfront Hotel for this year's Soul Survivors' Christmas Party - our 19th we think...but we lost count some time ago! It's likely to be the bigger than ever because it's a DOUBLE EVENT with Northern Soul being played next door in The KoKo Club (within The Queens Hotel). Your ticket will include admission to BOTH venues. Expect a night of non stop Classic Soul, Motown and Disco anthems in the Leonardo with classic videos from the era on the giant screen. Next door it's 100% authentic vinyl for the Northern Soul aficionados who will gather for a session of anthems and floorshakers from the gretest underground dance scene that has ever emerged in this country.
