Five hours of soul with DJs Mark Summerscales and Adrian Moore, hosted by The Halifax Soul Crew, on the first Wednesday of every month. Wednesday afternoons are becoming part of the Soul calendar in the North. With successful events in many towns across our region. On the back of our Soul Weekenders, (also in collaboration with the Halifax Soul Crew) we hope to get Skipton firmly on the Wednesday map.

The best monthly music quiz, general knowledge, intros, guess the year, album covers and lyrics... and a whole lot of fun.

Rock covers band. A great afternoon of rock music for the discerning punter, or those who just wanna have a good time anyway.

A high energy five-piece show. AC/DC, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Queen, Poison, Nightwish, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy, and all things rock.

Four piece band, featuring Mike & Mark from Spark, Stan and Phil. Superb stuff - not to be missed.

“Outside the Original” is a Scottish progressive rock tribute band that focuses on performing music from bands from the likes of: Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Genesis, King Crimson, Yes, and Pink Floyd. The band, formed by James Finnigan (formerly of Hue and Cry and Stiltskin), faithfully reproduces the classics of progressive rock; establishing themselves as “the only must see prog rock show in the UK”. Performing two sets of carefully curated songs, covering a range of progressive rock classics, this is a journey through the sounds that defined a generation and a night not to be missed by any Prog fans out there.

Death or Glory are a young tribute to the only band that mattered - The Clash. Formed on International Clash Day in 2023 by Tom Mannion, Death or Glory was created with the aim of creating a tribute to The Clash that is as like-for-like as possible. He was soon joined by Sam Smith, a Joe Strummer tribute act with an eye for detail and love for The Clash that matched that of Mannion. With the addition of Jack Newton’s razor sharp drums and the multi-faceted abilities of Matt Baron (Keys, Guitars, Harmonica, Percussion) the band had all the ingredients they needed to recreate the studio sound of The Clash in the live arena. Early gigs in Manchester proved incredibly successful with attendances more than doubling with every gig and reviews and hype surrounding the band getting louder and louder. By the just the 4th show, they were playing to sell out crowds and the tour-de-force that is Death or Glory - Tribute to The Clash raced into 2024. The band pride themselves on not just recreating the sound of The Clash but the look and feel too with equipment, stage antics, clothes and attitudes that match their counterparts delivering a sound and experience as close to the spirit of The Clash that you will ever see. Death or Glory - Tribute to The Clash have just one aim; to keep the music, spirit and message of The Clash alive and in music venues for All the Young Punks (and not-so-young) to experience a show as close to the real thing as possible. Welcoming them back to the Sound Bar, The 1960 Four (formerly ‘The Big Bang’) are a four-piece, classic sixties covers band from West Yorkshire. The 1960 Four encompass their love & interpretation of the best of sixties music with inspiration from the likes of Small Faces, The Who, & The Kinks.

The Intentions are a five-piece covers band from Leeds, playing an eclectic mix of some of the finest pop, rock & roll and soul songs ever written.

BGATGFN’s - Giving you all the songs you love as well as all the ones you won’t admit to, with their own unique rock twist! These guys have a reputation for creating a ton of havoc and loads of fun, we are really looking forward to their ‘cherry poppin’ gig.

Welcoming them back to the Sound Bar, Skipton’s finest, Blue Star Tattoo are a four-piece covers band and there is no better place for these guys than on-stage in the Sound Bar. Playing a set list list of classics from Indie bangers to classic rock, funk and also pop & dance.

From Bradford, the awesome Suicide Blonde will be playing everything from old school hard rock to more recent hits. They smashed the Sound Bar last time they played and we are sure they will do it again. One of the very best covers bands around...Fantastically entertaining and not to be missed.

Skipton’s finest, Undercover are a popular two-piece, guitar-based, vocal band.

Huddersfield indie-folk-pop band that emerged organically around singer-songwriter Eileen’s quirky songs and developed into the distinctive, catchy, harmony & hook laden folk-pop songs and sound they can call their own. Their performances are full of light and shade, and their songs have been described by audience members as; ‘enigmatic,’ ‘intriguing,’ ‘sunny,’ ‘happy’ and ‘making you feel like dancing in the moonlight.’

Steely Don is an 11 piece band based in the North of England, dedicated to playing the music of Steely Dan and Donald Fagen. The aim of the band is to deliver authentic performances of the back catalogue from the classic albums of these highly regarded musicians and songwriters, who produced music that blended elements of Rock, Jazz, Latin, R&B, Soul and Blues. Expect to hear the hits, as well as a selection of deep cuts and classic album tracks. The band are highly experienced musicians and are all massive fans of Steely Dan. Its an on-going labour of love to recreate the music as faithfully and accurately as possible. This is a tribute band.

Sigmund Floyd are the UK’s most authentic Pink Floyd tribute, paying homage to the timeless Floyd catalogue with unmatched passion and energy. The band formed in 2023 when a group of musicians with a deep love for Pink Floyd came together to pay tribute to Dark Side of the Moon on it’s 50th anniversary at Manchester’s coveted venue The Blues Kitchen, performing the legendary album in full from start to finish with impressive accuracy. It was a sellout gig and an emotional evening for everybody in attendance, both on and off stage. Flash forward to 2026 and the band decided it was time to make this a regular outing, performing a 50th anniversary concert to Wish You Were Here to a very receptive audience. Sigmund Floyd strive to capture the essence of Pink Floyd’s legendary music and give it a fresh young energy to deliver a truly captivating and exciting performance. Expect to hear album deep cuts and often little attempted tracks through to the stalwart classic sing-a-long tracks that everyone knows and loves. Clampdown, a 4-piece band from Leeds consisting of Col Challinor bass & vocals, Martin Banks guitar & vocals, Lee Ruane Keys, guitar and vocals and Paul Richardson Drums. We play an eclectic range of music spanning from the 60s to the 2000s Including songs from The Cure, The Jam, The Beautiful South, Devo, Secret Affair, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, The Specials, U2, James, The Clash, The Alarm, The Members, Madness, Bad Manners, The Lambretta’s, Cold Play, Stone Roses, Crowded House, Inspiral Carpets, Deacon Blue, Human League, The Waterboys and more.

You can expect an eclectic bunch of tunes from classic artists such as the Waterboys, Tom Petty and Springsteen etc. We also hope Jake will add some of his own excellent original material to the mix.
