Along with his sensational live band, you will be taken on a musical journey spanning 50 years, when one of rock music’s greatest icons sold over 250 million records worldwide. These unforgettable hits include Sailing, Maggie May, Da Ya Think I’m Sexy, Some Guys Have All The Luck, Baby Jane, Rhythm Of My Heart, You Wear It Well, Hot Legs and many many more. Pete is a consummate professional, whose attention to detail shines through in every way, including stage presence and fabulous costumes. His vocal ability is unequalled and he has the closest voice in the business to the man himself. The Hull Daily Mail quoted on the 5th February 2020, “Pete McCall is the next best thing to seeing Rod himself”. Even the great Rod Stewart would be proud of the tribute paid to him by Pete McCall, in fact Rod’s sister Mary Cady, said to Pete “you were excellent”. At the show you could easily think you were at an actual Rod Stewart concert, where the atmosphere is electric and the audience are encouraged to participate, sing along and even dance in the aisles. Unlike the majority of other theatre productions that use backing tracks, the band play 100% live, which provides that authentic flavour Rod was famous for. Wherever the venue your audience will be guaranteed a night they will never forget and will feel as though they have not just seen a show, but have had “an experience”.

Alfie Moore: Acopalypse Now

17 Apr 2026 - 26 Nov 2026

The Four Horsemen of Rising Crime, Global Warming, AI and Culture Wars are galloping towards us. Are we on the road to hell? And can we avoid the potholes? In his brand new tour show 'Fair Cop' Alfie has the antidote to the breakdown of law and order, fake news and the price of baked beans. Somewhere in a parallel universe little Alfie’s natural comedic performance skills were recognised by his doting parents who encouraged and developed his blossoming talent. After several years as a stage school brat Alfie’s angelic face was launched on stage and screen and the rest is history. Meanwhile, in this universe Alfie Moore was told to stop messing about in class before being ‘encouraged’ into the grinding, grimy world of an apprenticeship in the Sheffield steelworks. When recession hit he traded steel for copper by joining Humberside Police. In his 40s the two universes collided when Alfie made a bid for showbiz success – but unfortunately 30 years of shift-work and being punched in the face quite a lot, had left him with ‘a face for radio’. A face not so much ‘lived in’ as inhabited by a settlement of squatters with little regard to property maintenance and repair.

Mikey Kenney

Mikey Kenney

3 Apr 2026 - 25 Apr 2026

Mikey Kenney is primarily a respected fiddle player, singer, songwriter and composer from Liverpool, but he is also a multi-instrumentalist, often performing many of the parts on his recordings (on banjo, mandolin, guitar, melodeon etc). Embracing duality, Kenney is very much the musical outsider artist; he is hailed by many as an important conduit of learning, conserving and handing down both English and Irish traditional fiddle music in England's Northwest (previously the musical director for the Lancashire Youth Folk Ensemble and currently the Vice-Chair at Comhaltas Liverpool) and yet he is constantly composing alternative and progressive music of his own with his last two releases Counsel of Owls and The Reverie Road receiving widespread acclaim (both 5/5 fRoots magazine). For Kenney both of these releases serve as stepping stones in his artistic disciplines, as he seeks a way to use his knowledge of traditional fiddle music in his own compositions without compromising the integrity of either. Through direct experience, Kenney allows other musical forms such as psychedelia, bluegrass, jazz and Italian tarantella to seep into his music but never so far as to allow any one influence to dominate his deep love for traditional fiddle playing. The result of crossing these stones is his forthcoming work Tiny Little Light, set to be released in September 2025. Tiny Little Light is, with the exception of two instrumentals, a collection of songs written around original fiddle tunes in keeping with traditional forms but progressive in their arrangement and instrumentation. Kenney considers it his finest work yet and the truest expression of a life devoted to his craft. He will spend 2025 celebrating this new material by performing it live accompanied by various ensembles including Michael Paul Metcalfe (drums), Awen Blandford (cello) and Andy Raven (guitar). Aside from his reputation for his original work, Kenney is also very much in demand as a collaborator and session musician for his fiddle-playing and string arranging and has worked with the likes of: Vinicio Capossela, Alabaster dePlume, Katherine Priddy, Josephine Foster, Bex Burch, Band of Burns, Adam Beattie, Emily Portman, Dominie Hooper, Victor Herrero, Alessandro 'Asso' Stefana, Dan Haywood's New Hawks, Liverpool Cil Band, Jon Wilks, Johnny Campbell and more.

Her debut album Weather Beaten (2019) was praised for its unique song-craft, spell-binding musicianship and crystal sonic clarity, as she brought together fans of music from all backgrounds and walks of life. This was followed by The Edge of the Land (2022), which reached #14 in the Official Folk Charts upon release. Brought to you by Scandimoot as part of our weekend event in the Dales www.scandimoot.org.ukStay on after the concert and join in a music and dance party with the course tutors and participants.' Emma Reid & Ellika Frisell: Deeply rooted in the Swedish fiddle tradition, Emma & Ellika play tunes and improvised second voices with power and variety. New compositions stand side by side with traditional material from Bingsj and Orsa in the county of Dalarna. Fiddles and re-tuned violas; voices with strongly personal expressions. Emma Reid, a star in the new generation of fiddlers, has roots in both the English and Swedish tradition and is now one of Swedens most sought-after musicians. With a powerful self-expression and experience from several genres, Emma has developed a deeply personal playing style. Ellika Frisell is a stubbornly curious, established veteran on the Swedish folk and world music scene. She has received much acclaim for her life work to further develop the living heritage from her teachers and, in 2021, was awarded the prestigious Folk Music Prize from the Swedish Royal Music Academy for her contributions to Swedish folk music. Jon Holmn grew up with the music of his home village of Boda and began playing fiddle at an early age. As a musician Jon enjoys all settings where the music becomes a way to express, communicate and socialize - from the stage to the living-room. He is highly regarded as a fiddler in the traditional music of Dalarna and is a sought-after teacher. Sven Ahlbck comes from northern Uppland in Sweden. He started playing the fiddle at a young age, learning from the legendary fiddler Anton Jernberg, who taught Sven a rich tradition of tunes from Gstrikland, which still is the core of Svens repertoire. Its old-fashioned music, full of quarter tones and shake strokes tunes as crooked as forest paths. He has been teaching with Ami Dregelid for twenty years, sharing with her a common fascination for the swinging qualities of the polska and the interaction between music and dance. Sven is regarded as one of Swedens leading fiddlers and, on artistic merits, Swedens first folk music professor. Ami Dregelid is known both as a dancer and a teacher and is an important role-model in todays folk dance scene. She has more than 30 years experience in folk dance education and her dancing and teaching have been very influential in the folk dance community, besides making a practical contribution to the development of folk dance. For Ami, the interaction between the music and the dancers is central and she has over many years developed methods to communicate this when she teaches. Andrew Parr trained as a dancer in Sweden and is also a talented musician. His teaching is both thorough and inspiring and he is currently involved in running Swedish dance workshops all over England.
