House Gospel Choir

1 May 2025 - 18 Dec 2025

Home Counties

Home Counties

20 May 2025 - 20 May 2025

Home Counties make melodically rigid, socially-charged anthems that are both lyrically tongue-in-cheek and scathingly satirical. The quintet who were previously known as Haze, combine angular guitar work with furious percussion and have toured with the likes of Shame, Sports Team and Pip Blom. Their debut EP Redevelopment on has had radio support from Huw Stephens and Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1), Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) and Matt Wilkinson (Beats 1).
Pit Pony

Pit Pony

24 May 2025 - 8 Nov 2025

Fiercely honest, Jackies lyricism portrays an intense duality and a vulnerability that is instantly relatable. Turning inwards to explore notions of motherhood, imposter syndrome and getting older, while simultaneously outwards through commentary on the cost of living, polluted water, the constant sell on social media and the off menu Starbucks coffee obsession. With the band citing the recent influences of Blue Weekend and Skinty Fia alongside the likes of Can and the soundtracks of Ennio Moriconne, mastering engineer Christian Wright (Wolf Alice, Fontaines D.C., Pigs x7) proves the perfect fit with Chris McManus (Blank Studios) heading up recording & production. Sonically, Pit Pony remain loyal to their roots, noting the influence of regional titans Nadine Shah and The Futureheads and with the ENGLISH ACCENT god damn it reminder on PJ Harveys Uh Huh Her in mind, Jackie Purver stays true to her accent. Dead Stars sees Pit Pony deliver an expanded but yet more balanced and personal conception of their craft. Garth Purver explains that the band were aiming for a more rounded and complete record that showcased multiple sides to us but hung together as one piece of work rather than a collection of separate tracks. While Andrew Jones mentions how the band encouraged each other to pull on those strands and incorporate more of our personal taste in the sound.

In the span of its relatively short existence, Tramhaus has managed to make a name far beyond the borders of their hometown. Marked by their joyous and energetic experience, the band has proven to be able to convey this message both in live and recorded settings. The music of Tramhaus feels like a soundtrack to a vivacious, mysterious, and dangerous story. There is no room to lean back as the band takes you with them in a drag race full of emotions and euphoria driven by streamlined, fiery songs mixed with fragile and abstract tones. This whole spectacle is fuelled by the near-symbiotic relationship between the five band members.

An Evening with Franck Carducci and Mary Reynaud
An intimate evening with French superstars, Franck Carducci & Mary Reynaud who will be playing naked versions of their classic songs using only a piano and an acoustic guitar. A few surprising covers will be added to the repertoire. She, the sweet country-folk priestess debauched by Rock 'n' Roll, he, the flamboyant rocker who soothes himself to the sound of a 12-string guitar... Franck Carducci and Mary Reynaud, it's an encounter like few others in a lifetime. When these two start playing, when their voices harmonize and their guitars vibrate together, every heart around beat in unison. We approach and sit next to them, lulled by their stories and invaded by their obvious osmosis. Mary was already a major figure in Bluegrass and Country in France when she joined Franck's 70s theatrical Rock band on backing vocals in 2014. At the same time, Franck regularly accompanied her in her Americana project, and will produce her first EP. They travel through European roads together to promote Franck's albums live, more than 300 concerts in a dozen countries. The albums, awards and tours follow one another, these stage beasts have found each other well. For 10 years, they have proven that they know how to turn the crowds on with their extravagant and powerful Rock, but also that they are able to hold an audience with just 2 guitars, 2 voices and some percussions. Here, we do not cheat with live music. No samples, no autotune, only two beautiful souls and the two bodies they inhabit. Together, they re-arrange their own compositions and give them a whole new dimension, refined and striking. The magic of acoustics offers a unique cocoon to rediscover these extraordinary artists. It is fresh, sincere and authentic. We think of Carole King and James Taylor of course, but also Fleetwood Mac, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Simon & Garfunkel...

3 Nov 2025 - 14 Nov 2025

Berlin born and raised artist Albertine Sarges brings together a new band for her debut LP which approaches her take on feminist theory, musings on bisexuality, gender stereotypes and mental health. These topics fall under the ever-shifting veneer of Albertine’s chameleonic pop motifs: from Viv Albertine-inspired post-punk and kaleidoscopic dream-pop to quiet-loud guitar squall and Tune-Yards reminiscent vocal acrobatics. While Albertine Sarges maintains a sense of comedy in her approach, her music is also a platform to explore the self and contribute to broader societal discourse.

Girls of the Internet

Girls of the Internet

8 May 2025 - 27 Sept 2025

Girls of the Internet’s manifesto is clear; to create dance music that calls back to how it was made at its inception, but with the knowledge and experience of the past 50 years of the genre. Joining the dots that have not been joined for a long time, the collective takes on people of all sexualities, gender expressions and body types. “We are very proud to bring this music back to its inclusive roots. Let’s forget the disjointed and cliquey scene we live in, and bring back what once united us.” Crafting songs with real musicians, the group’s name was inspired by Ladies of the 80’s by Eighties Ladies, the album from a girl group produced by Roy Ayers, “I just loved the whole concept, and I wanted to do the same thing with Girls of the Internet,” explains the group’s founding member Tom Kerridge. “I wanted a name that played with gender, and people’s subconscious misogyny. Girls of the Internet is abstract – it means nothing, and it means everything.”

Shinlifter + The Chunks

Shinlifter + The Chunks

1 Aug 2025 - 1 Aug 2025

August's Fuzz Bat show sees a return to Cowgate and Sneaky Pete's for a fantastic double bill of Shuffly moon rock spider jams from Shinlifter and Sophisti Skronk/Fuzzy Indie Rock from The Chunks. The bands will be playing a handful of shows together that week as part of a Summer tour. Running order will be announced on the day of the gig. Shinlifter were formed in late 2023 in Edinburgh, Scotland, by immigrant settlers from England, Ireland and Bathgate. They are the world's first budgetgroup (like a supergroup but cheaper and held together with duct tape) because theyve all played in other bands (Nice Church, Unwave, Those Unfortunates) and vocalist Olivia Furey's set at Tectonics Festival has been on BBC Radio 3 once (her performance has been described by musicologist, Adrian Habgood Rose, as "excrement in sound form"). Their debut double A-side, Percolator/Nandos (out now on PX4M), highlights the band's strengths: hypnotic drumming bolted to vocalist Furey's stream-of-consciousness collages of mundanity and guitar freak-outs. The Chunks are an indie rock band based in Edinburgh. Fuzzy and skronky sounds do the tango with pop melodies and syncopated grooves. Psychedelic breakdowns meet catchy choruses which turn into prog inspired solos. Unique and playful bass guitar is woven with intricate drum beats, and cut through by hard hitting vocals and a myriad of synth textures. The Chunks deliver humble, high energy sets with passion and a party atmosphere. The band's most recent release 'Digital Dust' is out now on Fuzz Bat Records and sees the group continue to push their sound with some of their most Chunky moments yet, with strong melodic hooks throughout. Doors at 7pm All Fuzz Bat Gigs are safe, inclusive spaces. Be excellent to each other
Enter the Starchamber: Peter Cat

Enter the Starchamber: Peter Cat

17 May 2025 - 17 May 2025

Glaswegian art pop auteurs PETER CAT return to Edinburgh for a full band headline show, ahead of their colossal new single and eponymous album, 'Starchamber'. Starchamber takes a hammer to the jaunty, twee avant-pop that Peter Cat formerly traded in from the opening salvo of discordant, fuzzy guitar lines duelling with soaring, operatic vocals, it's clear that we're in entirely new sonic territory. There are shades here of Frank Zappa's caustic playfulness, combined with a jazz-inflected crushing heaviness inspired by King Crimson, keeping this tune in step with the likes of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Black Midi. All of this adds up to create a vibe that's somehow both groovy and apocalyptic. Catch this radical new direction in the flesh for the first time at Sneaky Pete's, Edinburgh. Main support from lounge lizard pop purveyors The Raeburn Brothers and experimental alt/emo outfit What It Means. 14+ show (if accompanied). 14-17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. No refunds will be given for incorrectly booked tickets. We reserve the right to breathalyse anyone under the age of 18. Refusal or failure of the test will result in entry being denied. ★★★★★ PETER CAT is a singer and songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland, crafting offbeat and experimental pop that crosses genre boundaries with ease, yet never straying far from a great hook. His back catalog incorporates a wide range of influences, from angular indie rock, analog synth-pop, and torch-song balladeering; all undergirded by a wry and sardonic bass-baritone croon; like Berlin-era Bowie crossed with Frank Zappa. Peter Cat's debut LP, The Saccharine Underground, was released in 2020 through MoFi Records and distributed through Scottish indie heavyweight Last Night From Glasgow. This was followed by the well-received EP The Magus in 2022, which spawned fan favourite single, 'Melon Dating Simulator!!', a surreal track about cross-species dating in an imagined future dystopia. Peter Cat's forthcoming second full-length, Starchamber, will be released through Cambridge-based Trapped Animal Records in late 2025.
