The Mourning After Annual Shakey Shindig
We're rather excited to announce our 11th Annual Shakey Shindig will take place on Saturday 8th November. As usual, as well us some boss garage fuzz from our good selves, the legend that is Graham Wright will be spinning top notch vinyl for your aural delight. We're also very pleased that the ace Velvet Tuxedo have agreed to be support. We saw them live recently and we're sure you'll love their blend of garage/psyche/freakbeat and R'n'B. So stick the date in your diary, physical or digital, and get a ticket bought. It's sold out every year, so don't hang about. See Ya there.

Harking back to the roots of country rock and blues, with touches of Lynryd Skynrd, Allman Brothers, Little Feat and the ’70s sound of Cash, Young and Dylan, they appeal to the contemporary Blackberry Smoke and Jason Isbell fan bases. They are one of the hardest working bands around, touring and recording their songs of life’s trials and triumphs, in a traditional line up of acoustic and electric guitars, drums and bass.
Edy Hurst: Wonderfull Discoverie of Witches in the Countie of Himself and Jain Edwards She-Devil 8/6
Edy Hurst's Wonderfull Witchin' Warm Up Shocking revelations about the relations of venerable comedian Edy Hurst ("Bursts with Comedic Joy" The Skinny) have led them on a vision quest across reality and to Lancashire 1612. But around every astral turn there echo's out the sirens call of the Vengaboys - what's that about? Witness as Edy attempts to condense a show that's logistically quite a lot into something that doesn't require a van! Or maybe it'll be a completely different show! Life is a mystery! Did you just call my name? Jain Edwards: She-Devil Jain isn't like other girls. She's worse. But she's finally ready to Lean In (and receive a little forehead kiss from hubby). She-Devil is a show about conspiracy theories, autism and men turning on you. Expect silly, subversive comedy from literally the best comedian. 'Pleasingly offbeat' (Guardian). 'Hugely talented' (Skinny). 'Get in early to catch a rising talent' (ShortCom.co.uk). Unfortunately due to the nature of the building the event is not wheelchair accessible. Date: Sunday 8th June Doors: 6:30pm Show start: 7pm (please arrive before) Venue: Shakespeares, Gibraltar Street, S3 8UB (upstairs) 5 mailing list discount 7 general admission
