If you have ever wondered 'are there any community choirs near me?' then the answer is firmly yes! Your friendly local Chichester choir is run by choir leader Rachel Button. We have a great year lined up and we would like to invite you to join our choir and take part in the local Chichester and wider West Sussex community. We are part of the pioneering Rock Choir singing groups. We often team up with the other local West Sussex choirs to appear in groups of any size, 100, 500 and even and even 12,000 at the O2 arena in Summer 2013. These inspirational moments are unique to the Rock Choir experience. It's unbelievable and you can still join the choir. Joining a choir can be a brave step to take for some and in light of this Rachel tries to make it as easy as possible for you by giving the opportunity to have a FREE taster session and then to have a chat with her about singing. Rock Choir is the leading group in community singing. We launched our FREE choir taster sessions back in 2005 and have 18 years experience giving members of the public who are new to community choirs the chance to try joining a choir without the need to audition or read music. I bet a pound to a pinch of salt there are thousands of guys and girls in the UK itching to sing but are too embarrassed or worried what others may think, and let's face it, if it makes people happy then come on UK lets get behind them!!! At CFT we aim to provide the best environment for everyone to explore their creativity and passion for theatre. Friday Company is for adults aged 25+ with learning disabilities who would like to develop their artistic, personal and social skills in a fun and supportive environment. Our Friday Company runs at St Paul's Church Hall in Chichester. Sessions for Term 4 run on Fridays on the following dates: 6, 13, 20, 27 June 4, 18, 25 July (No session on 11 July) 1, 8, 15 August We run two Friday Company groups at the following times: Session One - 12.15pm - 1.45pmLunch Break - 1.45 - 2.15pmSession Two - 2.15 - 3.45pm Participants will attend either Session One or Session Two each week, and are welcome to bring their lunch and join us and members from both groups in the break between sessions. Friday Company sessions cost £80 per term. We never want cost to be a barrier for anyone who wants to attend, so if you'd like to find out more about our bursary scheme, get in touch with us.
