Shanklin Theatre

Opened in 1878 and formerly known as The Institute Shanklin Theatre has a colourful past - war time dances, a serious fire and housing the Town Mortuary, now used as an Internet Radio Station. The theatre offers a professional summer season, local amateur dramatics, a Christmas pantomime, a children's stage school and is a venue for the Isle of Wight Dance Festival. There are no parking facilities available at the theatre but car parks are situated within walking distance.
