Discover The Rich History of Southampton! Southampton is a city full of historical events and stories within its medieval walls, much of which still stand to this day! Come with us to hear about our historic walls and stories about some of the medieval buildings and famous people who have lived in and visited Southampton over the centuries! Venture underground into some of the town vaults and discover further about our city's history! We look forward to seeing you on our tours! The tour will last approximately 90 minutes. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Southampton Hongkongers Protest Event
Community
In 2019, there was a large protest in Hong Kong which aimed on defending the human rights, freedom and democracy of Hong Kong people. However, since the protest movement start, more than 10,000 people have been arrested in protest-related cases, and over 2,300 charged. Many of them have been detained and are facing prosecution under the National Security Law and illegal assembly rules. Hong Kongers in Southampton would like to draw the community awareness to the situation of Hong Kong. The activities of this protest and rally includes photo exhibition, chanting, personal experience sharing, singing, and signing letters to MPs. Note: This will take place at the northern side of The Bargate.

Visit the medieval walls and wine vaults, and hear the stories of Southampton’s most famous ships, including the Pilgrim Fathers’ Mayflower and the Titanic, along with tales of Southampton’s famous residents, such as novelist Jane Austen.
