Private Lives

Private Lives

19 Sept 2025 - 20 Sept 2025

"We were so ridiculously over in love. Funny, wasnt it? Horribly funny Glamorous, rich, reckless and divorced. Elyot and Amanda once shared a tempestuous marriage and now, unexpectedly reunited on adjoining honeymoon balconies (with their new spouses), the sparks of old love flare once more. What follows is a deliciously dangerous cocktail of romance, resentment, and razor-sharp wit as the former couple fling themselves headlong into passion and chaos. Can love survive when the arguments are half the fun? After a triumphant run at the Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells and a sold-out weekend at the Apollo Theatre, Isle of Wight, Dionysus Theatres sparkling new revival of Private Lives continues its acclaimed UK tour. Starring Robert Tremayne and Lauren Whedbee (in roles originally played by Coward and Gertrude Lawrence), this dazzling production also features company favourite David Upcraft and newcomer Kelly Verstappen, with Vicky Newman returning to direct following her celebrated production of The Woman in White. Expect cocktails, Paris, passion and a few broken records. Book now dont miss the comedy event of the summer.

Wick Theatre Company Presents The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Fifteen year old Christopher embarks on an investigation... It is seven minutes after midnight, Christopher has discovered Mrs Shears dog with its eyes closed lying on the grass. It looks like its running on its side, but its not. The dog is dead. Here begins the mystery. This is Christopher's murder mystery story. There are also no lies in this story because Christopher can't tell lies. Christopher does not like strangers or the colours yellow or brown or being touched. On the other hand, he knows all the countries in the world and their capital cities and every prime number up to 7507. He sees the world in details, in patterns and numbers. When Christopher decides to find out who killed the neighbour's dog, his mystery story becomes more complicated than he could have ever predicted. Mark Haddon's best-selling novel has been turned into a moving play which won the Olivier Award in 2013 and has been performed world-wide: this is a powerful and visually stunning story of bravery and tenacity that is full of surprises.

The Unfriend

The Unfriend

24 Sept 2025 - 27 Sept 2025

Southwick Players are delighted to present this fabulous comedy by Steven Moffat Directed by Sarah Papouis Peter & Debbie are enjoying a cruise - a celebration of twenty years of marriage, and a break from their annoying teenagers. They befriend fellow passenger, Elsa Jean Krakowski, a lusty, eccentric, American with a fondness for Donald Trump. Shes less than woke but kind of wonderful. Theres something slightly unsettling in her overeager friendliness. They agree to stay in touch - because no one ever does, do they? Back home, in the comfort of suburbia, Elsa turns up on Peter and Debbies doorstep, and when they look up their houseguest online, unearthing some hair-raising evidence, their good nature is challenged as never before. What kind of danger have they allowed to take up residence in their guest room? How do you protect all that you love from mortal peril without seeming, well, a bit impolite!
