The List

Scala

Designed by H Courtney Constantine the Kings Cross Cinema first opened its doors in 1920. Renamed Scala in 1981 it soon became the home of London's coolest cult cinema club, unfortunately after losing a court case over screening Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange (which was still banned at the time) the cinema was forced to close in 1993. After a complete refurbishment it reopened in 1999 as a club and gig space in the heart of London. Boasting three bars, two dancefloors and a stage with regular club nights and an impressive line-up of live music. Everyone from Coldplay and Foo Fighters to Robbie Williams and Dido have since graced the stage at Scala. Please note all shows at Scala are 18+ unless otherwise stated. Scala is three minutes walk from Kings Cross St Pancreas train station; bus numbers 30, 73, 214, 10, 17, 45, 46, 63, 91 and 259 all stop near the venue.

Full of Hell

Full of Hell

7 Apr 2026 - 12 Apr 2026

In certain circles, Full of Hell needs no introduction. This young band has made a name for themselves in a short amount of time, racking up a prolific touring and release history while exploring a gamut of sounds within the spectrum of extreme and avante garde music. Formed in 2009, the embryonic beginnings of Full of Hell display their palette at it’s most primitive, d-beat and blast ridden hardcore punk with spats of noise and caustic rhythm, and within a few short years, they have bloomed into a true force to be reckoned with within the punk and metal communities.

Yellow Days

Yellow Days

4 May 2026 - 10 May 2026

George van den Broek aka Yellow Days is a teenager hailing from the town of Haslemere, England. The 18 year old sings like a 300 year wizard and sits perfectly next to 70's soul greats. Peppered with winding, magical mystery tour-like interludes, debut album Is Everything Ok In Your World? is as complete a statement as they come, and presents an artist with - what you’d expect - is almost a frightening level of ideas and creativity up his sleeve. It’s clear that traditional genre boundaries mean little to van den Broek, and it makes the record a refreshing melting pot of jazz, indie, soul and beyond. It’s an incredibly conscious album, tackling battles amongst friends, strangers and himself with the upmost care. In a world increasingly anxious and disconnected, the compassion and care of Yellow Days is something to treasure.

Weatherday

Weatherday

20 May 2026 - 30 May 2026

Hornet Disaster, Weatherday’s follow-up to their 2019 debut Come in, and spiritual successor to 2022’s collab release Weatherglow, is their most expansive work to date. In Weatherday’s initial bout of inspired writing and recording, they produced over 70 songs for the record, but not before they had a complete, overarching narrative that was coherently tied back to Sputnik’s previous work. Like its predecessor Come in, Weatherday’s Hornet Disaster lurches instantly into a caustic title track. The overture is signature Weatherday - urgent, noisy, erratic, and playful - but also hints at shifts in songwriting and production. Lead single “Angel,” backed with “Heartbeats,” demonstrates this evolution in a snappy, springy emo anthem, while its counterpart calls on longtime influence The Knife in a slinky, downtempo curio that pushes the Weatherday sonic universe in an unexpected direction. The movement, color, and form of hornets are meticulously threaded throughout the album’s nineteen song tracklist, with hectic melody and unpredictable turns giving way to various forays: a tribute to Swedish winter in Weatherday’s first official song in Swedish (“Pulka”); the use of renaissance flute (“Green Tea Seaweed Sea”); and the folktronica experimentalism of third single “Ripped Apart By Hands.”

Chiara Oliver

Chiara Oliver

24 Apr 2026 - 24 Apr 2026

Planet Funk

Planet Funk

12 May 2026 - 12 May 2026

Formed in 1999, Planet Funk have been a key force in the international electronic and dance music scene for 25 years, thanks to their distinctive collective nature and the success they’ve achieved over the years. The group was born from the merger of Souled Out! (Domenico “GG” Canu and Sergio Della Monica) and Kamasutra (Marco Baroni and Alex Neri). The band’s name, Planet Funk, comes from an old song written by Alex Neri himself. With the 2002 release of Non Zero Sumness, the band achieved widespread success, crowned by the Italian Music Awards and a gold record. The 2003 edition, Non Zero Sumness Plus One, also featured One Step Closer, a song written in collaboration with Jim Kerr, lead singer of Simple Minds. Planet Funk were the only Italian band invited by the BBC in London to perform live on Radio One from the legendary Abbey Road Studios. In 2005, they released the album The Illogical Consequence, preceded by the single Stop Me, which was featured in a Coca-Cola TV commercial. Their third album, Static, was released in 2006, with the title track included in the soundtrack of the popular video game FIFA 2008. In 2009, the band released the compilation album Planet Funk, featuring the single Lemonade and marking a return to the electro-rock sound that had brought them international recognition. Released on September 20, 2011, The Great Shake marked Planet Funk’s return to original material after five years. The album was preceded by the single Another Sunrise, which quickly became one of the summer hits of 2011 and was chosen by Hyundai for a global advertising campaign. The album also introduced the vocals of charismatic singer Alex Uhlmann, expanding the band’s sonic identity. The winter hit These Boots Are Made for Walkin’, featured in the film La Kryptonite nella borsa by director Ivan Cotroneo, was later chosen by Wind for commercials starring Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo, and by RAI as the soundtrack for the Euro 2012 Football Championship. In March 2012, The Great Shake +2 was released, adding the cover of These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ and a new version of Ora il mondo è perfetto, featuring a special appearance by Giuliano Sangiorgi of Negramaro. That same year, Planet Funk became brand ambassadors for Reebok, which launched a dedicated Classic Leather capsule collection. In October 2015, the hit We-People was released and chosen by Save the Children as the soundtrack for its solidarity campaign. Shortly after, the band released Revelation, marking the return of Dan Black, whose voice also features on Non Stop, the single that launched Planet Funk’s acclaimed Recall Tour (2017-2018), bringing together Dan Black, Alex Uhlmann, and Sally Doherty on stage. In 2018, guitarist and co-founder Sergio Della Monica sadly passed away. That same year, Planet Funk released the single All on Me and debuted a new live show featuring Alex Neri, Marco Baroni, and Dan Black, blending sound and visuals in a highly immersive and dance-driven format. In 2020, the band celebrated its 20th anniversary with the concept album 20:20, featuring fully remastered versions of their greatest hits - including Chase the Sun, Who Said, Inside All the People, and Another Sunrise - at Abbey Road Studios, along with a previously unreleased version of Non Stop. On January 6, 2023, Planet Funk released The World’s End, followed in June by Any Given Day, which became the soundtrack for a Vodafone commercial. On December 27, 2024, they released Nights in White Satin, a Planet Funk-style reinterpretation of the 1967 classic by The Moody Blues. Riding the song’s success, in February 2025 they appeared as special guests on the final night of the Sanremo Music Festival, performing a medley of their greatest hits. On June 6, 2025, just days after the untimely passing of their beloved partner Domenico “GG” Canu, the band released I Get a Rush, dedicated to him. The summer of 2025 saw Planet Funk touring extensively across Italy and internationally, alongside the release of a remix of Alfa’s A me mi piace (featuring Manu Chao), followed in September by a collaboration with Francesca Michielin on È naturale. These releases confirm Planet Funk’s ability to continuously evolve and connect with different musical worlds while staying true to their identity. The year closed with the announcement of their new album “BLOOOM”, scheduled for release on January 16, 2026. Presented by GOTOBEAT. This is an 18+ event

Two years ago, Declan J Donovan uploaded a home-recorded demo of a track called Fallen So Young to his SoundCloud. At the time, he was blissfully unaware that this would be the initial springboard for his fledgling music career. Written originally to be the best man speech at his Brother’s wedding, Declan wanted to give the song a life outside the confines of the wedding day. To his surprise, the song began to click with a few more people than he’d originally envisaged. With a string of gorgeous soulful singles, the singer/songwriter is clearly heading in the right direction.

Boy Kill Boy

Boy Kill Boy

29 Oct 2026 - 29 Oct 2026

Boy Kill Boy formed in 2004 and from there things moved pretty quickly. They were the first band ever to play at Wireless Festival, played several dates on the NME New Bands tour, opened the Radio 1 stage at the Reading and Leeds festival, and toured with Hard-Fi. All of that and a couple of singles on Fierce Panda later, the band signed to Vertigo Records (Universal Music). It was a bit of a rollercoaster, with a top thirty single (Back Again), a top twenty single (Suzie), tours with Echo & The Bunnymen and The Charlatans in the US, another NME New Bands tour (as headliners this time), a session with Jo Whiley for the Radio 1 Live Lounge, another appearance at Reading and Leeds festival and even an appearance on Top of The Pops. The First album, CIVILIAN, recorded in Sawmills with legendary producer John Cornfield was released in May 2006, reaching number 16 in the UK charts. Album two was recorded in LA with Dave Sardy (Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, and so many more bands). The band supported the release by touring extensively around the UK, with festival appearances at both V and Camden Crawl, gigged with The Kooks and The Enemy, and performed live on Dermot O'Leary's Radio 2 show. It was a bit of a whirlwind and the band called it a day in 2008. So they returned for 2 intimate shows in 2016 to say goodbye, or so they thought... But now twenty years after the release of CIVILIAN, Boy Kill Boy will be coming Back (Again) to celebrate the album together once again. The band will play a headline show at Scala in Kings Cross on October 29th 2026. Presented by Crosstown Concerts. This is a 16+ event

Pig Destroyer

Pig Destroyer

13 Nov 2026 - 13 Nov 2026

Virginia extreme sound nihilists PIG DESTROYER deliver savage grindcore that is both intentionally confrontational and thoroughly pummeling. PIG DESTROYER formed in 1997, when vocalist J.R. Hayes and AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED guitarist Scott Hull decided to unite in their efforts to create utterly destructive grindcore. The trio began rehearsing and immediately found that their common musical interests produced intelligent and incendiary music. This lineup meshed well and recorded their self-titled demo, which met to a rousing response. PIG DESTROYER was growing in name and sound, a CD entitled 'Explosions in Ward 6' was released. Great reaction to the 'Explosions in Ward 6' album established PIG DESTROYER as one of the best new grind acts to emerge worldwide in the last decade. Relapse signed the band and in 2001 PIG DESTROYER took listeners on a rampaging journey through an unsettling, psychotic world with their album, 'Prowler In The Yard.' Melding an insane musical attack with similarly jarring lyrical prose and an unmatched propensity to incite, 'Prowler In The Yard' hit listeners like a coal-black monolith of nihilism. The record stunned music fans, garnering lavishing praise, and becoming one of the more talked about extreme music releases in recent history. Headlining performances at the 2002 New England Metal and Hardcore Festival and 2002 Relapse Records CMJ Showcase, alongside a hi-profile set at the Relapse Records Contamination Festival in Philadelphia, cemented PIG DESTROYER place among the new goliaths of heavy music. PIG DESTROYER then continued work on the follow-up to 'Prowler In The Yard.' In what would turn out to be an exhausting, lengthy creative process, the band assumed the ambitious goal of creating a multi-media monster (CD / Audio-DVD package) with their next release. Choosing to name the album 'Terrifyer,' the album saw its release in the Fall of 2004, embodying a frighteningly compelling mix of metal, grind, thrash and punk rock that seethes with intensity. PIG DESTROYER's vicious attack set out to envelop the listener in a cocoon of grisly nihilism. 'Terrifyer' featured 32 minutes of unrelenting sonic battery as well as the 37-minute Audio-DVD track "Natasha," mixed in glorious 5.1 Surround Sound. 2007 saw the release of Phantom Limb, which received acclaim from critics and listeners worldwide, cementing their legendary status. For the album, the band drew inspiration from all that was around them and with it, PIG DESTROYER boil metal down to its muscle, sinew, and bone - razor-sharp guitar, percussive pummeling, and a lone, stark howl. Upon the album's release, PIG DESTROYER embarked on their first Australia headlining tour with BLOOD DUSTER, TERRORUST, FUCK I'M DEAD along with a US tour featuring shows with CARCASS, SUFFOCATION, MISERY INDEX, GENGHIS TRON and CAR BOMB. In 2009, the band made festival appearances at Hellfest, Maryland Deathfest, CMJ Fest, and Scion Rock Fest. Skinnyman (live) - Love In The House

Skinnyman (live) - Love In The House

26 Jun 2026 - 26 Jun 2026

Born Alex Holland in Leeds, Skinnyman is one of the few British emcees that needs almost no introduction. Moving as a kid to Finsbury Park, North London, Skinny found a melting pot of cultures suddenly on his doorstep and immersed himself in the musical culture of reggae and dancehall. Highly influenced by Leroy, Chas and fast tongue-talking Papa San, he was introduced to rap at a very early age. While watching the first rappers such as Electro Ascension, Wiggy Wiggy, Grandmaster, Melle Mel and Furious Five, he immediately realized he had been built for that. When he was about 7, he had to do a school play and decided to write his own script for his part. He built himself a Rubik”s cube, put on a Rubik”s cube costume and did a rap about the Rubik”s cube and the mathematical structures of it. That was the first time he was onstage doing a rap. Thank to his distinctive voice, Skinny easily progressed through open mic battles and consistently won titles around London. After becoming a founding member of The Bury Crew, in the early 90”s skinnyman moved on to establish by himself the seminal Mud Family alongside Mongo and Chester P with whom he released lots of EPs. These included the underground hits “Itchy Town” and “Lash Suttin”, a reworking of Redman”s “Smash Something”. One of the best Hip Hop crews in England whether on vinyl, on stage freestyling or battling other MCs, the Mud Fam expanded with new members joining and Chester P splitting to form Task Force with his brother Farma G. Shortly after, Skinny signed a deal with Talkin” Loud and completed a handful of album tracks whilst at the label. However, before the album was finished Skinny was sent to jail for 9 months for distribution of marijuana. Naturally talented for rapping and writing lyrics, his reputation has grown even bigger for being in trouble with the police, since Skinny believes in the good of marijuana and is an active promoter of its use. While he was inside, Talkin Loud was shut down by its parent company, freeing skinnyman from his contract. After the period of incarceration, released his masterful solo debut album, “Council Estate of Mind”, with a deal via Low Life Records in 2004. Well received by fans and critics as the highest new entry in the UK”s charts on the week of its release, heavily autobiographical and socially analytical, the album makes much use of samples from “Made in Britain”, a British film from the early 80s. Since the album”s release, skinnyman received considerable attention from UK hip hop radio and press, had the opportunity to work with grime artists such as Wiley and Shystie and supported The Streets at Brixton Academy. He even won in a rapping contest in London”s Subterranea against Eminem. In 2004, he was featured in “Tower Block Dreams”, a BBC documentary. In 2005, he played a small part in the interactive TV series “Dubplate Drama” and released two singles, “Forever Rangers” and “Holla/None Of Them”. On July 6, 2006 skinnyman played live on the night of DMC DJ Championship 2006 UK Final and Battle for UK Supremacy at The Hammersmith Palais. Few days after, he released the expected “DMC”s fifth Champion Sounds” album, the series that in the past has featured Roc Raida, the Mixologists, DJ Skully and Plus One. Presented by Koreema.
