The List

Scala

Designed by H Courtney Constantine the Kings Cross Cinema first opened its doors in 1920. Renamed Scala in 1981 it soon became the home of London's coolest cult cinema club, unfortunately after losing a court case over screening Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange (which was still banned at the time) the cinema was forced to close in 1993. After a complete refurbishment it reopened in 1999 as a club and gig space in the heart of London. Boasting three bars, two dancefloors and a stage with regular club nights and an impressive line-up of live music. Everyone from Coldplay and Foo Fighters to Robbie Williams and Dido have since graced the stage at Scala. Please note all shows at Scala are 18+ unless otherwise stated. Scala is three minutes walk from Kings Cross St Pancreas train station; bus numbers 30, 73, 214, 10, 17, 45, 46, 63, 91 and 259 all stop near the venue.

Flavia Coelho

Flavia Coelho

23 Sept 2025 - 23 Sept 2025

Flavia Coelho: Flavia has travelled many of the world’s roads. From Rio de Janeiro’s Favela ‘morros’ to the storied streets of Paris, this nomad feels at home wherever she’s made welcome. Her current refuge and home-from-home is a cosy retreat where she can transform, chrysalis-like, to emerge with a fully-formed new album: GINGA. Funk, house, Latin American, samba, reggae and amapiano, in ‘GINGA’, Flavia Coelho fuses genres and heritages, orchestrated with varying degrees of sensuality and vibrancy, the fruit of over a hundred hours of recording. For the first time, Flavia Coelho has entrusted the mixing of her album to renowned collaborators, as if she needed to entrust her work to them and take a step back to give a whole new dimension to the songs that are so close to her. Tom Fire, Prince Fatty, Paul from Synapson and Guts were given the delicate task of mixing the final version of the album. Flavia takes flight and takes us on a journey, from Brazil to London via Provence, Paris and everywhere in between. ‘GINGA’ is a sharpened set of legs that takes us through the sound system of Flavia Coelho's life, while continuing to accompany our own. Prince Fatty: Prince Fatty delivers characterful takes on old-school reggae, soul and Latin grooves. He is based in London and loves to work with people all over the world. Fatty is the creation of music producer and engineer Michael Pelanconi - the artist name a nod to that giant of Jamaican sound King Tubby. Presented by GOTOBEAT. This is a 16+ event

Avalanche Recordings and Mythology Agency Proudly Present GODFLESH Live Join us on Thursday, 30th October 2025 at Scala, London, when GODFLESH will unleash their legendary "In Dub" live show for the first time since 1997. This special two-show evening will feature a one-of-a-kind performance of their 'In Dub' body of work alongside a notoriously destructive, signature show. Reflecting on the mystique surrounding their 1997 performance, Justin Broadrick shares, “There’s only ever been one real advertised dub show, and it was in 1997 in London, just after the release of 'Love and Hate in Dub'. Unfortunately, that night was ill-fated due to the backing tape machine blowing up at soundcheck. The night was cobbled together last minute and somehow just about worked. Now, for the first time ever since then, GODFLESH will be presented in dub, live on stage, with me taking to live dub mixing from the stage, in tandem with vocals and guitar." Welly is an extraordinary character with a remarkable literary way of describing himself, his band and society. Nekrogoblikon

Nekrogoblikon

17 Sept 2025 - 30 Sept 2025

The self-proclaimed "Kings of Goblin Metal," Los Angeles, California's Nekrogoblikon are melodic hard rock pranksters who deploy gnarly death metal earworms filled with crafty hooks, claw-pumping choruses, lightning-fast riffs, and over the top, EDM-style keyboard flourishes. With their ostentatious goblin hypeman John Goblikon, the band takes cues from hyperbolic horror-metal enthusiasts like GWAR, Finntroll, and Dethklok, while maintaining an affable, self-referential sense of humor. The group's early outings, like 2007's Goblin Island, were largely low-fidelity affairs, but by the early 2010s Nekrogoblikon were operating at a far higher technical level, and employing a rotating cast of talented players. Founded in 2006 by Nicky Calonne(vocals, keyboards) and Tim Lyakhovetskiy (guitar), the duo self-produced their debut album, the relatively lo-fi Goblin Island, in Lyakhovetskiy's basement. The LP was released in 2007, and an expanded lineup was quickly assembled to help flesh out the fledgling group's audacious live shows. The more technically proficient Stench arrived in 2011, and included the single "No One Survives" -- the video became a viral hit. The Power EP was issued the following year, and in 2014 the band joined Limp Bizkit, Crossfaith, and HECK on the Kerrang! Tour. In 2015 they released the concept LP Heavy Meta via their own Mystery Box label, and in 2018 Nekrogoblikon issued their fourth studio long-player, Welcome to Bonkers.

Grandbrothers

Grandbrothers

26 Feb 2026 - 26 Feb 2026

Erol Sarp and Lukas Vogel met while studying audio and video engineering in Düsseldorf. The two started to work on a project that combined both sarp’s piano skills and vogel’s passion for programming and mechanical apparatus. And that’s when grandbrothers started. The concept has been the same since day one: how far can you go by using only one single instrument? That’s why every single sound you hear on any grandbrothers track comes from the same source: the grand piano. Limiting themselves has been pushing the creative boundaries of sarp and vogel for more than a decade now and the two are sure that there’s much more to be found, written, recorded and performed.Apart from working in the studio to find new ways of creating sounds with their very unique approach, touring and performing live is a totally different thrill. A Grandbrothers show is an audio-visual experience for both the performers and the audience. Their unseen "four-handed approach" and the emotional, melodic and even danceable merge of analogue and electronic sounds allowed Grandbrothers to perform on stages, clubs and philharmonic halls all across Europe ever since.

Cuco

Cuco

4 Feb 2026 - 4 Feb 2026

(May 9, 2025) - Cuco releases new album Ridin' via Interscope Records. Ridin’ navigates themes of heartbreak, joy, and personal history while embracing moments of sweet romance resulting in Cuco’s most ambitious and emotionally resonant work to date. The album follows Cuco’s On The Radar session of album track “Walk The Way” that went live earlier this week. Ridin’ also includes previous singles “Para Ti,” a song about unrequited love, “Phases,” “ICNBYH” and "My 45" featuring Jean Carter, which honor the classic soul sounds that have influenced Cuco's musical journey while reflecting elements of his Chicano heritage. Cuco shares, “You can’t do soul unless you love it unless you put in the time,” he says. “I have elevated my sound and my voice enough now that I can move away from the abstraction of synthesizers and just rely on my vocals, melodies, and moods.” Ridin’ features production from Tom Brenneck (Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse). Brenneck, known for his guitar work with Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Menahan Street Band, and contributions to Amy Winehouse's Back to Black, brings his vintage-meets-contemporary approach to the production. Together, Cuco and Brenneck craft an organic sound, with Cuco elevating his dreamy vocals an octave higher for a rich neo-falsetto. The presence of Los Angeles car culture is another consistent theme throughout the record and is embedded in the flow of the album. Cuco shares, "Everyone listens to music while driving-it's integral to your commute regardless of mood. You're moving through life's non-linear journey." Presented by Live Nation. This is a 16+ event

Full of Hell

Full of Hell

7 Apr 2026 - 12 Apr 2026

In certain circles, Full of Hell needs no introduction. This young band has made a name for themselves in a short amount of time, racking up a prolific touring and release history while exploring a gamut of sounds within the spectrum of extreme and avante garde music. Formed in 2009, the embryonic beginnings of Full of Hell display their palette at it’s most primitive, d-beat and blast ridden hardcore punk with spats of noise and caustic rhythm, and within a few short years, they have bloomed into a true force to be reckoned with within the punk and metal communities.
