Family Social Club

Family Social Club

20 May 2025 - 15 Jul 2025

The Family Social Club offers you space and time in the week when you don't need to worry about what to make for tea and can access some fun things to do as a family, in a safe and happy space here at TCR Hub. The aim of these sessions is to offer you some respite from the meal-planning as well as provide some family activities that can support well-being as well as being good fun. The sessions are open to grandparents, parents and carers with children and young people. We are targeting activities at children who are primary aged but everyone is welcome and we'd love it if adults join in too. Some activities may be inaccessible to those under 5 years but if you are happy to bring younger children along with this understanding, you are most welcome. The sessions include an activity for up to an hour, and a meal for the whole family. We are running these sessions from 4pm until 6pm, with an activity in the first hour, followed by a healthy, home cooked tea from 5 - 6pm. Activities will vary from crafts, outdoor fun, music and gardening.... and we are open to ideas from the group! We will let you know what activity is planned at least 24 hours before the session so you have time to prepare, bring necessary clothes, etc. When you book, indicate the ages of your children, please share any allergy requirements or access needs any members of the family have. If you'd like to share a few ideas of activities that would appeal, please do by emailing one of our Family Activities Coordinators Sarah Gent at [email protected] The spaces are £6 per adult and £4 per child, though we offer subsidised spaces to those who need them. Please contact Sarah who will sort this for you if it is relevant for your family. We are developing plans to start a second Family Social Club which will be fully subsidised and targeting certain families from January 2024 on Thursdays. I'll update you on this when it is possible to do so. Any questions or comments about the Family Social Club, please don't hesitate to email Sarah or call us on 01833 690150. Initially, numbers are limited to a maximum of 15 people per Club.
