The Counterfeit Sixties presents a showcase of the great bands of this unforgettable time. The fantastic music of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Dave Clark Five, The Kinks and The Monkees - to name but a few - all recreated in this stunning show. The band members have performed their unique tribute shows all over the UK and abroad, and have a wide range of experience in that field. The members of the band have individually worked with notable sixties artists such as The Searchers, The Ivy League, The Fortunes, The Tremeloes and many more. Rock The Crossbar Charity Football Tournament & Jam
Rock the Crossbar: Celebrities, Musicians and Football Legends Unite for Charity Football Match in Armadale On Saturday 27th July, The Volley in Armadale will be the stage for a high-energy clash of stars as some of Scotlands biggest names in music and football come together for Rock the Crossbar a celebrity charity football tournament in aid of Maggies Centre. Kicking off at 1pm, the event will see musicians and well-known faces take to the pitch alongside former professional footballers, including Scotland legends Charlie Mulgrew, Kris Boyd, Colin Hendry, and Simon Donnelly. Confirmed teams include big names from the UK music scene, with appearances from The Darkness, The View, Ben Walker, Luke La Volpe, Dictator, and Sergeant. The tournament promises friendly rivalry, unforgettable moments, and a huge turnout from fans and the local community. After the final whistle, the day continues at The Regal Theatre in Bathgate with an awards dinner and live jam session, featuring surprise performances, special guests, and plenty of celebration all in support of Maggies Centre, a charity offering free cancer support to individuals and families across the UK. The goal is to raise £50,000 and thanks to the generosity of Spring Solutions, that goal is now firmly in reach. Jonathan Ward, Managing Director at Spring Solutions, said: Maggies is an incredible charity that does life-changing work for people facing cancer. Were proud to support this event and the amazing effort behind it. To help get Rock the Crossbar over the line, Spring Solutions will match every pound raised up to the full £50,000 target.
