Katherine Miles Sculpture Exhibition

Katherine Miles Sculpture Exhibition

20 Oct 2026 - 1 Nov 2026

Nature inspired willow sculptures by Devon artist Katherine Miles to be exhibited at RHS Garden Rosemoor this Autumn, 17 August – 1 November 2026 Inspired by the ancient pathways, passing livestock and the beautiful colours and forms of trees, lichen and fauna, each of the sculptural pieces created by Katherine Miles have been carefully selected to reflect this time of year near her home in Dartmoor. Using willow sourced from Somerset, Katherine also uses foraged items found across the Devon countryside; burnt gorse, dried ivy branches, lichen, and driftwood; for sculptural detailing that helps bring the pieces alive, adding a mystical quality. Katherine says 'Creating a sculpture is like life-drawing for me, only instead of using a pencil I draw with willow. It's a meditative process, that provides me with a sense of peace and wellbeing. I feel that each sculpture is successful when I begin to see the character and spirit of the piece starting to come alive.' The eighteen life-like works on show include roe and red deer, hares, sheep and an otter, fox and highland cow. The exhibition is open to visitors between normal garden opening hours, 10am – 6pm, from 17 August to 1 November. Garden admission is required but Members go free. All of the pieces exhibited are available for purchase. Special seasonal prices have been introduced for daytime garden admission so if you book in advance online, you save. Remember too that well-behaved dogs on short, fixed leads are welcome at RHS Rosemoor every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so you have an opportunity for an inspiring dog walk!

RHS Glow

27 Nov 2026 - 27 Dec 2026

This winter, RHS Rosemoor is pulling out the stops for the 10th anniversary of RHS Glow which returns to transform the gardens once again with enchanting, illuminated trails, spectacular light and sound installations, and interactive experiences. Taking place on selected dates between 27 November 2026 and 30 December, this year’s illuminations promise a spectacular after dark experience with a re-imagined route through the gardens and eight brand new installations. Visitors can admire an ancient oak dramatically defined by neon lines as they wander through the recently renovated Winter Garden. In the Formal Gardens, a path of glowing daisies will lead explorers on to a spectacular ‘field of poppies’ before entering the Devon Heritage Orchard for the first time. An illuminated water feature will create a dramatic focal point with beautiful reflections in the lake before the route reaches the famous Long Borders. Here, an interactive light and sound installation designed to be explored through movement, can be discovered. Eight illuminated floor buttons respond to footsteps with shifting colour and musical notes, creating a full octave of sound and a spectrum of light. Designed to be walked, jumped, and danced across, ‘Octave’ encourages instinctive play for everyone. Whether you want to test your sense of rhythm or channel your inner Fred Astaire, it’s a joyful experience. Huge, illuminated dandelions provide a final photo opportunity and striking finale to the trail. For those looking for an extra special Christmas night out, RHS Garden Rosemoor will also host a Silent Disco for RHS Glow visitors on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th December. With two sessions scheduled per night, visitors of all ages can enjoy both the atmospheric trail and an evening of music and dancing in the spacious Garden Room (additional booking required).
