Enjoy the newly restored town hall building and explore new spaces and places, previously closed to the public. Join us on a tour and learn all about the fascinating facts of the town hall’s past. Younger guests can enjoy family fun trails through the building and interactive displays in our new exhibition space. There’s lots of rooms available for private hire and a brand new community space, the Bright Hall. This tour takes guests into the most stunning areas of the Victorian building, including the Great Hall, the Mayor’s Parlour and the former Magistrates Retiring Room. Travel down the little corridors, see a different side to the Town Hall and enjoy a 15 minute organ recital on the famous J.J. Binns organ. There are chairs in most rooms for guests who may need to sit down. The Martlet Kitchen is also on hand, serving up locally inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
