Join our enthusiastic and friendly team of guides for a walk from RSPB Pagham Harbour Visitor Centre towards Church Norton. It is an exciting time of change with our winter visitors being replaced with our summer birds who are getting ready for breeding in the habitats in and around the harbour. Birds such as Skylarks, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff and Blackcap in the fields, trees and hedges with our beach nesting birds such as Avocet, Ringed Plover, Shelduck and Oyster Catcher to look out for. Not to mention the reed bed nesting birds - there is a lot to look out for.

This all-day workshop provides an introduction to the key principles and techniques for Nature and also Close-up/Macro photography. The workshop will combine theory with opportunities to put into practice what you have learnt regarding camera settings and image composure on our beautiful reserve. During the practical session walks there will hopefully be opportunities for you to try and capture images of Bees, Dragonflies, Insects and Orchids in addition to birds around the reserve.

There are so many fascinating creatures that lurk and hunt in and around our lovely ponds and Discovery Zone. E Explore the amazing underwater world and delve into life in the undergrowth to discover the hidden critters that live on the reserve, before getting crafty with your own pond design.
Guided Walk: Experience the Dawn Chorus
Join in International Dawn Chorus weekend as we help you decipher this spring phenomenon. Close your eyes and soak up the sound of the birdsong as it gathers from a single voice into the crescendo of a full orchestra. Our experts will help you pick out the individual virtuosos and learn recognise their particular songs that together, make up this wonderful dawn soundscape. After sunrise, we'll finish off with a well-deserved breakfast of croissants and hot drinks.

Join us for an evening stroll along the North Wall of our reserve. We'll watch the birds coming in to roost and as the sun sets we'll turn on our bat-detectors to discover which bats call this part of Pagham Harbour their home. We'll even decipher a little of what they are saying as we listen in on their batty conversation!

Join our enthusiastic and friendly team of guides for a walk from Earnley Car Park to the Slit Pool and beach through the RSPB's Medmerry Reserve created in 2011. It is an exciting time with our summer birds breeding in the habitats created in the reserve. Birds such as Skylarks, Whitethroat, Chiffchaff, Dartford Warbler and Yellowhammer in the fields, trees and hedges with our beach nesting birds such as Avocet, Ringed Plover, Shelduck and Oyster Catcher to look out for. Not to mention the reed bed nesting birds - there is a lot to look out for.

Join us for a brew and chance to encounter these fascinating insects. There are over 2500 species of moth in the UK and they come in all shapes, sizes and colours. Some have the most incredible camouflage, while others are brighter and bolder than butterflies. We'll be introducing you to some of these marvellous creatures when we open our trap and there will be opportunities for photographs too.
