Hailing from Barnsley Rock City in t'North, The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican are on a mission! Determined to follow in their spiritual father’s immortal footsteps and keep his legacy alive, they have a talent for Bar-Stewardizing other famous people’s songs with new comedy lyrics, on acoustic geetar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, accordion, keyboard, keytar, and the world's first synthesiser ukulele! To complete their squeaky-clean image, brothers-from-other-mothers Scott, Björn and Alan have become instantly recognisable for their immaculate hair and their stylish choice of knitwear. A band that is both perpetually on the move and joyously independent, since forming in 2006, they have played over 1000 side-splitting shows to date, and have brought smiles and belly-laughs to audiences across the UK; from Barnsley to Barnstaple, from Glastonbury to Glasgow. They continue to wow audiences with their anarchic live shows and a fine selection of their greatest hits, including the likes of “Jump Ararnd”, “The Lady In Greggs”, "How Deep Is Your Glove?", "Paint 'em Back", "Walking In Manpiss" and “If I Could Punch A Face… It’d Be Justin Bieber’s”.

Larry Dean & Friends

Larry Dean & Friends

18 Jul 2026 - 18 Jul 2026

Three-time Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show nominee (2015, 2018, 2022), Larry Dean has firmly established himself as one of the UK's leading stand-ups. Named by The Telegraph as one of the 50 Best Comedians of the 21st Century, his live performances have earned a string of ★★★★★ reviews, with The Herald calling him a national treasure and Rolling Stone praising him as 'stitch-inducingly funnyan expert regaler of daft. His TV credits include Live at the Apollo (as both host and guest), QI, Mock The Week, Michael McIntyre's Big Show, Richard Osman's House of Games, and The Royal Variety Performance 2024. He has fronted multiple series of the BBC New Comedy Awards, starred in Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Comedy Central's Roast Battle, and appeared on World's Most Dangerous Roads (BBC Two). Larry's reach extends far beyond the stage, with over 200 million views online and a combined social following of more than one million across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
Simon Evans: Simon Evans is Staring at the Sun
Staring at the Sun sees Simon Evans (Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Simon Evans Goes to Market, One Person Found This Helpful) squinting at an uncertain future, revisiting the blue remembered hills of his youth and trying to stay human as the world around him gets smarter. With the AI singularity looming and “reality” feeling increasingly unstable, Evans looks ahead to the coming shockwaves of technology, and back to the analogue pleasures of hitch-hiking, pub bets, and getting properly lost. Turning his famously dry, surgically precise style on the big modern questions: Are we living in a computer simulation? What happens when your body starts issuing software updates you didn’t request? And is staring straight at a solar eclipse, against expert advice, actually an act of courageous self-sacrifice on the road to true enlightenment? Part philosophical exploration, part nostalgic joyride, Staring at the Sun is a hilarious analysis of reality and trust from a man desperately trying to keep his balance while the floor keeps moving. The tone is unmistakably Evans: provocative, literate, and playfully combative, but also soaked in self-awareness. Evans draws on theories propounded by philosophers and mystics since the days of Plato and Ecclesiastes, casting himself as a public intellectual but constantly undercutting his points with brutally funny domestic truths. Simon Evans is one of the UK’s most respected and best loved comedians who has been at the top of his game for over twenty-five years. His TV credits include two appearances on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo, one on Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow, and a season of Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week. On BBC Radio 4 his series Simon Evans Goes to Market, delighting audiences with his witty and insightful take on the comedically-unpromising territory of economics, has had six seasons. He is also a regular on Radio 4’s The News Quiz, and various other panel games, and from 1998 to 2002 wrote and hosted eight series of the news satire, The Way It Is. He also stars in One Person Found This Helpful – a Radio 4 show he co-devised with Jason Hazely and Pozzitive Productions, that has fun with on-line customer reviews and hosted Headliners – a regular preview of the following day’s newspapers with two other comedians on GB News. Evans is also in demand as a columnist and has written extensively for The Spectator, The Telegraph and Spiked.

An Evening of Rock and (Camera) Roll.
'An Evening of Rock and (camera) Roll is an exciting new show and charity event from local songwriter & creative writing lecturer Daniel Ash and music therapy charity George's Rockstars. In this one-off performance local songwriters will debut never-before-heard songs inspired by photographs found on their phones camera rolls. Each participating songwriter was challenged to select a photograph and create an original song in response transforming the prettiest, strangest or funniest visual they could find into a new composition. As a songwriter who so often finds himself in a state of writer's block, it's something I started doing myself to spark creativity, explains Ash. I was going to build an entire solo show around the idea, but thought it would be far more interesting to challenge some brilliant local writers with the same task. The plan is that together we can create an exclusive live mixtape. The photographs that inspired the songs will be displayed during the performances, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in the connection between picture and song. All money from ticket sales will go directly to George's Rockstars, a local charity that provides music therapy and lessons for children with terminal illnesses. The charity was set up in honour of George OShaughnessy, a student of Daniel's who sadly lost his battle with leukaemia in 2019. Featuring performances from; Dan OFarrell, Owen Hackett, Richard Bushby, Southbound, Everyday Avatar, Sam Brawn, Tamara-Jane Grzegorzek, BGH, Teenage Waitress & many, many more.

Simon Evans Back on Tour!

15 Oct 2026 - 15 Oct 2026

With growing evidence that we are living in a Computer Simulation, and a pretty glitchy, off-brand simulation at that and the approaching watershed of the AI Singularity looming like a weirdly pixelated cumulo-nimbus on the horizon, BBC Radio 4 stalwart and veteran of a quarter century of highly acclaimed stand-up comedy Simon Evans is squinting at an uncertain future, and revisiting the blue remembered hills of his youth. The analogue world of hitch-hiking, pub bets and hedge porn. Of being able to get properly lost. And also pondering the great thinkers and mystics of the past who had, it seems, the same doubts and misgivings about reality, back when an adjustable sandal passed for cutting-edge tech. NB Any similarity of Doll in package to Patrick Stewart is coincidental. No refunds.

Alfie Moore: Acopalypse Now

13 Jun 2026 - 26 Nov 2026

The Four Horsemen of Rising Crime, Global Warming, AI and Culture Wars are galloping towards us. Are we on the road to hell? And can we avoid the potholes? In his brand new tour show 'Fair Cop' Alfie has the antidote to the breakdown of law and order, fake news and the price of baked beans. Somewhere in a parallel universe little Alfie’s natural comedic performance skills were recognised by his doting parents who encouraged and developed his blossoming talent. After several years as a stage school brat Alfie’s angelic face was launched on stage and screen and the rest is history. Meanwhile, in this universe Alfie Moore was told to stop messing about in class before being ‘encouraged’ into the grinding, grimy world of an apprenticeship in the Sheffield steelworks. When recession hit he traded steel for copper by joining Humberside Police. In his 40s the two universes collided when Alfie made a bid for showbiz success – but unfortunately 30 years of shift-work and being punched in the face quite a lot, had left him with ‘a face for radio’. A face not so much ‘lived in’ as inhabited by a settlement of squatters with little regard to property maintenance and repair.
