John Bramwell

John Bramwell

8 Aug 2025 - 6 Dec 2025

John Harold Arnold Bramwell, to give him his full name, is perhaps best-known for his time as the songwriter and frontman of Manchester three-piece, I Am Kloot. However, he also possesses an enviable back catalogue as a solo artist and continues to work on new material under the guise of his latest band, John Bramwell & The Full Harmonic Convergence. Bramwell’s first studio output appeared in 1989, when he was performing and recording as Johnny Dangerously and entitled You Me & The Alarm Clock, an album The Guardian referred to as one of the ‘greatest albums you’ve never heard.’ Following a stint as a television presenter and as a member of the band, The Mouth, Bramwell formed I Am Kloot, with two members of The Mouth. They went on to record six studio albums, including the Mercury-Prize nominated album, Sky At Night. Since 2016, Bramwell has reverted to being a solo artist and tours continuously, around the UK and Europe. A home-recorded solo album, Leave Alone the Empty Spaces appeared in 2018 and the follow-up, a more expansive affair, with a working title of The Light Fantastic, is now scheduled for release in 2022.

Public Service Broadcasting

Public Service Broadcasting

6 Aug 2025 - 6 Aug 2025

Public Service Broadcasting have been “teaching the lessons of the past through the music of the future” for more than a decade now. 2013’s debut album Inform – Educate – Entertain used archival samples from the British Film Institute as audio-portals to the Battle of Britain, the summit of Everest and beyond. Two years later, The Race For Space used similar methods to laud the superpowers’ rivalry and heroism in orbit and on the moon. In 2017, joined by voices including Manic Street Preachers’ James Dean Bradfield, Every Valley was a moving exploration of community and memory via the rise and fall of the British coal industry. Pointedly topical in its analyses, it reached number four on the UK charts. For their fourth album, Bright Magic (2021), the band take inspiration from Berlin: “It’s become an album about moving to Berlin to write an album about people who move to Berlin to write an album…”. Heralded as the band’s most varied and cerebral record, Bright Magic is an impressionist portrait of the city from the ground up, less linear and narrative than previous works, combining PSB’s use of electronics and surging guitar rock with sound samples collected in the city itself to realise the dreams of Berlin they’d constructed in their minds.
Moonchild Sanelly

Moonchild Sanelly

3 Aug 2025 - 7 Oct 2025

Determinedly doing things her own way and standing up for what she believes in has long been ingrained in the psyche of trailblazing South African musician Moonchild Sanelly, whose drive to succeed has been fuelled by personal pain and trauma. Growing up in Port Elizabeth with a hip-hop producer brother and a mum who would put her onstage from a young age to compete in dance competitions, Sanelisiwe Twishas music-filled childhood was full of creativity. Whether it was self-choreographing dance routines to Spice Girls tracks, teaching herself to play the piano, singing at church with her family, or starting to write poetry, expression and being artistically free was always encouraged.

David Ford

David Ford

9 Oct 2025 - 6 Nov 2025

These days, David Ford feels much more at home operating on the fringes of the music business, not trying to be famous, not trying to get rich. It might be an unconventional way to conduct a musical career, but this is not a conventional guy, as evidenced by his most recent album, Animal Spirits, a surprisingly accessible, even soulful collection of songs about economics. As an artist Ford still defies classification or comparison. Singer-songwriter doesn’t begin to cover it. He writes and performs with fluency across multiple genres, plays every instrument on the stage and even invents new ones to create truly unique recordings and performances. Every live show is different. Ford’s trademark one-man loop machine circus grows more complex and audacious every year, but then he is just as likely to show up with a six-piece band, a string quartet, jazz drummer or a choir and his most recent UK tour proved he can be equally compelling sat in an armchair, playing acoustic guitar and telling stories. The result is a live spectacle described by The Guardian as “unmissable”. As well as playing sold-out headline shows on both sides of the Atlantic, he has toured with and supported artists such as Elvis Costello, Allen Toussaint, Ray LaMontagne, Aimee Mann, Sara Bareilles, Gomez, Aqualung, Richard Ashcroft, Suzanne Vega, Augustana, Ingrid Michaelson and Jakob Dylan.

Girls of the Internet

Girls of the Internet

11 Sept 2025 - 13 Dec 2025

Girls of the Internet’s manifesto is clear; to create dance music that calls back to how it was made at its inception, but with the knowledge and experience of the past 50 years of the genre. Joining the dots that have not been joined for a long time, the collective takes on people of all sexualities, gender expressions and body types. “We are very proud to bring this music back to its inclusive roots. Let’s forget the disjointed and cliquey scene we live in, and bring back what once united us.” Crafting songs with real musicians, the group’s name was inspired by Ladies of the 80’s by Eighties Ladies, the album from a girl group produced by Roy Ayers, “I just loved the whole concept, and I wanted to do the same thing with Girls of the Internet,” explains the group’s founding member Tom Kerridge. “I wanted a name that played with gender, and people’s subconscious misogyny. Girls of the Internet is abstract – it means nothing, and it means everything.”
Moncrieff

Moncrieff

28 Nov 2025 - 4 Dec 2025

Chris Breheny, aka Moncrieff, began his musical journey as a teenager after the tragic loss of his older brother and sister. Y&T

Y&T

15 Oct 2025 - 25 Oct 2025

Before Mötley Crüe, before RATT, even before there was a Metallica, Y&T was slogging away in sweaty rock clubs around America. When the band formed in the early 1970s, little did they know they would set the standard for hard rock bands that trailed. Many of the biggest acts of the '80s became popular opening for headliners Y&Tand cut their teeth on the band, as evidenced by the Y&T mentions in tell-all books by acts such as Metallica and Mötley Crüe. Born in Oakland, California, Y&T is one of the San Francisco Bay Area's own innovators of the hard rock sound. Whether performing to a festival crowd of fifty-thousand or in an intimate nightclub, Y&T's high- energy set and passionate performances still captivate legions of fans around the globe, proving Y&T's music timeless. Originally formed as Yesterday and Today, the initial powerhouse quartetfeaturing Dave Meniketti (lead guitar/lead vocals), Phil Kennemore (bass), Leonard Haze (drums), and Joey Alves (rhythm guitar) tore through the '70s and '80s with their own brand of hard rock. After two '70s albums on London Records, they shortened their name to Y&T and released eight albums on A&M in the '80s. Two more albums with Geffen Records marked an era of change with Jimmy DeGrasso (Alice Cooper, Suicidal Tendencies, Megadeth) on drums and Stef Burns (Alice Cooper, Berlin, Huey Lewis) on guitar. With a discography of 18 albums, four greatest hits collections, plus a box set, Y&T have sold over four million albums since their 1974 inception. The band's most recent single "I'm Coming Home" has climbed to roughly 1.5 million views on YouTube. Y&T received extensive airplay with hits such as Forever, Rescue Me, Mean Streak, Don't Stop Runnin', and Summertime Girlswhich played in heavy rotation on MTV. Y&T songs have been featured in a multitude of movies and television shows, including Real Genius, Out of Bounds, Baywatch, and Hunter. After five top 100 albums, songs that tipped into the 40s, two Bammie Awards, and many international television appearances, Y&T's hits are still played on VH1 Classic and Classic Rock radio stations worldwide. With Kennemore's untimely passing from lung cancer, the band carries on the legacy that is Y&T. Y&T continues to tour the world, featuring the dynamic original frontman Dave Meniketti (guitar/lead vocals), John Nymann (guitar/vocals), Brad Lang (bass/vocals), and Mike Vanderhule (drums/vocals), playing songs that span the band's five-decade career and including all the hits and fan favorites. Natalie Bergman

Natalie Bergman

23 Sept 2025 - 25 Sept 2025

Bergman comes to this material naturally. Her first musical loves were church songs, especially the sing-song-y, repetitive hymns. "I've always written songs about Jesus," she says. "I'm not afraid of it; this album is my take on gospel music." Her voice really works the upper registers in a manner occasionally similar to 1930s blues vocalists, or perhaps Badu. But there's nothing retro about the way she multi-tracks her voice and self-harmonizes in sweet, lofty chords. "I was raised by musical parents who encouraged their children's artistry. My mother would recite George Gershwin on the piano; she taught me how to play my favorite standards. My father loved to sing his own renditions of Dylan and Mavis Staples. He met Mavis on several occasions, and she asked him to marry her, twice. He was drawn to music with a moral compass, a backbone. My father was a student of the Bible, and had a passion for great songwriting. He valued the importance of song itself. I often found myself in discussion with him about my own music. He liked to wrestle with words. He was a master of language. He taught me a great deal about mercy."
Get the Blessing

Get the Blessing

23 Nov 2025 - 23 Nov 2025

The progressive jazz/noise/thrash band Get the Blessing (formerly the Blessing when a legal issue forced them to modify their name) was formed in 2000 in Bristol, England. Their interest in the modern creative improvised sound, North African culture, and non-chordal music established their aesthetic. Also enamored with the harmelodic pretexts of Ornette Coleman, they established a more focused identity in 2006 with their first studio sessions. The original combo the Blessing formed a parallel approach to the Esbjörn Svensson Trio, but also Polar Bear and Acoustic Ladyland, and drew additional influences from the Kings of Leon, Morphine, Elvis Costello, and Albert Ayler. Their debut CD All Is Yes was issued in 2008. Bandmembers include bassist Jim Barr and drummer Clive Deamer, both former members of Portishead. Barr played previously with the Jukes and Peter Gabriel, while Deamer's extensive and wildly diverse credits include Hawkwind, Jeff Beck, Loreena McKennitt, Alison Moyet, Champion Jack Dupree, Dr. John, Tom Jones, Jools Holland, and Robert Plant. Trumpeter Pete Judge and saxophonist Jake McMurchie both have played with Super Furry Animals. Judge is known for his work on movie soundtracks and with Portishead, while McMurchie leads his own jazz quartet, and was a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.

The Dear Hunter

The Dear Hunter

19 Sept 2025 - 24 Sept 2025

Anachronistic and timeless in equal measure, the narrative of The Dear Hunter existed in both the past and the present, its detailed plot standing simultaneously as an age-old and new age fable. As that tale progressed, so did Crescenzo’s art, his experimental compositions blurring the line between different genres to create a sound that was – and still is – unique to the band.
Food House

Food House

3 Sept 2025 - 9 Sept 2025

The pair bonded while both living in (and despising) Fraxiom's home state of Massachusetts, one the many topics of 'Thos Moser', their first collaboration and smash hit first release on Dylan Brady's Dog Show Records. Their self-titled album is crammed full of pop culture references and obscure inside jokes but resonates much deeper than its surface-level silliness through Gupi's expansive, addictive instrumentals and Fraxiom's earnest and unapologetic lyrical perspective.

Lair (guruguru Brain, Indonesia) + Paper Crowns
We look forward to hosting the 6-piece psych-soul & funk outfit hailing from Jatiwangi, West Java, Indonesia, taking inspiration from classical & traditional Panturan Tarling. LAIR (pronounced “lah-eer,” a local dialect for the Indonesian word of ‘lahir’, meaning ‘birth’ or, roughly ‘being born’) is a 6-piece psych-soul/funk outfit hailing from Jatiwangi, West Java, Indonesia. Formed in 2018, LAIR’s music, lyrics, and its presentation are vivid, inherently gaudy (in a good way), and honest, taking a sizeable chunk of inspiration from classical/traditional Panturan Tarling, a form of now-grassroot musical/performance art popular amongst the people of a certain areas in the northern coast of West and Central Java. Taken outside of the group’s narratives, the music and lyrics speak for themselves, describing in detail, through aural means, how it is to live on the northern shores of the island of Java. The feeling of salt in the humid air; The tiniest drop of sweat as it runs down the neck of truckers zooming down the hectic roads of Pantura; Posters of the coming election candidates plastered throughout the villages; The lingering smell of burnt fuel in the air; The garish set of stickers decorating the windshield of rundown public transports, braving every pothole with their dangerously-rickety wheels; And, most of all, the scorching heat. All lovingly communicated through the charming perspective of the locals. Presented by Strange Brew. 14+ event with all under 18s to be accompanied by a 21+ adult (1:1 ratio)
Kathryn Joseph

Kathryn Joseph

16 Oct 2025 - 2 Nov 2025

Scottish singer/songwriter Kathryn Joseph released her debut album at the age of 40, and it was awarded the 2015 Scottish Album of the Year prize while drawing comparisons to artists like PJ Harvey and Joanna Newsom. Some 17 years after she was first offered a record deal, Joseph finally capitalized on the raw, barebones nature of her compositions with Bones You Have Thrown Me, And Blood I Have Spilled for a record of minimal instrumentation but maximum impact, which quickly established her reputation as a singer and songwriter.
Poor Creature

Poor Creature

12 Sept 2025 - 21 Sept 2025

History is a chronological timeline, often misinterpreted and disputed. Rooted in landscape and geography, people and moments, it thrives on contradiction: victors and losers, mythology and reality. Within that landscape, songs are arguably subject to even more contrasts. Songs that have existed for centuries can seem immutable and anchored to time. A new generation of Irish musicians are keen to acknowledge that musical legacy, while re-imagining the songs within a contemporary context. Poor Creature are one such, a trio comprised of Ruth Clinton, Cormac MacDiarmada and John Dermody. All three are members of other bands (Landless and Lankum respectively) who have built a large following on re-interpreting songs from the past. They formed during lockdown and the original line-up was initially just Ruth and Cormac.

Noso

Noso

17 Feb 2026 - 19 Feb 2026

Originating from Chicago before studying guitar and songwriting at the Thornton School of Music, and now based in Los Angeles, NoSo’s music deals with the alienation that comes at the intersection of his different identities. The stage name of NoSo itself comes from a question he’d get growing up in a largely white neighborhood (“North or South Korean?”) While he became known in LA for his talent with guitar, he ultimately decided to pursue writing his own deeply personal music. This is as personal as anything else he’s made.
YHWH Nailgun

YHWH Nailgun

19 Aug 2025 - 28 Oct 2025

The quartet of Zack Borzone (vox), Jack Tobias (synth), Sam Pickard (drums), and Saguiv Rosenstock (guitar) display an innate ability to translate a primitive spirit into a modern form. Born during the lockdown as an experimental project between Borzone and Pickard in Philadelphia, the group expanded as the two moved to New York, adding Tobias for their debut self-titled EP, which was produced by Rosenstock, who was then integrated into the band. That first collection is one of self-discovery, of finding the tools necessary to make songs within the band’s own ecosystem. They honed in on their own world and their collaborative, close-knit writing process, discovering the essential structures and feelings that make YHWH Nailgun.
Sunflower Bean

Sunflower Bean

23 Oct 2025 - 29 Oct 2025

Sunflower Bean, the low slung psyche punk band that had Brooklyn in a spin in 2015 finally make it to these shores. Frontduo Julia Cumming and Nick Kivlen might just be rocks new poster kids, with everybody from Hedi Slimane to Burger Records already falling at their feet despite the trio barely being out of the traps. Their music means a whole lot more than the hype though, and next months debut album Human Ceremony has barely left our stereo since we had it sent at the end of last year. We thought it would be good, but not this good, and they'll probably make their way onto many best of 2016 lists with it.
Mark William Lewis + Tony Bontana

Mark William Lewis + Tony Bontana

29 Oct 2025 - 29 Oct 2025

Mark William Lewis mark william lewis is an artist that exists between the cracks. He eschews easy genre categorisation, plays with the traditional conventions of a songwriter, and creates music that is poetically sharp, visually vivid, yet texturally opaque. Writing songs that explore the intersection between intimacy and alienation, connection and disconnection, he is a singular and bold voice operating in a distinctly unique yet blurry space. His recent track ‘Tomorrow is Perfect’ is the first release via A24 Music, a song that feels like the purest embodiment of him as a complete artist to date, blurring the boundaries of imagery, music and words pushed to the forefront. Tony Bontana Tony Bontana, a Birmingham based rapper, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, is a trailblazer in the UK’s experimental hip-hop landscape, renowned for his self-coined “Splayed” style-a distinctive blend of degraded, manipulated samples, non-linear rhythms, and deeply introspective lyricism, released through his independent label, Everything is Perfect Records. His extensive discography, including emotionally charged works like L’Humanité (a tribute to his late mother), the mellow, left-field mixtape TUMPIT (2025), and collaborative projects such as The Beautiful Malaise (2025) with Psychedelic Ensemble, fuses abstract hip-hop, post-hardcore, indie rock, punk and soul influences, showcasing his genre-defying versatility. Presented by Strange Brew. 14+ event with all under 18s to be accompanied by a 21+ adult (1:1 ratio)

A.A. Williams

A.A. Williams

27 Jan 2026 - 6 Feb 2026

Making her stage debut in April 2019 and selling out her first headline show at London’s prestigious Southbank Centre over a year later, A.A. Williams has hit the ground running. Similarly, the acclaim for her performances and her music has been unanimous from the start. After one self-titled EP and the 10” vinyl collaboration Exit in Darkness with Japanese post-rockers MONO, the London-based singer-songwriter has signed to Bella Union and made a stunning debut album, Forever Blue. A rapturous blend of post-rock and post-classical, Forever Blue smoulders with uncoiling melodies and haunted atmospheres, shifting from serenity to explosive drama, often within the same song. Williams is a fantastic musician as well as songwriter, playing the guitar, cello and piano, and her voice has the controlled delivery of a seasoned chanteuse whilst still channelling the rawest of emotions.

The future of British Metal lies in safe hands with Conjurer, who announce their long-awaited new album Páthos, to be released 1st July 2022 via Nuclear Blast. Páthos is not an album for the half-hearted or faint-hearted. Elements of sludge, death, doom, black metal and hardcore influences clash and collide throughout, all masterfully finished by Will Putney’s exquisite mix and master. The fifty-minute runtime of Páthos is not without its moments of the sublime. That a band can be at once so triumphantly beautiful and gut-punchingly heavy is testament to Conjurer’s quality, and a surefire sign of their future longevity at the top of Britain’s heavy music scene. A triumphant return from Conjurer following their world-renowned 2018 debut Mire, Páthos is a band flexing their creative muscles, deepening their approach and thought, and expanding their sound.
Water From Your Eyes

Water From Your Eyes

13 Nov 2025 - 18 Nov 2025

There's no perfect way to describe Water From Your Eyes, the New York duo composed of Nate Amos (he/him) and Rachel Brown (they/them). Both known independently for their solo work under the names This Is Lorelei and Thanks For Coming respectively, the pair have been together since 2016, and in that time they have developed a clear-eyed approach to forward-thinking dance music that combines austerity and satire, abrasion and charm in a package that is consistently innovative and unlike anything being made by their contemporaries in the Brooklyn DIY scene or outside of it. After a series of smaller releases the band made their mark in 2019 with the release of Somebody Else's Song, which earned praise from outlets like Stereogum, FLOOD, GoldFlakePaint and Pitchfork who declared that "wading through Water From Your Eyes' whims is a delight in itself, and discovering the unexpected loveliness buried within is especially worthwhile." Now they have signed to the beloved Brooklyn indie Wharf Cat Records (Palberta, Gong Gong Gong, Dougie Poole) for their latest LP Structure, and constitutes the most startling release in their catalogue to date. Delighting in contradiction, Structure is an ambitious LP that approaches its own impressive scope and aspiration with a tongue-in-cheek humor and a reflexive self-effacement that wonderfully reflects the personalities of its creators. Influenced by Scott Walker's sole 80s release, Climate of Hunter and the works of the colorfield painter Mark Rothko, it's a concept album that pokes fun of the idea of concept albums, exploring high-minded ideas while subverting them and applying a hyper-focused eye for detail in the service of a series of clever misdirections. When taken together Structure paints a picture too vast to be taken in at once, but repeated listens reveal melodic subtleties, rhythmic minutiae, and lyrical repetition that allow the whole to come into focus. Whether the lasting impression is concrete or abstract will depend on the listener's perspective, but from any vantage point Structure is a thrillingly original release and a first-class achievement in brutalist pop.

Mark Ernestus' Ndagga Rhythm Force + O$vmv$m
Basic Channel's dub techno pioneer meets some of Senegal's greatest sabar musicians for a deep, percussive and high-energy live performance - quite possibly one of the best live bands we've seen play at the venue! Their latest record "Khadim" is a stunning reconfiguration of the Ndagga Rhythm Force sound, a style which is more dubwise; prickling with effects and spaciousness, with ambient sounds of Dakar street-life. The music throughout is taut, grooving, complex, like before; but more volatile, intuitive and reaching, with turbulent emotional & spiritual expressivity. "One of the most impressive African bands on the contemporary gig circuit, throwing down live sets known to effortlessly go over 2 hours and propel so many legs and minds to new shapes and feels - trust they slay every time and should be top of all must-see lists." - Boomkat O$VMV$M weave otherworldly sound collages from samples throughout the eras, shot with a smoky dubwise & cinematic sensibility. Coming together through the loose knit radio sessions of Young Echo collective around the early 2010s - their sound evolved from a shared love of grime, soul, rap, b-movies, horror films and dancehall. They have worked extensively with vocalists, producing 2 full length albums for Manonmars, an album with Franco Franco, 2 singles with Rider Shafique, original songs and remixes with Birthmark, Tricky, Jamakabi, BLYY and Bogues plus their most recent mixtape Shroud of Fear 2. Presented by Strange Brew. 14+ event with all under 18s to be accompanied by a 21+ adult (1:1 ratio)

reputation of "your favourite band's favourite band," the quartet (Rick Maguire, Kris Kuss, Matt Connery, and Matt Becker) have been setting the DIY indie punk scene ablaze since 2009, developing a unanimously praised back catalogue in the process and a legion of diehard fans throughout the entire country and abroad. The band have toured heavily over the years, playing all ages venues and basements in the spirit of DIY culture with peers Speedy Ortiz, Big Ups, LVL UP, Two Inch Astronaut, Krill, etc. Pile started to work on You're Better Than This at Omaha's Another Recording Company with producer Ben Brodin. The result of those sessions is Pile at their absolute finest, a perfect mix of the band's ferocious and gentle sides, an undeniably explosive record that twists and convulses with unexpected turns at every corner. Pile's exceptional ability to warp through loud-soft-loud dynamics is on full display, forgoing predictable song structures and triumphantly crushing any false sense of security. You're Better Than This is comforting at one moment and brutal the next, ripping through influences that include post-punk, noise rock, folk song-writing, and a particularly colossal take on indie rock. Will Guthrie's Ensemble Nist-nah + Special Guests
Ensemble Nist-Nah was formed in 2019 as a hybrid Gamelan / percussion ensemble, led by Nantes-based Australian drummer and percussionist Will Guthrie. The music of Ensemble Nist-Nah is informed, influenced and inspired by various traditional musics from Indonesia and gong based musics from South east Asia, however the music aims to distances itself from dry academic discourse or questionable exoticism. Rather, sonic and interactive issues are at the forefront, and the band since it’s inception, has aimed to produce music that is continually evolving, relevant, respectful and adapting to the current members and their current interests. Ensemble Nist-Nah develops out of Guthrie’s extensive work with pitched percussion and resonant metals over the years, using gongs, singing bowls and bells as melodic and harmonic material, alongside polyrhythmic / poly-metric rhythmic possibilities. Presented by Strange Brew. 14+ event with all under 18s to be accompanied by a 21+ adult (1:1 ratio)

The Necks

The Necks

27 Oct 2025 - 27 Oct 2025

Chris Abrahams (grand piano), Tony Buck (drums), and Lloyd Swanton (bass) "One of the greatest bands in the world." - New York Times "Tonal, accessible, and yet profoundly challenging... The Necks are singular... Yielding things no one else does." - The Wire The Necks are one of the great cult bands of Australia and the world. Featuring lengthy pieces which slowly unravel in the most mesmerising fashion, frequently underpinned by an insistent deep groove, the eighteen albums by The Necks stand up to re-listening time and time again. The deceptive simplicity of their music throws forth new charms on each hearing. Not entirely avant-garde, nor minimalist, nor ambient, nor jazz, it is totally unique in the world today. Masters of their own musical language of long-form improvisation, each night they step onto the stage with no pre-conceived ideas of what they will play - they and the audience will go on a sonic journey that is created in the moment and in that room. Over their 30 years together, they honed an assured process of building around repeated motifs through subtle shifts and layering, to produce an extraordinarily dense and hypnotic effect which builds in a mesmerising, epic fashion .... a trio conjuring an orchestral expanse. Every Necks' performance is a singular event, 2 sets of approximately 45 minutes, entirely improvised and working with the acoustics of the room. Presented by Strange Brew. 14+ event with all under 18s to be accompanied by a 21+ adult (1:1 ratio)
