Resorts World Arena, formerly The Genting Arena, is one of the Midlands' largest entertainment venues with a capacity of 15,685. Welcoming comedians, bands, popstars, singer-songwriters, dancers, sports personalities and more to the stage, the venue sees over 700,000 people through its doors every year. Resorts World Arena has a flexible bowl arena meaning it is a diverse venue that can host small events as well as those at full capacity. The venue is easily accessible by car and sits next to Birmingham International rail station. There are regular buses from Birmingham Coach Station to Birmingham Airport which is the nearest drop off to the venue.

Torvill & Dean have announced that they will be retiring from skating together in spring 2025, when they embark on their last ever live tour: ‘Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance’ This will be the very last chance to see the world’s most famous skating superstars in action on the ice together. The 28 date tour will travel across the UK, culminating at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 11 May for their final performance and their last dance. Following an invitation from the Mayor of Sarajevo to visit the city to mark the 40th anniversary of the Winter Olympics, Torvill & Dean were there four decades on reliving the memories of their iconic heart-stopping performance which had a UK television audience of 24 million people on the edge of their seats. It became one of the greatest sporting moments of the 20th Century and set a new standard for world-class figure skating. ‘Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance’ UK Tour will be the last time that Jayne and Chris will perform on ice together, 50 years since they formed their incredible skating partnership, giving audiences one last chance to see and celebrate the iconic duo. Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean said: "Following the kind invitation from the Mayor, we are thrilled to be back in Sarajevo 40 years on from that memorable day. Returning to the city which provided such a life-changing moment for us is incredibly nostalgic and brings back so many wonderful memories. We’re also feeling very emotional as we announce our 2025 farewell tour: ‘Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance’. British girl group responsible for many of the most successful pop hits of the 00s The Sugababes truly went on a unique journey as a group, with the entire original line-up being replaced one by one, only to reform over a decade later and release new music. Their impact on pop – and especially female-fronted pop acts – has been recognised time and time again, and they are among a select group of British acts that have had all their albums reach the top 15. The original line-up didn’t reunite until 2012, when they re-entered the recording studio to work on new music. Single ‘Flatline’ came in 2013, released under the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan as the ‘Sugababes’ name was still in use. The group did eventually reclaim the name in 2015 and re-released ‘Flatline’ as the Sugababes in 2022. They embarked on The Sacred Three tour in 2016, playing a string of dates around the UK. In 2021, the group released a 20th-anniversary edition of One Touch.

Their name came from Bastille Day, which not only marks the start of the French Revolution but also happens to be Smith’s birthday.
