Stand up comedian Ed Night brings his fringe show The Plunge to the Albany. “Hi there, I’m Ed Night. I’m a stand up comedian. I’ve just come back from the Edinburgh Fringe and soon enough it’ll be time for me to sling a microphone over my shoulder and start hopping on boxcars bound for every corner of this dusty old isle (and beyond, God willing!) to tour my new stand-up comedy show, The Plunge. Won’t you join me in the warm?” As seen and heard on Comedy Central, ITV2, and BBC Radio 4. Best reviewed shows of Edinburgh Fringe 2024. (For ages 16+)
The Mushroom Show: Workshop

The Mushroom Show: Workshop

30 May 2025 - 30 May 2025

Join Scratchworks Theatre after their performance of The Mushroom Show at Deptford Lounge for a workshop in the Albany garden. Learn EVEN MORE about fungi with the cast of The Mushroom Show, and take part in interactive games and challenges. In this extra-special session, we will meet even MORE marvellous mushrooms, work together as a team in hands-on activities and be inspired by the way fungi build strong and generous communities. Packed full of scientific fun and theatre-based creativity, this workshop is for children and their grown ups, to learn and play together. This workshop will be most enjoyable for families who have watched The Mushroom Show in the morning. In between, why not join us for lunch (mushroom soup, anyone?) in our community CaffA. All children must be accompanied by an adult for this workshop – please buy a ticket for both adults and children attending. Supported by Arts Council England, Doorstep Arts, Libraries Unlimited, Beaford, Unity Trust + The University of Plymouth.
