If you have ever wondered 'are there any community choirs near me?' then the answer is firmly yes! The Royal Tunbridge Wells Rock Choir is led by Kent based musician and teacher Pippa Binham. Our No.1 Album gave ordinary people the chance to become chart-topping singers, and Rock Choir is continually giving our members bigger and better opportunities to achieve things they never thought they could do - from supporting national charities like Comic Relief, Missing People and Refuge to singing at the UK's top performing arts venues such as Glasgow Concert Hall and the O2. But through all this excitement, we never lose track of our local community roots. Visit this link https://rockchoir.com/events-and-performances-near-you to see more about our activities in Kent. Here is a quote about our choir - 'I wanted to see if I could sing in a choir after being inspired by the 'Choir that Rocks' TV programmes in the Summer of 2011 and joined the new Bedford RC after a taster session. I am very proud of the choir and I find rehearsals inspiring as people are so friendly and the singing so uplifting.' - Jim (Rock Choir Member) Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award [https://rockchoir.com/awards-achievements/]. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. If you are pondering whether there is a 'pop or gospel choir near me' then you may be interested in the local Royal Tunbridge Wells Rock Choir. The local Royal Tunbridge Wells choir is run by singer/pianist Pippa Binham. Rock Choir is unequalled in the opportunities we can offer our members - from performing at top music and arts venues like the O2 Arena and on top of the BT tower to raising money for some of the UKs best-loved good causes such as Comic Relief,Sign2Sing and Missing People. Appearing on national television and singing with celebrities like Natasha Bedingfield has been exciting and exhilarating, but Rock Choir members still know the importance of supporting our local community causes and events! Joining a choir can be a brave step to take for some and in light of this Pippa tries to make it as easy as possible for you by giving the opportunity to have a FREE taster session and then to have a chat with her about singing. Rock Choir is the leading group in community singing. We launched our FREE choir taster sessions back in 2005 and have 19 years experience giving members of the public who are new to community singing the chance to try joining a choir without the need to audition or read music. Here is a quote about our choir - 'I joined Rock Choir after being made redundant and being out of work for a year, so was feeling fairly low. Immediately I was greeted like an old friend and made to feel welcome. Since then I have gone on to meet new friends, have a great time every week and culminating to doing a solo at a local festival. If you'd have said to me a year ago I'd have the confidence to not only sing in front of people, but do a solo, I'd have told you not to be so silly. Rock Choir has become a v important part of my life, for the better.' - Alex (Rock Choir member) Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award [https://rockchoir.com/awards-achievements/]. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
