Haze and Tiger Moth Tales

Haze and Tiger Moth Tales

20 Dec 2026 - 20 Dec 2026

Haze Despite building their reputation as a progressive rock band, Haze have always drawn on a wide variety of influences, ranging from pop, rock, folk, and metal to meandering psychedelic jams & tightly structured prog epics. Formed in Sheffield in the late 1970s by brothers Chris & Paul McMahon, they established their reputation as one of the hardest working underground bands of the 80s and have continued to perform regularly ever since, including weekly live-streamed concerts during Lockdown. Their latest studio album, The Water's Edge, was reviewed in Prog magazine: "The result is the best sounding Haze album yet, with the band free to concentrate on playing the music, and the inevitable constraints on studio time also helping to bring out the free-flowing, seat-of-the-pants improvisation which has made Haze one of the best live acts around." It's also their fastest-selling album to date, proving that Haze's legendary reputation is richly deserved. Tiger Moth Tales Tiger Moth Tales is essentially the brain child of Nottinghamshire based musician and writer Peter Jones, who has been involved in the music industry performing around the UK and recording his own material since the late 90s. At fifteen months Pete lost his sight due to Retinoblastoma. From an early age he was into all things musical and at the age of four had his first piano. Peter composed from an early age, usually in the form of improvisations which he would capture on his cassette recorder.

Maquee Square Heroes: A Tribute to Fish-Era Marillion
"We are going to play you part of our new album. It will only feature two songs: one called Side One and the other called Side Two." Marquee Square Heroes invite you to relive the moments that made marillion one of the biggest bands in the world Marillion still regularly undertake a series of shows around the UK at Christmas. Take the opportunity to transport yourself back to the very beginning of this Christmas tradition that sits slightly outside many other more traditional seasonal spectaculars. By the end of 1984, Marillion had completed their second album and toured to great acclaim with the Fugazi album. Demand to see the band was huge, and a multitude of pirated bootleg live albums began circulating amongst their fans. EMI decided to release a live "mini-album," available at a reduced price. And thus was born Real to Reel, a live album that really captures the essence and spirit of the band at that time. A few Christmas gigs were then booked, and the Real to Reel Tour was undertaken. No one could have anticipated what would happen to Marillion in 1985. The decision to release Real to Reel enabled the band to concentrate on writing the album that became the biggest-selling of their career: Misplaced Childhood. Achieving Number 1 status in the album charts, it provided massive exposure with top 5 singles chart positions for Kayleigh and Lavender, and a strong chart position for Heart of Lothian too. Kayleigh was only kept from the top of the charts by a worthy charity single. You couldn’t turn the radio on in 1985 without hearing that classic song of lost love and lost opportunities. On this tour, not only did Marillion play an exceptional set of songs from their catalogue, but they also played 17 minutes of the new album live for the first time. It blew those who witnessed it away. This year, MARQUEE SQUARE HEROES will recreate those shows, performing not only a set that reflects that tour, but also the entire classic Misplaced Childhood album, along with other classics not performed on that tour. Tickets will be limited, so buy now to secure your place.

The Rezillos

The Rezillos

9 Oct 2026 - 13 Feb 2027

The Rezillos burst forth upon the rock scene in 1976, having gathered together at Edinburgh College of Art. Through a shared love of Sixties Garage Rock and the Spectoresque Girl Group glam of The Ronettes and The Shangri-Las, The Rezillosfound themselves inadvertently caught up in the Punk or New Wave movement. Their debut single, I Can't Stand My Baby, shot them to underground fame initially via airings on John Peel's radio show. Their classic singles My Baby Does Good Sculptures, Top of the Pops and Destination Venus signalled critically acclaimed milestones for the band. Their landmark album of 1978 Can't Stand the Rezillos reached the top 10 in the UK album chart. They appeared twice on the legendary Old Grey Whistle Test and hit the Top Twenty with their hit single Top of the Pops, a satirical swipe at the UK pop music show of the same name. Once the band had achieved chart success it was inevitable that they should appear on the same show! They followed up that same year with a live recording, Mission Accomplished... But the Beat Goes On, and promptly broke up to the anguish of fans and music critics alike.

Behind the drums, Aidan Marsden's percussion expertise and experience of diverse musical forms ranges across the classical repertoire, through accompanying singer-songwriters such as Gaja, to the black metal of Thing. Performing a good proportion of unreleased material, The Far Meadow will of course play some more familiar songs from their past releases. Dominic Sanderson Liverpool-based musician Dominic Sanderson places his foot firmly in the 70s prog-rock camp! With influences ranging from King Crimson, Van der Graaf Generator and Steven Wilson, through to Canterbury Scene giants Caravan and Soft Machine, Sanderson and his band bring a raw, untamed and aggressive sound! After taking his first steps into the world of progressive rock with the Discarded Memories EP (2020) and his debut album, Impermanence (2023), Sanderson and band recorded Blazing Revelations, which made its way into many 2025 end-of-year best-of lists. This album showcases an eclectic array of styles, from the symphonic approaches of From the Weeping Cradle and Lullaby for a Broken Dream to the Canterbury flavours of Faithless Folly and the acid folk of A Rite of Wrongs. Sanderson and band are a force to be reckoned with in the live arena, as exemplified by Sanderson's newest release, Live Revelations, a live album recorded at the Birmingham Symphony Hall.

Since then they have criss-crossed the globe with their spectacular live shows. Subsequent full length albums such named Humbled By Our Greatness and Death To False Disco Metal have seen them spread their glittered wings to take on non Bee Gees classics from the disco era.

Kid Kapichi

25 Sept 2026 - 20 Nov 2026

It’s Kapee-chee It’s Ben Beetham (guitars, vocals), Eddie Lewis (bass), George Macdonald (drums), and Jack Wilson (vocals, guitars). Four twenty-somethings with big personalities from Hastings who’ve been making music together for over half their lives, in various configurations. Working in pubs, construction, motorcycle trade, anything. Driving nightshifts just to keep playing. Eight years of non-stop graft. “The bands that make it are the ones that don’t give up,” says Eddie. “We’ve sacrificed everything. Normal jobs, settling down, we put our lives completely on hold for our dreams.” And the four have dreamed up something special as Kid Kapichi. A behemoth of a band on and off stage thanks to the Hastings scene that nurtured them, until they got their big break from Frank Carter - he invited them to play his birthday party and then join him on a major tour. Their best songs explore racism, in-work poverty, mental health, violence, frustration, and all-consuming love with honesty and humour. All their songs come studded with barbed wire hooks, bristling with the juddering shock of lived experience, the cathartic thrill of a balled-up fist relaxing into an air punch.

'So What' has since become the band´s anthem and has been covered by Metallica who play the track regularly to this day in concert. This was followed up by their seminal debut album 'We are...the League' in 1982 on WXYZ Records. This was followed by their 'Live in Yugoslavia' album but the band has split by the end of the 1980's. Since reforming the band have released some incredible albums such as 'The Horse is Dead', 'Out Of Control', 'The Road to Rampton' and more. In 2017 the Anti-Nowhere League have released their latest album ´´League Style ( Loosen Up )' which includes their own unique take on classi Ska & Reggae tunes such as 'Long Shot Kick De Bucket', 'Johnny Too Bad', 'Suzanne Beware of the Devil' and more.

Motörheadache

14 Aug 2026 - 2 Apr 2027

We are please to welcome Motorheadache who are a top class and authentic tribute to the late, great Lemmy Kilmister and his band, Motörhead. Motörheadache is a three piece tribute to Lemmy's musical career with Motörhead from 1975 to 2015. Set up by lifelong Motörhead fan Rob Campbell on Rickenbacker bass and vocals, Rob captures the essence of Lemmy in voice, stage clothes and his grinding mid-range bass sound. As Lemmy Kidderminster, Rob plays a custom built Rickenbastard made my Lemmy's own luthier, which is fitted with the pickups and tuners removed from Lemmy's own Rickenbastard when it was serviced. Rob also has a custom Lemmy 'Murder One' Marshall Super Bass wired to the same specification as Lemmy's and two Marshall 4x15 cabs with 4x12 cabs either side of the stage. The line-up also features Al Leach on guitar and 'Dirty' Dave Nutter on drums with some 'dep' drummers and guitarists to help out with the busy touring schedule. Motörheadache toured the UK extensively in 2016 and embarked on its new UK & European tour on 21st January 2017 with over 60 dates in the diary including large summer festivals such as Hard Rock Hell Road Trip 2017 in Ibiza, Rocker's Reunited Lindos 2017 Festival in Greece and various biker rallys such as Pentrich Rock and Blues, Yorkshire Rock and Bike Festival and Festwich in Manchester. After some showcase gigs in O2 Academy venues in Glasgow, Newcastle and London later in the year as part of the band's The Curse Still Rings True tour, in January 2018 Motörheadache will headline at the Lemmy Dutch Memorial concert in Amsterdam The main body of the Motörheadache's set list comprises a large number of songs from Motörhead's Fast Eddie Clarke era, regarded by many Motörheadbangers as the classic era from 1975 to 1982. Songs include Ace of Spades, Bomber, Overkill, Iron Fist, The Hammer, Damage Case and the thunderous Motörhead - the last song Lemmy wrote for Hawkwind and the one that gave his new band its name. Motörheadache also play material written by Motörhead from 1983 through to 2015. From Brian Robertson's short stint in1983, to the re-launch in 1984 of Motörhead as a four piece with Wurzel and Phil Campbell on guitars and finally, the longstanding Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee era from 1995 to 2015. Songs from this period include Killed by Death, In the Name of Tragedy, Sacrifice, Ramones and Burner. Motörheadache also performs Victory or Die from Motörhead's last studio outing, Bad Magic a song that Lemmy and Motörhead never got the chance to play live in the UK with the cancellation of Motörhead's 2016 UK tour. Motörheadache is proud to help keep alive the music of Motörhead by playing gigs all over the UK and Europe and invites Motörhead fans to celebrate the life and work of a rock icon and legend, Mr Lemmy Kilmister.
