Jack and the Beanstalk

19 Dec 2026 - 3 Jan 2027

'Jack and the Beanstalk (The Adult Pantomime)' has all of the grace, taste and class of... well, a tipsy night on the town! Jack and his cow Daisy (no, not his mother, that's Dame Trott) are destined for adventure when a transaction goes awry involving Jack being convinced selling an entire cow for 'magic beans' is a good idea (we've all felt similarly scammed by an online purchase). All he has to do now is climb the beanstalk, grown from the 'magic beans', save Jill (as if she couldn't save herself) and defeat the giant in Cloudland - what on earth could go wrong? Dame Dotty and Jack's dim-witted brother Simple Simon will be there to keep him hilarious company, alongside Fleshcreep the Giant's henchman...you are making your own jokes up already, I know. Come along for a proper laugh and a load of fun (without the kids)! Age 18+ only. This pantomime is designed for an adult audience with elements some might find offensive including swearing, sexual references and partial nudity. Directed by Andrew Woolley

Stubborn and headstrong, Cathy and Heathcliff live-out their time apart but are intrinsically interwoven into each others beings. Narrated by Nelly Dean, the faithful servant, this staging highlights the impact of their choices on those around them, with Young Cathy, Edgar, Isabella and Linton destined to play their parts in this fate-twisted, bitter-sweet tale of soulmates caged by class. Based on the novel by Emily Bronte Adapted by Catherine Prout Directed by Alexandra Whitworth
