Hidden Mothers & Pleiades (matinee Show)
bUTTONpUSHER presents.... HIDDEN MOTHERS Following the release of their emotionally wrought debut single, 'The Longest Journey Yet' in mid-2019, Hidden Mothers have wasted no time establishing themselves on the UK scene, landing main support slots with international bands such as Planes Mistaken For Stars, Inter Arma, Coilguns and Yautja within a few months of that first release. Despite all that happened at the start of 2020, the band persevered and released their debut self-titled EP in September of that year to rave reviews that compared them to the likes of Oathbreaker, Envy, Converge, Thrice and Amenra. Since the lifting of restrictions for live music events in the UK, Hidden Mothers have had a string of successful shows (including support slots with big names such as Wiegedood, Yob, Portrayal Of Guilt and Employed To Serve) and have honed their live show considerably on the back of this work. At the time of writing this, Hidden Mothers are booked in to record their debut album with Joe Clayton (Pijn/Leeched) at No Studio, Manchester. The band have also just been announced for the 2023 instalment of ArcTanGent Festival alongside Converge, Deafheaven, Cave In, Russian Circles and more. + PLEIADES Encouraging themselves to be seen as an anomaly of the alternative world, Manchester based Post Hardcore outfit Pleiades have spent the time since their formation cultivating an artistic, heavy sound that leaves them unbound by categorisation. Inspired by stories of empathy and human nature, they aim to be the sculptors of a bold new sonic landscape. Pleiades earned critical acclaim with the release of their second EP All At Your Mercy defying the concept of convention and all expectations of genre, with their organic and strikingly candid approach to their craft leading Kerrang! to dub them a vital new voice in UK rock. The band have since gone on to share stages with Pagan, Blanket, Hawthorne Heights, As Everything Unfolds and more, affirming a status worthy of a place among the highest ranks of the global scene, with their 2023 return to performing after a brief hiatus marked by a sell-out show in their hometown of Manchester. The band will be embarking on their biggest year to date in 2023, with their debut album 'Affinity With' announced for September 29th 2023, and a live schedule thatll take them to every corner of the country for the first time since the pandemic.

The impact of Mana was immediate earning 'Best of 2019' album accolades from Metal Hammer, Decibel, Invisible Oranges, Treble, Stereogum and Heavy Consequence, with the latter observing, “Franco sounds more like Robert Smith than he does Bruce Dickinson, even though one can hear The Cure and Iron Maiden both in his band’s sound.” Since then, their 2021 follow up, Strength has been equally well received, landing in various outlets 'Best of 2021' album round ups.
