Levitation Room

Levitation Room

27 Jun 2026 - 27 Jun 2026

Extra Terrestrial Promotions & Velvet Echoes Presents Levitation Room With Special Guests Cruush and Wyrd Mons At Rough Trade Bristol Sat 27th June 2026 Extra Terrestrial Promotions & Velvet Echoes are proud to present Californian psych-rockers Levitation Room. Birthed from the same LA scene responsible for the likes of Ty Segall, Osees and Frankie & The Witch Fingers, Levitation Room conjure dreamy, lofi and luscious soundscapes which have earned them a global reputation, characterised by tours with Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Post Animal, appearances at Desertdaze and Austin Psych fest, and releases with Greenway Records - a perfect portfolio for the contemporary psych outfit. Special guests on the evening are Manchester based alt-rockers Cruush, making a swift name for themselves with their fuzzed out and grungy soundscapes. Levitation Room East Los Angeles quartet Levitation Room’s floaty, cosmic songs are always a trip. Since forming nearly a decade ago, they’ve self-produced dizzying, otherworldly music that’s connected with fellow travelers in the hallucinogenic world of outré rock music. Led by singer and guitarist Julian Porte along with founding members Gabriel Fernandez (lead guitar) and Johnathan Martin (percussion), the band has enchanted live audiences at Desert Daze and on tour with like-minded groups Post Animal and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets. The band’s vivid sound has found them placed on popular playlists like Modern Psychedelia and the legendary superproducer’s Danger Mouse Jukebox. Their 2015 debut, “Friends,” has surpassed 18 million streams. Joined by new member Kevin Perez (bass) in 2021, Levitation Room have continued to expand their colorful, unearthly sound, a process that has culminated with the vibrant new album Strange Weather. Collaborating with former Brian Jonestown Massacre keyboardist Rob Campanella, Jason Kick (Mild High Club), and Black Crowes’ Joel Robinow, Levitation Room take a new step in their story and vision with Strange Weather. The record’s lyrical narratives-about love in the park, life in the city, and the fact that “The world today is such an illusion”-are appropriately steeped in ’60s sonics and a dreamy, lo-fi atmosphere. It’s spacey, celestial guitar music for escaping into, and “it feels just like heaven.” Cruush The band comprise Amber Warren (lead vocals/guitar), Arthur Boyd (guitar), Fotis Kalantzis (drums), and Bruno Evans (bass). Broadcasters and journalists alike are enchanted, with Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6), Emily Pilbeam (BBC 6), John Kennedy (Radio X), The Independent, NYLON, NME, Brooklyn Vegan, DORK, DIY, So Young, The Line of Best Fit, Clash, Rough Trade and Consequences of Sound lining up to call themselves fans. Likewise, their peers are equally captivated, earning the outfit tours and shows with BDRMM, Pale Blue Eyes, NewDad, GIFT, BASHT and Girl Scout. The pervasive gloaming of Manchester’s suburbs is present in cruush’s sonic DNA. Yet there’s more to their sound, an evolutionary gear shift that has ushered in a new era of tightly wound grunge-pop ragers. To enact the change, they enlisted the help of producer Owen Turner at Sickroom Studios in Norfolk (whose most recent credits include the last two Brownhorse records). Cruush’s sound is potent and tender, and sincere to the point of snot-crying. Or as the band themselves put it, “gross, awkward but pretty fucking rockin’!” Its music forged in the drudgery of service jobs and rainy Manchester nights, buried in cosy blankets of indie-rock fuzz, yet somehow sprouting through the rusty layers of sheet metal that should prevent it from blooming. Collectively, they have a kind of sonic survival instinct. “Over the last 12 months, we’ve had a lot of letdowns. We felt it was a pretty dull year with creative setbacks. However, it made us realise how much we can depend on each other. That’s how a band should be.” And quite honestly, that is how a band should be. Input promoter here 14+ (Under 16s with Adult)

Bristol Song Circle: James Walsh (starsailor), Melody Pool, Thaime
Bristol Song Circle Presents After the success of our sell-out first night back in April, Bristol Song Circle returns to Rough Trade this summer. In a seated and cosy setting, songs will be stripped-back and shared, with the stories of how they were written woven in between. It is the sound of songwriters talking shop, swapping ideas, and keeping the troubadour spirit alive. James Walsh will be bringing his deeply personal, emotionally resonant songwriting to the stage. As frontman of Starsailor, he rose to prominence in the early 2000s with a run of acclaimed releases, including their Platinum-selling debut Love Is Here, and a string of hit singles. That success forms the backdrop to Walsh’s solo work, which takes a more intimate, stripped-back approach. His recent album It’s All Happening, draws on a range of inspirations while retaining the emotional directness that has long defined his songwriting - making this an opportunity to experience his music in its most immediate form. Little Boots is the project of Victoria Hesketh - the singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ behind some of electro-pop's most recognisable late-2000s moments. Her debut album "Hands" and global smash "Remedy" made an immediate impact. Now fiercely independent and with new music expected this year, we have a unique chance to hear her stripped-back and close-up. Melody Pool joins us all the way from Australia. Returning in 2025 with her long-awaited album Our Eternal Garden, she channels grief, healing, and curiosity into a body of work that expands her distinctive psychedelic-folk sound. With songs that feel both intimate and exploratory, her performance offers a rare chance to experience this new chapter up close. We will also be welcoming Thaime. A talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from BIMM Bristol, they channel dark grooves, tangy strums, emotional awareness, and soft vocals, into an alternative folk style inspired by artists such as Bon Iver, Saya Gray, and Mac DeMarco. Think of it as wandering into a private jam session, pulling up a chair, and staying a whole lot longer than planned. Bristol Song Circle 14+ (Under 16s with Adult)

She's Green

She's Green

27 Aug 2026 - 4 Sept 2026

Minneapolis band she’s green describe themselves as “moss music”. Inspired as much by J.R.R. Tolkien and Hayao Miyazaki as by Slowdive and the Cocteau Twins, the band - consisting of Liam Armstrong, Zofia Smith, Raines Lucas, Kevin Seebeck and Teddy Nordvold - aim to create their own musical and visual world defined by dreamy fantasy, emotional openness and sonic depth. In 2023 she’s green released their debut EP, Wisteria, which included the viral hit “Mandy,” and in 2025 they released the follow-up EP, Chrysalis. It builds on the shimmering shoegaze and dream-pop of Wisteria, with ever more irresistible melodies and deeper songcraft. “We wanted to expand the scope of what we did with the first EP, and see how far we could push either side of the music - whether it’s harsh and jarring or it’s inviting and warm,” Armstrong says. And as they win over fans everywhere they go with their authentic, loving approach to their sound, it’s clear that this huge year for she’s green is only the beginning.

Gotobeat Presents deary With Special Guests At Rough Trade Bristol September 3rd 2026 Comprised of London/Brighton based musicians Dottie Cockram, Ben Easton and Harry Catchpole, deary released their debut single, ‘Fairground’ back in January 2023 via Sonic Cathedral. Since then they have reached #1 in the UK Vinyl Singles charts, supported Slowdive and Cranes and worked with the likes of Saint Etienne and The Murder Capital. They have released two EPs to date; deary (2023) and Aurelia (2024), which were universally praised by the likes of BBC 6 Music, NME, Stereogum, Clash and Brooklyn Vegan. They create wistful dream pop, with a wide range of influences from shoegaze to trip hop and have been described as “masters of orchestrating a mood” (DIY). With their debut album Birding, London dreampop trio have purposely evolved their sound, opting for starker lyrics and heavier instrumentation than on their previous releases. They chose the title to draw attention to the direct impact humans have on the world around us, whether that be nature, or ourselves. Despite some of the heavy subject matter, the album aims to give the listener a moment to pause, reflect, recalibrate and remind oneself of all the good, happiness and love that can easily be forgotten in everyday life. The importance of protecting the inner child or someone more vulnerable, holding hands, learning from past mistakes. Across 11 tracks that run the gamut from ocean-deep shoegaze riffs to cloud-light sprinkles of ethereal indie, Birding is the sound of a band who have definitively found their groove. Untitled

Untitled

2 Sept 2026 - 2 Sept 2026

Metropolis Music Presents Untitled With Special Guests At Rough Trade Bristol Wednesday 2nd September 2026 West L.A. alt-rock band untitled taps into the raw spirit of ’90s punk, grunge, and alternative while channeling the gritty, youthful DIY energy of the Los Angeles Sound. Built on distorted guitars, heavy grooves, and rapturous hooks, their music blends classic grunge attitude with a sharp modern alt-rock edge. Emerging from the garages and backyard shows of the West Los Angeles scene, untitled has been delivering sweat-drenched live sets across every corner of the city-from backyards to frat houses, garages and dive bars. Capturing that same chaos and electricity in the studio, the band has laid down a collection of songs that mirror the live-wire energy, DIY ethos, and melodic tension they were born from. That momentum is already spilling beyond the backyards. Their debut single “Restless,” released in November 2025 has already racked up over 40 million streams since release. For the band, the stats are more about a connection. A band proving the voice of the youth still runs through distorted amps and late-night garage sessions. The result is a sound that feels both nostalgic and immediate-modern indie with unapologetic, grunge-soaked guitars and a pulse rooted firmly in the underground. Asher White

29 Oct 2026 - 4 Nov 2026

Asher White’s music is a complex and heartfelt reaction to the churn of our modern world. With tender intimacy and resounding anxiety, White takes a wide view through the lens of her own queer sexual politics and transgender identity; what does it mean to renew, to progress, to transform? What is lost, gained, or irreversibly altered? At 22 years old, White has developed a massive self-released discography: over a dozen albums since 2015, each one started the moment the last one was finished. New Excellent Woman is a distillation of these experiments and discoveries, a new achievement in songwriting that stands astride the cracks in the earth and lopsided ground. Songs jump between styles like a pubescent sex drive, all locked together by White’s ability to pull melody out of chaos. Presented by JOY. 18+

Inspired by the 2016 surge of Southern California’s DIY indie-rock community in conjunction with the synchronous SoundCloud era of underground rap, 60juno came to life in the isolated bedroom of a lonely teen stuck in 2020 quarantine. Upon realizing that creating his own music wasn’t as far out of reach as he once thought, the independent musician became the driving force behind the bass, drums, guitar and vocals that can be heard on each of his tracks. 60juno takes the usual wistful, dreamy aspect of DIY indie-rock a step further into post-punk territory with heightened energy and rough, low vocals thrown on top. This merge has resulted in a blend of his own creation that sets him apart as he continues to establish a notable sound worth remembering. Presented by JOY.. This is an 18+ event

The Haunted Youth

The Haunted Youth

28 Nov 2026 - 5 Dec 2026

What a year it’s been for The Haunted Youth! And the best is yet to come for the band centred around Joachim Liebens (29) with the release of debut album ‘Dawn Of The Freak’ on November 4, marking the pinnacle of a dazzling ride that started in the spring of 2021. The Haunted Youth became indie darlings in Belgium and The Netherlands from the very first single they released. And what’s more, early singles like ‘Coming Home’ and ‘Gone’ also attracted attention in the UK and US straight away, earning praise from such big names as Consequence and NME. The Haunted Youth even made ‘Song of the Day’ (‘Coming Home’) and went in heavy rotation (‘Broken’) on influential radio stations such as KEXP and KCRW. Furthermore, the band gained international Spotify support, featuring on several playlist covers both in Belgium and internationally. This is an 18+ event.
