On the back of our weekenders we hope to get Skipton firmly on the Wednesday map. Hosted by The Halifax Soul Crew on the 1st Wednesday of every month, from 2pm to 7pm.

Rock returns to the Sound Bar on Friday the 30th May, with Bradford noise makers - Splinter. These guys don’t really need an introduction, but if you do like your music on the heavier side of life, then this is 100% for you.

Red Hot Drop is an uptempo rock/soul/funk/band covering classic songs from the likes of Joe Cocker, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner through to Janis Joplin, The Doobie Bros, Talking Heads and Amy Winehouse.

Returning to the Sound Bar, The Sunday Club are a band comprised of four talented and experienced musicians in a powerful & dynamic band. They will be playing the very best rock covers.

An absolutely red hot 3 piece band playing Rockabilly/ Rock n Roll consisting of drums/double bass/guitar & vocals....If you like rock n Roll and enjoy a dance, these guys are a must...Fantastic

The Bluehounds play powerfully delivered classic to modern R&B, Soul, Blues Rock and the occasional bit of cool rootsy Americana. The 4-piece band features blues festival circuit regular Charles on drums and Ian on bass joined by soulful singer Ali and Mark on guitar.

Welcoming them back to the Sound Bar Doghouse are a three-piece classic, heavy rock covers band specialising in Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin plus many more. If you are rock fan, these boys are not to be missed.

A four-piece modern rock covers band from Bradford, formed in 2011, they have regularly appeared at some of the region’s top live music pubs, clubs and festivals. Whiskey Pistol are a four-piece, rock & roll & blues band from Otley, with a top quality mix of covers blended with some outstanding original material. Born from the band Blueprint in 2014, the boys have redefined classic pub rock!

The Intentions are a five-piece cover band from Leeds, playing an eclectic mix of some of the finest pop, rock & roll and soul songs ever written. Go and have a listen on their website.

Pretty Shivers don’t look or sound like your typical Northern Rock band. Although they hail from the dark, misty valleys of Darwen, Lancashire, you’d be forgiven for eyeballing the flares, leather jackets and haircuts, and placing them at Los Angeles’ sunset strip in the 1970s. However, don’t mistake their flamboyant attire for style over substance, as they maintain a down to earth, steely Northern grit and attitude. The band’s sound also has an unmistakably retro feel, combining elements of Rock & Roll, Power Pop, Americana, Country & Soul. Their influences include Fleetwood Mac, Roxette, Jefferson Starship, Blondie, The Beatles, The Supremes, Heart & The Rolling Stones. Despite wearing nostalgia unashamedly on their sleeve, they still seem to create something that sounds completely fresh and new, bringing old-school vibes kicking and screaming into the 2020s, with modern production values and pop sensibilities. Pretty Shivers excel in live performance, showcasing Miranda’s extraordinary vocal range, Mark’s exceptional guitar skills, and Toby, Annika and Rory’s ultra tight rhythm section. Pretty Shivers released their first two singles: Running Away and Bonnie & Clyde in 2024.
