In October 1980 three musicians took to the stage in their hometown of Bradford to play a gig under the name New Model Army. Led by frontman and songwriter Justin Sullivan, this was the start of a remarkable journey which, 40 years on, has seen New Model Army develop a fervent worldwide fanbase and reach multiple milestones of both creative and commercial success. Members have changed over the years and musical styles have evolved but at the heart of the band Justin has remained, along with a distinct and sincere belief in the power of music to inspire and effect change on a personal and political scale, both locally and globally.

All performances are accompanied by the English National Opera Orchestra. Based at the stunning Opera and Ballet State Theatre in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, this company of versatile and accomplished dancers (The New York Times) has soared under the bold artistic direction of world-renowned, Georgian-born Nina Ananiashvili, former prima ballerina with Bolshoi Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. The '60s group Manfred Mann is now considered, more than ever, one of the finest and most respected bands from that era. Their numerous hits were R&B based with an undercurrent of jazz - a very unusual but winning combination of playing style and substance. As a result, their records have a timeless quality and, some 55 years on, The Manfreds, with original front man, Paul Jones, will be performing many of their hits, including ‘Do Wah Diddy Diddy’, one of the most popular and instantly recognisable songs of the ‘60’s,and still the biggest audience pleaser at their concerts, along with a mix of Jazz and Blues covers and tracks from their individual solo albums. We are delighted to announce the return of the Legendary Scarborough Spa Orchestra. Celebrating their 113th year - continuing a seaside tradition which dates back to 1912. The Orchestra, will play seven concerts per week from Sunday to Wednesday, all within the magnificent Scarborough Spa. Morning concerts will bring a musical start to the day, running from Sundays to Wednesdays at 11.00am. The Orchestra will perform the perfect mix of the very best in light music within the elegant Sun Court Enclosure. Please Note: If the weather is inclement, the performance will take place inside in The Grand Hall. Mondays and Wednesdays will see the return of the popular evening orchestra concerts. Evening performances are presented in The Grand Hall at 7.45pm, with guest vocalists and special themed gala concerts on Wednesday evenings. The Orchestra’s popular Teddy Bears Picnic concerts, which introduce youngsters to the magic of music and musical instruments will be taking place Sunday afternoon at 2pm. These will also be in the Spa Sun Court enclosure, weather permitting. Scarborough Punk Festival returns to Scarborough Spa! 16 bands will perform at SPF2026, including The Casualties who are flying in from the US to headline the Saturday night as well as Sham-69 who will return to headline the Sunday. The Good The Bad and The Zugly as well as Booze & Glory will also fly into the UK to perform at next years festival!
